- I AM A SOLDIER -
In the Army of God

"I am a soldier in the army of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the Rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out.

I am faithful, reliable, capable, and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me to serve my Church family, at home, in the neighborhood, in foreign lands, He can use me because, I am there!

I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up, or pepped up.

I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp.

I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to.

I am committed, I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Yeshua called me into His army I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my needs.

I am more than a conqueror; I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Sickness cannot stop me because He is my healer.

Battles cannot beat me because I am victorious in Him and we win. Money cannot buy me because I am His. Government can not silence me and hell cannot handle me.

I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him.

I am a soldier in the army, and I'm marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound. Here I stand!"

Question: Which section of the service are you in?

1. Active Duty - Serving the Lord faithfully, daily and on duty 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

2. Reserve Status - Serving only when called upon a couple times a year holidays or feasts.

3. Guard Status - Backing up the Active Duty group.

4. AWOL - Absent Without The Lord

Titus
As I was musing around this awesome board, I was thinking that
those that are ready to be sent forth must be steadfast soldiers,
standing at attention and not wavering in their focus upon Jesus, not
going back to the world or taking side trips from Jesus who is the reality
time and time again. He is calling us to a better
focus, so that we may stand with our loins girded about us and our
mind set on heaven. We will then see into the heavenly realms and
taste the glory of the Father; for even Jesus had to set Himself apart to
come before His Father and "know." His prayer on earth was that we
would enter in by the straight path which Jesus in His death made possible
for you and me.

Welcome Titus:

I am a newbie here also!

Becoming aware, also, that He is calling us to silence before Him, to "wait and know" before we "go
and do." In this way He will instruct us in all that is coming to be. Our Commander-in-Chief issues orders!

"But ye believe not, because ye are not my sheep, as I have said unto you. My sheep shall hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:26, 27

I like this post. 1dsz5h2.gif Welcome to the forum Run! smile.gif I like the soldier analogy. I posted a thread on the similarity of the Foriegn Legion to the call of discipleship. The Lord is our new homeland! smile.gif
