There's a cemetery in East Liverpool, Ohio that is a 3 hour drive away. It's where both my parents's families have graves in. My Dad has a baby brother who died when he was 3 or 4 weeks old buried there. My grandparents, my graeat grandparents, and their parents and their brothers & sisters are buried there. It started as a public cemetery for people who couldn't afford the cost of buriels so this communal cemetery belonged to the whole community. Whoever had people buried there would work to take care of it and help others with the same task. The only surviving member of the family who owned this place for over 200 years is her late 80's. She cannot take care of it anymore. Now it has fallen into the hands of the local alcholioc and thief, who has a lengthly crimminal record. Legally, the last burial was in 1990. But this man not only refused to let any maintance be done so that the grass is so tall you can't even see the tallest headstones from the street but he illegally buried many more people and that cementery was completly full in 1990! When one of the people who had relatives there showed up to mow the graves, he attacked him. All of us who had family buried complained to the state board. The State suspects that this guy is using State funds for the upkeep for the cementery and spending it on himself (mainly at the local bars ) Since the State has to disclose who complained, he was able to get everyone's personal info, he called my mother and said she knew where she lived and he'll come over to 'mess her up'. The state has told this guy he's probably going to jail for a long time, up to 10 years, if he's committed all these crimes. Please pray that the cementery goes into good ownership, for my Mom's safety, for the safety of all involved, for the families that have been deeply grieved by this, and pray the cementery gets back to being a beautiful restful place it was meant to be.

Only God "owns" the places where our ancestors rest until that Day, which is soon. Many bullies have come in greed and hatred, thinking that they can steal what belongs to the Lord Only. Bullies do not impress me much anymore, as I have seen them ALL fall, or in rare occasions repent on their knees. Yes I have brought many of them down myself, while God showered me in braveness. Our God is Merciful, but beware when God is angered! When He sends Angels, a fierce cleansing fire proceeds from their eyes.

To the bully:
I tell you this day, with my hand raised up to the Lord, that God is about to strike your iniquities, which are the sins against His Commandments.
Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt honor thy father and thy mother, Thou shalt not use the Name of the Lord in vain...
This last warning you better heed, or else you better run for your miserable life, as the Venging Angel of the Lord comes and rips off the roof of thy house and deals with you straight way. How do you want to face your Maker, bully? Boasting and bullying till God spits you out or repenting on your knees?
Choose now, for there will be no choice later.

To the harassed community:
Gather together, and write the Ten Commandments on a piece of carton or paper, pray over it and Bless it in Gods Holy Name. Then, with at least 10 gathered, only WALK through the burial grounds and hang the paper on one of the graves, then leave while praying, and make a Cross with your hands to Bless the grounds. Then leave in peace.

God will hear. God will act.

Dear God, where is Your justice on this earth, if not in the hearts of Your Children? You are the One who Promised us that the enemy would be crushed under Your Feet. We now have come before you on behalf of our brothers and sisters who need Your Promise right now. We call upon YOU, Oh AllMighty and Merciful God! Show forth now your Might to those who oppose Thy Will, show forth Thy Glory upon those who are wicked and prey upon the meek, in the Holy Name of Jesus Our Lord! Amen.

Dear Editor:

This writing concerns the deplorable conditions at Spring Grove Cemetery located in the Pleasant Heights area of East Liverpool. Those of us who have love ones buried there are appalled at the lack of care given to this facility.

Memorial Day was only six days from this writing and most of the grass is over a foot high. The few area’s where an effort was made to cut the grass has grass lying on the ground and no effort made to trim around each head stone. The entire facility is without water.

As I walked through the cemetery looking for water, I noticed graves dating back to the pre Civil War era. I’m sure there are graves that probably predate this time period also. Residents and families paid with their hard-earned dollars to have loved ones buried here. I’m sure they didn’t expect to see the conditions that exist today.

If city residents are required to maintain there own lawns, why isn’t the management of Spring Grove Cemetery required to do the same. I have a father, sister, grandparents, aunts, and uncles buried there and it’s about time all families with loved ones buried there get some answers concerning the total lack of attention paid to the upkeep of the facility.

I don’t know who is responsible for the mess that exists here, but I will make it a priority to find out and attempt to get some resolution to these issues as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your prayers, please keep praying. There will be a town meeting on this matter ( I think its this Saturday or next) where we will be there and so will the man who threatens people. Thankfully, the chief of police may be there as well the the mayor. Both have family buried there. The chief of pollice is already familar with the man that is neglecting the cementery.

Dennis, the man who threatened my MOM's life and the man who claims ownership of the cementery illegally, showed up at the meeting drunk and with a knife. He started to read Mom's complaint about the conditions of the cementery, screaming lies about her and blamed the whole mismanagement of the cementery on her. He was also drunk. He didn't know she was standing right there. She confronted him and got right in his face and I had to get between the two ready to act if he pulled the knife on her. We learned he got the cementery illegally. He continues to bury people illegally, digging up other graves with people already in them in the process! Charges people $1500 to bury people and then turn around and says there's no money in the funds!! It's only $500 to open and close a grave. So where did the $1500 for at least one illegal burials go to? He didn't have any answers. He had some relative or 2 there defending his thefts and his neglect of the cementery! A cementery license is only $25...why has it not be paid for? Why are the bills are not paid for out of the money already there? People were all yelling and irrate. Ultimately, we decided as a group we have to get an attorney. The Veterans Adminstrations yelled at him because he could even locate the grave stones of veterans in all that tall grass! Piles of dirt set aside to fill in graves that have sunken in is not used. There was so much trash in this cementery that just taking two steps into it and sticky garbage is stuck to your feet! That very day he was burying someone there illegally, and dug up one our relatives up and he was just going to toss them in together, if we weren't there, a new grave in a different location wouldn't have been dug! Please continue to pray about this. People were crying when they saw the condition of their loved ones graves.

Here's a photo: Dennis is the one nearly sitting on the ground in a yellow shirt, with the knife in its sheath on his pants, the people next to him are his 'buddies' there to defend his againist the rest of us....I can't believe this drunken thief has defenders, but if he is sharing the cementery profit with his buddies, that would explain it, Dennis has a long crimminal record of theft and fraud. I am ashamed to show photos of the cementry, it is too upsetting given that there are veterans buried there who fought Napoloen in Europe not to mention 150 years of my relatives of who included war heros, women, children and babies:


OH AND BY THE WAY, SINCE HE OBIVOUSLY COULDN'T BLAME MY MOTHER, HE TRIED BLAMING THE ORGINAL OWNER, WHO WAS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP ANY TIME OF DAY, KEPT THE CEMENTERY LOOKING BEAUTIFUL FOR OVER 60 YEARS...SHE IS DECEASED...oh slandering the good woman and good family that....I'm just too upset to finish the sentance!

Did you not say that the Mayor and Police Chief were also to come to the meeting? What happened?

This is what we deal with on the reservation all the time it is so frustrating because of the fear of the thugs people dont want to confront issues of right and wrong. Your mother is a brave soul and I applaud her!! There is a saying I like and it is 'evil thrives when good people sit and do nothing.' Battling evil is a long hard process especially when that evil has gotten a hold. But God says in his word that the wicked will have their day. Sometimes I wish through that it happens immediately but I also know Gods timing is always best! Hang in there and I will also lift this up in prayer.

The Mayor was a no show, there were 2 police officers there. One of them talked to Dennis but, they didn't do anything about his behavior. Thanks to all of you for the prayers...please continute to pray. Another meeting is going to take place this time to make sure the mayor is there.

So let me get this straight:

You guys are so damned if this is true. I will witness.

Mom attended another meeting regarding the cementery. The man that represents the state license board for cementeries was there. Care taking was designated to others, and the funeral home was told not to pay Dennis (the drunk that threatened my Mom) for any graves, and no opening and closing fees. Dennis got upet and starting yelling that he's the superintendent, but the chief of police and the rest of the people there including a city official put him in his place, telling him he has never been in charge of anything, the only thing he has are all the docuements. The police chief made it clear in no uncertain terms to Dennis no part of that documentation is to be damaged or lost or have anything happen to it, implying if anything did, there would be serious consequences for him. Dennis of course, continuing to complain that there are no more funds, yet isn't it not a concidence after charging someone $1500 he went out and bought a new car, even though he doesn't hold down any job? Probably NOT! There are still a lot to do yet and the officals are now involved. No doubt another meeting will be set and all of us are to be kept informed.

I agree with you hun. this is only our temporary home and the whole earth is doomed as long as there is evil....our real homeland is in heaven and i so cant wait to get there...i long to be with my Lord and saviour
