What Shape Will The Church Be In 20yrs ?

With all the latest events unfolding before our very eyes i am hearing that we are in the last days

If this is so what shape will the body of christ be in will we be hear if the predictions are right ?

from what i have seen and observed the body of christ is in a bad shape

with all the bickering and back stabbing and gossip and name calling you think by know we would be at a place in our walk were we have grown out off this but its like we are holding onto to our old ways and allowing the flesh to take over instead off putting the hand out we allow the flesh to do as it pleases

I love what the apostle paul says in philippians

Philippians 1

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God

12 Now i would have you know brethren that the things which happend unto me have fallen out rather unto the progress of the gospel

13 so that my bonds became manifest in Christ through the whole praetorian gaurd and to all the rest

14 and that most of the brethren in the lord being confident through my bonds are more abundantly bold to speak the word of god with out fear

15 some indeed preach christ even of envy and strife and some also of good will

16 the one do it of love knowing that i am set for the defence of the gospel

17 but the other proclaim christ of faction not sincerely thinking to raise up affliction for me in my bonds

21 for me to live is christ and to die is gain

22 But if to live in the flesh if this is the fruit of my work then what i shall choose i will not

will the church and the body off christ be in a better position in 20yrs or wil history repeat its self to where we have not grown up but end up allowing the flesh to do what ever it pleases

or will we see what i am hearing unfold before our very eyes to where christ returns to take his right full seat and deals with the imposters and those who have caused us trouble ?

are you preaching this gospel you take for granted boldly or do you just play church and only tell the ones who do not know you what you want them to hear ?

Damo,

A church is a building, so my concern is not so much with the church but with the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ have proved to be poor witnesses for Christ largely due to satanic attack. In the last days demons will be earnestly trying to enter into Christian hearts. In knocking so earnestly they will be causing confusion, dissension, and hardships. All this is written in Rev, God knows. But still we as Christians can hurt when we get tossed about in the harvests of hurts. ANd Bible Scholar? You are rekindling the candle for the hurting. Good for you.

Gods Blessings,

What's up brother Damir! Good observations! biggrin.gif

A few months ago, I was reading the forum, and, I saw a topic with two of the girls bickering back and forth, and, it wasn't even over doctrine. It was, like, a cat fight, you know, how girls are, lol. They were just bickering over how they were acting etc. So, on my way to work, I was thinking about this, and, wondering, "what's up with that? Why do people just fight over stuff that's not even to do with the Bible???" I was kind of befuddled. But, right then, as I was pondering on this, the Spirit showed me like, a picture. It was how He saw us. And, I saw two little girls, and they were fighting, and, it was like they were 4 years old or something, and, He showed me that He looked at them exactly like little girls, like, His Daughters, but, that they were just like His little kids. It was like, a dad would look at his kids if they were fighting. He still loved them, because, He knew they were only kids. And that was how He saw us, like His kids, and, I felt the love that the Father felt for them. And, well, it was SOOOO COOOL. I was dumbfounded. I'd never seen anything like that before. And not only did it give me a glimpse of how He see's us, and, the love He has for us even if we are fighting and stuff, but, I saw that we are literally son's of God, and daughters of God. I saw and understood who we are in Him as a reality at that point, as in, if we are literally Son's and Daughters of God, who can do anything to us? We have an AMAZing future ahead of us. We're son's of God. And daughters. And, that's literal. And, that's exactly how He see's us, as children, little kids, His kids, who, fight sometimes. But, He still loves us nonetheless. Even as we are in the middle of fighting with each other and stuff, He loves us and sees us just like a dad would. biggrin.gif SOOOOO Coool! biggrin.gif:D

So, that was my take! Pretty cool huh! biggrin.gif

But, as for the church overall, I think He is going to do a work in us by His Spirit. The church (us) is going to be prepared for the end. And, is probably being made ready even now. He's not going to let us fall. We're His kids. Literally smile.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

There you go! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Two options:

1) If things continue as they are, persecuted horribly as a remnant points the world to Christ at risk of death.

2) Already entered a millennial period of tranquility and ruling with a rod of iron with Christ on the throne. NO SIN tolerated.

Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!

In Him,

Mike

Greetings

thanks for the replys Adeline brother Jeff and Adullam

good observation brother Jeff biggrin.gif smile.gif

and Adeline i know the church is not the building

what i have observed since i have been a christian has shown me how the disciples behaved and often Jesus had to rebuke them

what i am talking about is where will the body its self be in 20yrs will the body be the same or will we be preaching this gospel in boldness knowing that our time on this earth is short what are we doing to be effective for this gospel

do we alow the world to dictate to us or do we tell the world to get behind us and do what christ expects us to do

the world youth day is going to hit sydney soon and tuff laws have been put out for the world youth day

its like a slap in the face and their is going to be restrictions on what normal Aussies wear and all this for the pope for example if you are cought with a t shirt that is offensive its a $5,000 fine i was thinking are they going to fine the gays in padington for what they wear this is not done for normal pastors

when bishop td jakes was in Australia no tuff restrictions where placed or did the police go out of their way to make sure he was safe

can you see where i am getting at by what i have said in the post i put up ?

i am going to be praying with my other brothers and sisters that the lords name is not mocked by this fake who sees him self as gods choosen vesell

also we will be praying that the holy spirit invades Randwick Race course

some of us take this gospel for granted

while others suffer and are being persecuted and feel if the predictions i am hearing come true you will soon see who is real and who is playing church

what i am hearing is this their is going to be a strike on iran at the end off the year and israel has been training like they are getting ready to strike

that is why i put the verses from philippians

my pastor also has been challanging us

so that is why i am asking what shape will the church be in 20yrs

will the world still be dictating to us or will we tell the world to get behind us

In 20 years and at the rate of our technology is given, instead of typing all of this out, we can just debate about the bible at real time and through our own voices.

So far, some denomination members are dropping out like flies. IF this continues, the one church that will stand is the one that will make the most noise.

lets just hope that in 20 years, we do a better job to keep our faith than to lose it to some new scientific discovery that will debunk the bible.
MMarc

We are seeing more and more ministries who work outside of denominational structures.
As they work themselves with many different churches.

So I sense ministries will grow more and that the walls of denominations will fall more and more.

The true church will rise, glued by the Holy Spirit no matter what physical church or denom. we attend.

Actually, the church (Ekklesia) is supposed to be the disciples of Christ. They are the "called out ones." When Jesus said, On this rock I will build my church, I know He didn't mean a physical building. Jesus has a very strong spiritual side. The Body of Christ is an even more spiritual term...like the Bride of Christ. We should stick with the biblical way and come out of the worldly systems that quech the Spirit....and truly be separate. We will never know holiness while we are so attached to this world and it's ways.

I, personally, see the ministries as a band-aid solution. The system serves the system and does not cause believers to grow. The system is like a big jail cell. We are to be the "called out ones." People have nothing to compare the freedom that Jesus promised to. I see that Churchianity and ministries will continue. My prayer is that true disciples come together outside the camp and mature into the likeness of Christ. My prayer is that the church would once again become the pillar and ground of the truth.

Maybe there won't be a church in twenty years. Maybe it will be the millenial reign. In full bloom as joint heirs.

Mike I am glad to see someone here with the Truth, as they all try to talk themselves into sharing with the two kitties.
False sense of security is not recommended, as now the iron rod is working.

Thanks everyone for the replys i just want to see what others have to say on what i put in my post and to see if their are brothers and sisters out their who think like i do

our buildings we fellowship in will not be with us in heaven nor will our tv or stereo system or dvd and theater package or the cars we drive

when God decides its time to Judge the world and Judge us i want to make sure i do not get rebuked

at times i tremble when i share this gospel i dont want to lead no one astray and i dont want to tell any one to trust the doctrines many have fallen for or to trust what the world has to offer us

i was talking to my partner last night and i wil be talking to her tonight the typhoon that hit the philippines last saturday did a fair bit off damage our 4th church that is planted in mindanoa is completly destroyed all that is left off the church is the pulpit our pastors use thats it

the house our pastors own was nearly destroyed both Geraldean and her husband where asleep when the typhoon hit they wher wokken by the strong winds and the rain and the two dogs wher barking like crazy the three cats jupmed on the bed Geraldean said there house tilted to one side and they thought that the strong winds was going to lift the house off its supports and send them hurling into the big trees

all they did was pray and trust that god will see them threw the storm praise God he saw them threw the strom

they are know holding their services under a big old tree no new building and hear i am thinking why do we hold on to what we have while others loose everything they cheerish al the members are ok and they dont mind holding the sunday morning service out side

our church in la castellana was also hit hard my partner told me when the winds came threw her and our assistant pastor and the youth that sleep in the church where all wokken up my partner said to me she thought at one stage the roof was going to come off its hynges she just prayed and god made sure they where all safe

with everything that has happend in the philippines god has opened up a window and they are reaching out to people whoes hearts where once hardened

the ship that tipped is still in the midle of the ocean and the bodys are still inside the ship 1,000 lives where lost when the typhoon hit last saturday

the filapino christians do not let the world or circumstances they find them selves in dictate to them threw these difficult times they get together and support each other and spread the gospel in boldness

i do not see this hear where i live when something happens all i hear is how can god be so mean why did i loose all my personal belongings like tv stereo car and the sound system

and its like this with the christians i know they hold on to there goods and focus on what the world has to offer no longer do we trust god or do we depend on god to meet our needs we have to turn to man instead and depend on our goverments

i like what has been said thank you everyone

I understand what you're saying, there is a lot of baloney in ministries as well. But God gave us apostle, prophets, evangilist, pastors and teachrs to edify the saints.

I see true ones coming up, as the cream rises to the top....

But a lot of denoms refute the servants of the Lord as they did in the past. Too bad really.
