Funny how everyone missed the joke...a plane has crashed and it looks like it must have skidded through a barrier onto a local gas bar from the end of the runway and the folks involved are commenting on the gas price instead of the plane crash...Ha! But meanwhile back at the ranch I pay now $1.29 a litre...so that is 5.86 cents a gallon (imperial)

4.54 liters equals 1.199341117705994 us gallons...so 1.29 x that equals $5.40 a us gallon I would be paying so you guys are still behind the canuck prices and are greatly favoured...Ha!

Carry your bag sir? Naw, she'll walk....You won't have to play second fiddle to an old guitar...Don't "fret" (get the pun?) They are coming up with a new deal also on the plus side...if six of us fly together we get free egg rolls...on Air China at least...

It is going to cost 5 dollars more for a window seat I am told....and make that ten if the window has glass in it...

Yes, being the only one who sees a thing would get you accused of being a false prophet or a false teacher...

Australia petrol is already at $1.50 litre.
Chances of it reaching $2? Highly likely, I mean it aint getting cheaper.
I expect it at $4 litre by the end of the year.

Canada has a forecast of $2.20 a litre in months ahead...that would be 9.98 an imperial gallon...my Avalanche would not be running hot...it might be used for a Sunday drive if I felt adventurous...just kidding...I refuse to go to the spirit of poverty when there is a God..that I give to and who promises to keep me above the world's level of instrumentality...This is a test...it comes in regular, medium and high grade...

There was a different thread going on this forum asking if anybody had heard or tried using acetone mixed into thier gasoline. I had been asked that question a year or so back and got sidetracked from investigating it further until that thread reminded me of it again.

First I went to my mechanic who told me he wasn't sure if it would help my mileage but that it would definately NOT cause any adverse affects to my truck.

My mileage was 15 in the city 21 on the highway. That was until I started using super unleaded and 1 1/2 ounces of acetone per tank full. My mileage has now gone up to 23 mpg in the city but I haven't done any highway driving to figure that one out yet.

It costs a little more up front to fill the tank but it sure is lasting longer maker it cheaper in the end.

Sounds like you are still developing in your walk...I know what gas tastes like too...I got fired for syponing gas a few years before I got saved...I started giving to God and since then he has allowed me to afford gas. I am feeling that burden of test again because of prices but you know in the past decade I have experienced pretty much a doubling up of what it costs to live locally and I do live in an economical little place which is squatted in the midst of a city which is itself squatted in the midst of an area that has international acclaim for oil based prosperity...nor do we normally suffer the outrage of those things that plague the world...with one exception....in the early nineties we had a huge tornado that devastated a part of the city and killed a few people...we have no real floods or fires or mudslides or volcanoes or tsunamis or hurricanes or infestatiions of bugs or diseases etc...but I have to struggle to float on the surface of a deep pool of debt. God is good to me and you. But we have to trust and let Him...I say drop the hose if you are carying it...
