What do you all think about some folks belonging to Jehovah Witness, Mormon, Christian Science, etc. ... are they all eternally damnes, or will some be saved?

Personally, I think there are *some* genuine believers in these false churches... and they will be saved despite their church affiliation (I suppose you could say the contray to some folks in protestant or evangelical churches)...

So what say ye on this topic?

I think it is very dangerous to judge another mans soul. I think we should look at what the teaching are and stay clear of things that lead us away from Jesus, but never should we even attempt to judge another persons salvation. The Bible is very stern about this.

Caneman,

I agree with Kansas Dad concerning this topic. It is very dangerous ground to tread on, when trying to determine the salvation of another individual. As a human being I have not been given that authority by God. One thing is for sure: When we get to Heaven there will be a huge party and those we do not think will be inside of Heaven will be invited to this party and we shall all be celebrating together.

Gods Blessings,

Al

Al, I agree with you and that is really the purpose of this thread... we seem to act so smug and think that if anyone is a member of these churches they are going to hell... but I have met some of them that love people more authentically than most believers I know... I do not know if they worhsip Jesus as savior, God, and Lord, but their actions are of authentic love.

I think there are people that do worship Jesus as savior, they just don't know it. Jesus is not defined by a name. Unfortunately they are often surrounded by deception that often leads them away.

How many people did Jesus order to become a Jehovah Witness, Mormon, or Christian Science ? etc

Same number He ordered to become Methodist, Baptist or Roman Catholic. etc

Good, decent God fearing Jews went to synagoge.

After Jesus's resurection, all the saved were separated from the synagoges.

"One shepherd, one flock" John 10:16 "what, is Christ divided" ? 1Cor 1

I'm confident some people in all branches of organized religion will be saved and will "come out of her" before it is over.

When Christ said, Other sheep have I, not of this fold, He may have included many we might exclude.
He also said, "I am the way, the truth and the life..."
Millions have lived and died without hearing the name ("none other name under heaven whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12), but millions have lived for right and truth ("I am...the truth") as they knew it.
I think there will be many saved that we might be surprised at, and some we think look pious to whom He will say, "I never knew you" (the Greek word is ginosko, the word used for Joseph knowing Mary after the child was born--an intimate knowledge.) I think we need a deeper knowledge of Him as revealed in Scripture because He said they testify of Him, and the only Scripture He could be referring to was the Old Testament! Many of us could be better students. Let me suggest the only book He endorsed when asked about the end of the world, Daniel (Matt 24:3,15)

Daniel was given to the Jews.

Daniel was the supreme end time document at the time Jesus walked in the flesh.

The Jewish national world ended. The Jewish nation had an "end of the world" experience.

Jewish nation dispersed for nearly 2000 years.

The Revelation, which didn't exist when Jesus walked in the flesh,

is given to "servants of Jesus".

What Christian does not aspires to be a "servant of Jesus" ?

The Revelation is now the supreme end time document on this earth

and has been from the time it was given by the Father to Jesus to His servants.

Trying to correlate Daniel and Revelation causes more confusion and error than it helps.
