Hey everyone, I am living in the Rochester Ny area and some of you know things are not going very well for my family and I. I am desperately in need of a good paying job. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant however that certificate has gotten me know where. I am willing and able to do any type of work. I apoligize for using this forum as a "want ad" but as you may know you ladies and gentleman are my only source of peace ,tranquility and support at this time (my only god loving family) and I cant help but feel something great coming out of this.

Your prayers and support have kept my family and I a float, but with my husbands situation and having 3 kids I think I am being called to be the one to "rescue" us. We are living at my dads and have eachother, but unfortunately in this world that is not enough I can not stand to see my children suffer anymore. They have no friends (the neighbor hood trouble maker has spread lies about my children so they lost all their "friends" and are heart broken over it), sometimes barely any food, and we never have money to "do" anything they would enjoy. They sit here everyday watching the other kids playing outside together, and sleeping on my dads floor is getting really old!! I have been hoping for a miracle, I would do almost anything to have a decent home to raise my children in, but it is apparent that with our credit and just his income we are getting no where very fast.

O.K Im done whinning, I have been doing that way too much lately.......anyway please keep us in your prayers as I do all of you, you guys are my strong hold and I would be lost with out your support. If any of you know of any employers that are hiring or have any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your patience, prayers, support and love.

All my love, Kari

Hey Kari.

When it comes in getting a job don't except for high salaries. It is very rare companies would do those. Trying searching for companies or go to sites such has monster.com and there are plenty of job sites. They are lot of vacancy everywhere. Just don't be in high hopes regarding high salary and other stuff.

As far as salary that I will leave in the lords hands. Im sure he has a plan here, the only part I have figured out though is I am being led into the "head of household" postion and it is very scary. He would not lead me to it if he could not lead me through it, so I will just hold on tight and enjoy the ride. As for Monster and Jobs.com etc,,, I have posted a resume quite some time ago. I have also applied numerous places and even had a nice resume put together. Im pretty sure with my lack of continued education no one see's me as a good candidate.

Angelmae, I know how expensive living in NY can be. (I spent 14 years in upstate NY) It is great that you are a certified Veterinary Assistant. You might want to try going to a few Animal Hospitals and puting your resume, online in the Rochester area. Have you posted your resume, with any agencies, or with the local emplyment office? These are only a few suggestions, that I thought of, and I am praying that one of them, will lead you to the right employment. Keep checking back at places you have put your application in. Sometime the Vets get busy and forget to give you a call.

My prayers are with you and your family.
Miche
Kari,

I am praying for you.

I have a suggestion.............

With your degree, you might be able to get a decent job at a PET SMART or some other Pet retail place.

I know it probably isn't a perfect job, but it might work.

Hugs,

Miche

Angelmae ... I have a sign in front of my sink .. it has been there for over 20 years.. it simply says.. the Lord provides..

I can attest to the fact that He always has.. and I believe He will do it in your case too!

I will continue to remember you before the throne of El Shaddai - the God of many breasts.. who will nourish and
provide for all of your needs

---------

Use in the Bible: In the Old Testament El Shaddai occurs 7 times. El Shaddai is first used in Gen 17:1.

Strong's Reference: 7706

El Shaddai in the Septuagint: theou saddai — God Shaddai; pantokratôr (for Shaddai) — the Almighty

Meaning and Derivation: El is another name that is translated as "God" and can be used in conjunction with other words to designate various aspects of God's character. Another word much like Shaddai, and from which many believe it derived, is shad meaning "breast" in Hebrew (some other scholars believe that the name is derived from an Akkadian word Šadu, meaning "mountain," suggesting strength and power). This refers to God completely nourishing, satisfying, and supplying His people with all their needs as a mother would her child. Connected with the word for God, El, this denotes a God who freely gives nourishment and blessing, He is our sustainer.

Further references of the name El Shaddai in the Old Testament: Gen 17:1; Gen 28:3; Gen 35:11; Gen 43:14; Gen 48:3

Don't worry too much about your education Kari there are many people who succeeded without education.

Do you love animals Kari?. If so work with NGO or Hospitals and there are so many place where animals are calling out for help.

Angel, this is how God provided for me and my 3 kids when I was in your situation.
I worked as a staff accountant for several companies, doing accounts payable and payroll. I hated sitting in an office all day crunching numbers when I had so many problems to deal with. My husband of seventeen years, was now addicted to illegal drugs, had many girlfriends, couldn't hold down a job, and couldn't pay child support. It was all up to me.

Once, when I was out of a job, my friend asked me to come and help her in her housecleaning business. I loved it!! I started my own. I scraped up enough money to put an ad in the local paper, and I got two clients from it. They loved my work and told many of thier friends, who told more people about me. I loved the flexibility and not having to beg for a day off if one of my kids got sick. No power games like there were at the office, if somebody didn't like my personality or what I charged, I was able to replace them fairly quickly. In seventeen years, I have only had to advertise 3 times because most of my jobs have come by referrals.

Most of my furniture and household items were given to me by some of my wealthy clients who just got tired of something and wanted to spend more of thier money. They have all been very good to me, and I love being my own boss. In fact, I've had several whose houses were so clean, I think they just hired me for the company. If you are honest and trustworthy, show up when you say you will, are flexible enough to do the things they need done even if it's taking their dog to the vet, you will have all the work you want. I was fairly athletic most of my life, so the physical work keeps me strong too. This is just one idea, but it could lead to another. There is a couple in my community, who bought a camper-type van, and turned it into a mobile dog-grooming van. They would take the doggies into the van and bring them out all clipped, clean and "foo-fee." One of my clients paid them $75.00 a month for her two dogs, who were finished within 30 minutes. The owner of the mobile company, said she couldn't take on any more clients because there weren't enough hours in the day. She was swamped!!!

Still praying for you. 1dsz5e4.gif
