If the United States is not specifically referred to in Bible prophecy as some suggest (not necessarily me), what are the options for its future? The present superpower status of the United States could certainly fade quite fast under the right circumstances, since it has been little more than a century that America has been a powerful presence on the world stage. However, if you believe, as most pre-tribbers do, that the signs are ripe for the soon return of Jesus, then the question of America's fate in the near future is a relevant one. Choose one of the poll options or offer your 2 cents if you have other ideas.
God's Blessings!!

Hi EOTWAWKI1961 / Rob,
I hope you don't mind 5 cents:
The U.S. is the predominant nation in the 11th chapter of Daniel. It is refered to as the "king of the south"*, as Russia is the "king of the north", and the two geographies are with respect with each other. (The verse 9, Cuban Missile Crisis is an interesting citation.)
* Please note that verse 5 starts out with the U.K. as that entity, but the U.S. ends up with that mantle, just as the post WWII circumstances played out.
Secondly, the 7th chapter Lion/Eagle parallels this same U.K./U.S. role, and the Bear is Russia. The three-ribs represent the three illegal conquests since WWII, and are: Hungary, 1956; Berlin Wall, 1961; and Czechoslovakia, 1968. -- Please note that these are the only instances were the Russians violated international sovereignty.
Thirdly, this U.S. is present in the three-superpower alignment (Rev. 13), and as one of the 10 toes, -- U.N. Permanent Membership.
And finally, this major player is cited in the 19th book of the bible (prophetic for the Jews for the 1900s), in the 45th chapter (i.e., 19-45 = 1945). In this, please observe the "let your right hand teach you dread deeds". This was fulfilled in the "Manhattan Project" wherein the greatest scientists were gathered to harness the destructive power of the atom. The "deeds", plural, were Little Boy - Hiroshima, 8/3/45; and Fat Man - Nagasaki, 8/9/45.
So, Rob, did you want to add one more selection to your poll, so I can vote?

With Best Regards,
DaDad
PS Orates, you and I both know that you can't get from 11:1 your "fulfillments", and thus none are correctly assigned. But if one did progress through the full sequence, one would end up as I have attempted to depict.
