THE SEVEN THUNDERS
THE MORNING WHISPER

The Utterance cracked the cool still air,
Like church bells pealed with extolling blare,
Aurora fled from her celestial post,
And Michael receded with angelic host,
The Morning Whisper stirred slumber’s embrace,
’Rousing my temple upon its knees to seek His Face,
With sonorous felicity I did obey,
To please my Lord and order my day.

“How, my Lord, may I serve Thee?
Inspire, guide, please direct me.”

The Morning Whisper murmured soberly----
“My child in whom I Am well pleased,
It is vital that your mind and heart do seize,
‘What is done onto the least of Mine,
Is done onto Me,’
Therefore labor for those who cannot,
Feed the poor, widow and orphan,
Those having no lot,
The sick in spirit, mind and body forget not,
Shelter the homeless in love,
Extend your hand to empty palms,
And your treasures will abound Heaven above,
Beyond temporal earthly alms.”

In their eyes reflect my Lord,
Victoriously wielding His Trusty Sword,
Thus, I am blessed to be His Hands,
I am humbled to take the stand,
And no handicap will stay my hand,
For with Christ I can do anything, yes I can.

And for the Morning Whisper I do give glory,
That wee silent voice,
Granting me His Auditory,
Beyond my very choice,
For you see, this old servant,
Does rejoice,
With abundant fervent,
In the selflessness,
And silence of my stone-deafness.
