Thanks so much for posting your dream. IT IS CRAZY TIMING! I was on the phone with Valerie telling her about your dream and our conversation.... and BAM your post came up for everyone's viewing. I know that it is another confirmation from the Lord.

My experience was this:

Early in the year, I woke up on a Friday morning to go to work. Because we always run tight around here, I had driven home from work with just enough gas- knowing that my husband's check would be direct deposited at midnight. I would fill up before driving in.

When I went to the gas station, there was a problem. I could not use my debit card. At first I thought it was just THAT particular gas station, but when I went the closest ATM to get money (not my bank's), I could not use my card there either. Now, late for work, I went home to phone my job to tell them I wouldn't be on time. Then, I called my bank to see what was going on. Apparently, ALL DEBIT CARDS throughout the entire Midwest region weren't working... and they couldn't tell me when the problem would be fixed. They advised me to use my bank's ATM- stating that'd I'd be able to make a withdrawl there.

So, running on fumes, I drove to my bank's ATM. Again, I could not get any money (apparently my bank was giving out poor information!!! LOL). Luckily, I had my checkbook with me. I went into a grocery store and wrote a check for cash. I finally could get some GAS!

I went to the nearest gas station to fill up. By this point, I needed a drink of water!!! I went inside to purchase a bottled water, and wouldn't you know it, their computer system was down and they had to manually ring up my purchase.

By this point, I KNEW that the Lord was saying that at some point, we would not be able to depend on current technology. I also knew that He wanted me to have some cash on hand for emergencies.

I had a dream two to three months ago that gas stations would no longer take credit cards - all they would take was cash.

I kept wondering if this would become a reality after seeing gas prices rise so much since then. Now this report showed up on Wednesday of this week to confirm the dream I had:

Former moderator and all around devotee to CHRIST JHamner had a similar experince before mine concerning the very same thing - the LORD told her that soon cash would be the only thing accepted at gas stations.

In addition to the cash only part of the dream, there was a man who drove into the gas station who tried to attack me with a very sharp knife. He had just purchased a large flat screen TV, and when I mentioned how nice it was he yelled out "It's not for you!" and pulled a knife out and attacked me with it. JHamner thought that might be the warning that violence will occur more often if people get desperate, since they may be afraid of being robbed and will have to use the cash in their checking and saving accounts to pay for gas, leaving little for other things. I also believe this dream shows that people will continue to use their credit cards to buy things they don't need despite the fact they should save their money for food, gas,medicine and to help meet the needs of others.

The warning is clear - we need to be prepared - have cash with you or better yet, get travellers checks (if you lose those they can be replaced). JHamner and I were thinking that people may end up being robbed much more often at gas stations because they would have cash with them instead of just credit or debit cards. Cash may become king again for a period of time!

Since profit margins are so slim at gas stations (which is the cause of this behavior), we may see similar things happen at some grocery store chains since the profit margin on food is typically only 1%. Think about it - if people end up paying cash more and more for gas, that leaves less cash in their checking accounts for other things like food. Time to start walking I guess!

Now that Israel is really amping up the likelyhood of a strike against Iran, oil prices will start soaring upwards (based on speculation of a war in the Middle East) and that will cause ripple effects across the world in terms of gas prices. Could this be the tipping point that causes many nations to come against Israel in an effort to stop the violence in the Middle East? Seems it is all about the oil, doesn't it? Perhaps they will do it thinking they are doing the world favor, something for the "common good" of all?

I think July 8th through the 11th are going to be interesting days as well. No only are there predictions of calamity in California during that time period, but there are signs on the sky that point to action on the ground! Saturn and mars will be in conjunction during the July 8th to 11th time frame, and that will occur in the heart of the constellation of Leo. Leo is the "Lion of Judah" in Hebrew starlore. Saturn is the symbol of rest. Mars is the symbol of war. Israel is now in a six month truce with Hamas, and talking peace with Syria. "Peace and security" will be the mantra, and yet war may break out in an instance. Keep your eyes open, and maybe keep some cash around (hidden somewhere) just in case all of this is not a bunch of nonsense.
