DREAMS - Phyllis Popovich shadowofthecross@cox.net
I awoke this a.m. with a dream strongly on my mind, but not an extremely strong dream. I knew it must be from the Lord, because I couldn't shake it. My dreams are always very easy to understand and this one was no different.
Dream:
I seemed to be outside of a building, when my husband came up with a boutonniere on his lapel with a name attached. He told me we needed three more and they had to be ready for our wedding we were going to...I had to make haste to get the boutonniere ready. I kept thinking there is so little time as he said we had to be in another state (Alabama) in the dream; and we were way too many miles away from the place to get there in time (three hours away) for the wedding. Each boutonniere required a name to be printed and placed on them; I thought this was my responsibility, later found out it didn't matter that much.
Instead of helping me to prepare for the wedding, we were then inside a building where there were folding chairs set up and a large gathering of people. He promptly sat down on the only one in sight, and left me no place to sit except on the floor at his feet. I was uncomfortable and wanted to find another place, and saw a chair behind me and was going to move it closer to him to sit on, but couldn't...I had to remain in my uncomfortable position.
Then, we were at the wedding dinner. All the preparations that I thought I had to do had already been done by my husband. People were standing awaiting the dinner.
My interpretation: (If you see it otherwise, or have something else to add, please do.)
My husband was the Lord, but we were going to be married. (In the dream it was as if everything had been prearranged by him. I really had nothing to do but get prepared.
The state of Alabama is quite a distance from California. (This may have a more personal meaning for me anyway.) The seating arrangements...many within the bride of Christ are very uncomfortable within most churches, and are spending time before Him in prayer, intercession and worship. There really is no other place in this world where we can find true comfort, except at His feet.
Before any time elapsed (or so it seemed) we were in another gathering. Everything had been prepared. He had done it all. My worrying and scurrying would have made no difference, so I only needed to sit at His feet until time to go. While people were standing there in this gathering, we knew we were waiting for the wedding feast.
The number three is very significant in this dream. Many are of the belief that Rosh Hashanna of this year could be the time of the rapture. If that is so, Rosh Hashanna begins on September 29th. That is three months and three days away, as of this date. Of course, it could mean three years, but we must be prepared to meet our Lord, with a truly penitent heart.
His having everything ready, reminded me of the following scripture verses;
Matthew 22:4
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
Luke 14:17
And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
Food for thought:
We should not be overly concerned about anything or anybody around us at this time, but take care that we are spending enough time with the Lord. Now is not the time to make major changes, unless you know for sure you have a very firm and strong word from the Lord. We are out of our comfort zone. This world and the things in it should no longer have any hold on us.
Blessings, Phyllis
P. S. Below is another dream I had several years ago. It is included in the preface to the book that is at the publishers.
I was in what appeared to be a kitchen. Everything was pushed up against the west wall. This included awards and trophies in a case high up on the wall. There was a window covered over by the things pushed up against that wall. I especially noted a long, heavy, wooden table, with no chairs and nothing on it. It, too, was pushed up against the wall.As the scene changed, the table moved from the west to the north, there were still no chairs. Next, this rectangular table moved further east. The short widths of the table were on the east and west, and the longer sides to the north and south. It was shaped like a rectangle, with the west end rounded and the east end squared. The table was almost invisible in extremely tall grass. There were five chairs on either side, all empty.
The picture changed again, and I was standing beneath a large, tall tree, holding three packs of playing cards of 52 each. As I looked at them, they fell on the ground spread out in the shape of a fish. I heard the words, “Pick up.” I began wrapping bits of what appeared to be food in aluminum foil and placing these morsels above my head as I heard the words, “Wrap up.”
Interpretation: Israel is backed up against the wall; everything they treasure pushed out of place, and they can see no way out; many yet have to receive the light of the knowledge of Jesus, the Light of the World, as their Messiah.
The table moving to the north indicated the nations to their north were “tabling” things in preparation to act against the nation of Israel. The northern army was laying plans to march against Israel with their Arab allies, as in Ezekiel 38 and 39---the battle of Gog and Magog.
Then, the table was moved toward the east. The tall grass surrounding it was reminiscent of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, when he was punished by the Lord. This predicted our present involvement with Iraq; and, the ten chairs, representative of the ten kings, who will come out of the revised Roman Empire (the European Common Market).
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
The rounded west end left no place for a chair; evidently, the West, normally considered the United States, will not take part in this end-time scenario, as the “elitists” plan to demoralize and wipe out our culture. The tables represent events which will eventually culminate in the Middle East, with a pseudo-peace placing Israel in great jeopardy.
The cards represent a period of time (in the dream I knew the timing, but not when I awoke), or the days of prophecy quickly playing out and picking up on a daily basis. The last part of the dream was a reminder to lay up our treasures in heaven.
(Three decks of playing cards represent three years...52 cards (weeks in a year)...I have no idea when the three years were to begin, but believe it could be this Fall. However, they start during the period the 10 kings are preparing to rule under AC. The three years then, could mean mid-tribulation. Perhaps God will show one of you out there the full meaning of these three.)
P.P.S. Have a most wonderful and blessed day.
