His Glory is a Rainbow
None Of Self And All Of Thee
(T. Monod / J. McGranahan)

Oh, the bitter pain and sorrow
That a time could ever be,
When I proudly said to Jesus,
"All of self, and none of Thee."
All of self, and none of Thee,
All of self, and none of Thee,
When I proudly said to Jesus,
"All of self, and none of Thee."

Yet He found me; I beheld Him
Bleeding on th' accursed tree,
And my wistful heart said faintly,
"Some of self, and some of Thee."
Some of self, and some of Thee,
Some of self, and some of Thee,
And my wistful heart said faintly,
"Some of self, and some of Thee."

Day by day His tender mercy,
Healing, helping, full and free,
Brought me lower while I whispered,
"Less of self, and more of Thee."
Less of self, and more of Thee,
Less of self, and more of Thee,
Brought me lower while I whispered,
"Less of self, and more of Thee."

Higher than the highest heaven,
Deeper than the deepest sea,
Lord, Thy love at last has conquered:
"None of self, and all of Thee."
None of self, and all of Thee,
None of self, and all of Thee,
Lord, Thy love at last has conquered:
"None of self, and all of Thee

1 Peter 3:9

"Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing."

Heavenly Father, from the scriptures it is very clear that you desire your children to be blessed. You gave us great and precious promises that are yeah and amen in Christ Jesus. Our Lord and Savior himself made hundreds of promises to those who believe in him. Nothing is impossible with you and not one of your words is without power or impossible of fulfillment. Knowing our tendency to fall into doubt or unbelief, and having heart attitudes that hinder us to receive the promised blessings, you even provide instructions how we are to think and behave in order to see your blessings manifest in our lives. Abba, we acknowledge that our human nature is bent toward unforgiveness, revenge, unthankfulness, presumption, selfishness, murmuring, self-pity and the like. Forgive us, O Lord for such destructive attitudes that hinder, and quench, and grieve the Holy Spirit, who is ready to do your bidding and pour out your blessings. We repent and turn to Jesus to receive the character and likeness of your dear Son. May the fruit of the Spirit manifest through us. Thank you for changing us from glory to glory into the image and likeness of your dear Son. May we become a blessing to others, as we reach out in Love and Faith to make a difference in this sin sick world. Thank you, Father that you promise to send the Holy Spirit alongside us to confirm your word with signs and wonders, pointing to Jesus Christ, the - Savior of the world. In Jesus name we pray - Amen
