Al Gore would be proud. And most likely, knows something about this. If not he's not the 'Greenie' we all thought our Nobel prize winner claims to be!

The need for more energy is always present. Growing economies and populations need more energy to do the things they do. Petroleum, coal, nuclear and hydro-generated forms are the most popular. However, this is a new initiative. It is a plan from the boys (and girls) at the Club of Rome, of which the proud Prince of Jordan is honorary 'President for life'.

On November 27, 2007, Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordon, who I think is about to burst upon the world scene in a big way, submitted a plan to the EU parliment. There is a project, though, that the TREC people want to accomplish in the Gaza strip! Interesting! Here is an excerpt from the white paper on that:

1. Gaza Solar Power and Water Project (PDF): To build CSP plants for the combined generation of electricity (1 GW in total) and desalination of sea water. These plants, part of a potential international recovery programme for Gaza, could be located in the Egyptian Sinai coastal region. With the provision of appropriate water and power lines into the Gaza strip, these facilities could provide supplies for 2-3 Million people. This project could mark a turning point in the currently disastrous social and economic development of Gaza, in the regional conflicts for water and in the stalled peace process between Israel and Palestine. The total investment required would be about 5 billion Euros.

So how about that? Peace and security through water and power?

Here is an article that tells you all about it:

Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan Presents White Paper to European Parliament
Submitted by Newswire on 27 November 2007 - 9:30am.

HAMBURG, Germany, November 27 /PRNewswire/ --

- German Association CLUB OF ROME: Clean Power From Deserts for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa

HAMBURG, Germany, November 27 /PRNewswire/ --

Former President of The Club of Rome, His Royal Highness Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan, will present the White Paper "Clean Power from Deserts - The DESERTEC Concept for Energy, Water and Climate Security" to members of the European Parliament and hand it over to its President, Prof. Pottering, in Brussels on November 28.

The paper describes the vast potentials of deserts to supply secure, clean and cheap power to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (EU-MENA). The authors of the White Paper are proposing a solar co-operation between the technology belt and the sun-belt, between Europe and the MENA region, to fight climate change "in a way that is economically, technically and politically feasible".

"We are in the middle of a defence situation against energy shortage, water scarcity and climate change! We need a defence and recovery strategy, defence and recovery measures, and a defence and recovery budget!", says Dr. Gerhard Knies, coordinator of the international Trans-Mediterranean Renewable Energy Cooperation (TREC) network which developed the DESERTEC Concept in collaboration with scientists at the German Aerospace Center.

IPB Image

To resolve these problems The Club of Rome presents an international action plan. It foresees seven immediate measures to be implemented within seven years. The Club of Rome demands a budget 10 billion Euro for an Apollo-Program like effort to implement the DESERTEC Concept.

Key technologies in the DESERTEC Concept are concentrating solar thermal power plants with solar heat storage for day/night operation and low-loss high voltage direct current transmission lines to bring clean power to Europe from the deserts of MENA.

The presentation in the European Parliament is staged by a cross-party group of four Members of the European Parliament - Matthias Groote, Rebecca Harms, Vittorio Prodi and Anders Wijkman - and by the Club of Rome initiative TREC.

As of November 29th the White Paper and the Action Plan will be available as a PDF file at: http://www.DESERTEC.org

Concentrating Solar Thermal Power (CSP) plants use mirrors to concentrate sunlight and create heat which is used to raise steam to drive steam turbines and electricity generators. Excess heat from additional collectors can be stored in tanks of molten salt and used to power steam turbines during the night or when there is a peak in demand.

You can find the web site for the project at http://www.desertec.org/. Notice at the top of the page that it says it is an initiative from the Club of Rome. I will say it now that Prince Talal will be the next Nobel recipient when this thing gets off the ground. Al Gore's reciept of the prize paved the way, because the TREC project uses solar, geo-thermal, hydro and biomass energy conversion to generate power, and then transmit it via high voltage direct current transmission lines.

This is all about Global Warming, people. The new religion, the new future for mankind. This project seeks to build a 'community' that will jump start the 'de-carbonisation' of the world. This is thought to help control the climate change the earth is going through. Never mind the fact that creation is having 'labor pains' as Paul wrote in Romans 8:

Ro 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Ro 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Ro 8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
Ro 8:21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Ro 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

Please read about this initiative from the folllowing link: http://www.desertec.org/downloads/articles...white_paper.pdf

It describes the immediacy of the project, and why 10 Billion euros are needed right now.

Here is a link to the action plan, and the description of the Seven year plan:
http://www.desertec.org/downloads/articles...llo_program.pdf

Here is a quote towards the end of the white paper:

Humankind has mastered to reach the
Moon. Now it has everything for a programme
to master the energy and climate
crises on Earth. – Let’s do it!

And don't overlook the seven step plan that will take seven years, up and running by 2015 in Jordan and the European states.!

Tower of Babel all over again it seems.....

Blessings of peace and comofrt from JESUS CHRIST, the KING OF GLORY!

Wow Todd... this is really interesting. I am not sure if you remember but back in April of 2006 I started a thread on this guy. I had watched a DVD and was amazed at the decoration this man held.

What a project that this would be! The scope of that plan is truly enormous! What I find interesting... is that the very day that the Peace Conference was taking place in Annapolis.... was the day that he submitted this plan to the EU!

This is the very man that to my knowledge authored the Oslo agreement! Here is the link to the thread that I started about 9 months ago.... attached is my 1st post from that Link.

I just watch a dvd from the International Propecy Conference where Joe Van Koevering claims he knows a likely candiate. His prophecy speech was entirely about:

Prince El Hassan Bin Talal

He is certainly a highly decorated man. He will blow your mind concerning the clubs he is a member of. Not to mentions his degree's and honorary degree's.
He also is very concerned with the peace of all Religions. He also has connections, with the Jews, Christians, and he himself is a Muslim.

Here is his offical website: You might look it over, with a main focus on his
biography:

http://www.elhassan.org/reg/personal/ebio3.html

Some of the things that Joe Vankoering speaks about is that he is the 42nd generation from Mohammad. He is from the Hashemite Family which is a descendant of Ishmael.

His goal is peace which ironically he was the author of the Oslo Agreement! Joe brings up the sripture in Daniel 9:27 about confirming the covernant for one week. He brings up the fact that the Hebrew for confirm is to streghthen. He suggest that because he is the author of the Oslo peace accord he will just streghthen a covenant that is already in place. Another one of his main goals is Bringing the Christians Muslims & Jews together

He also brings up the fact that the Muslims are looking for their Mahdi. (their Savior)

Oddly Prince El Hassan Bin Talal fits all 5 of these distinctive signs:

1. He must be from the Family of Mohammad through the daughter Fatima
2. He must have the pledge and support of Iraqi people
3. He will rule the Arabs for 7years
4. Will have a Broad Forehead and a pointed nose
5. He will spread justice and equity on the earth

Another point he brings up is Daniel 11:41 (Midpoint Tribulation) that "he shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

He claims that since King Abdullah of Jordan is Prince Hassan's nephew and that Jordan is a Hashemite Kingdom they will escape any harm. Look at Isaiah 14:22
speak of God rising up and cutting off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord. Ironically King Abdullah is Prince Hassan's nephew. Jack says that Hassan is possibly looking to be King of Iraq 1st.

There were so many other connections. I cannot remember them all. One interesting piece of info was that he is a desendant of both the Shiah and Sunnies. He is also working behind the scenes in Iraq. Another descendant was the King of Iraq, I cannot remember his name but he was overthrown by Saddam.

So his family has connections to the thrown in Jordan and Iraq. On his brothers death bed, Hussien King of Jordan took the crown and gave to his son Abdullah instead of Prince Hassan. In a letter his brother, King of Jordan said that You are much more suited for the world not Jordan.

One final piece of info as a Hashemite descendant (Jordan) has claims to all of the holy Muslim sites. (Including quardian of the Temple Mount)

Here is speach given by Stephen Rockefeller about The Crown Prince El Hassan:

HeA MUSLIM CENTRIST PLATFORM FOR DEMOCRACY
IN THE ARAB WORLD
Remarks by Steven C. Rockefeller, Chair of The Rockefeller Brothers Fund

January 28, 2004 at the New School University in New York

Your Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President Bob Kerrey, Professor Mustapha Tlili, Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good evening. First of all, I would like to express my profound gratitude to Prince El Hassan for accepting the invitation to share with us his courageous vision of "A Muslim Centrist Platform for Democracy in the Arab World." Prince El Hassan's branch of the Hashemite family is directly descended from the prophet Muhammed, and he occupies a unique place as a spiritual, social, and political leader in the 42nd generation. Your Royal Highness, your participation in this evening's dialogue provides all of us with a rare opportunity to deepen our understanding of the great spiritual tradition of Islam, the contemporary situation in the Arab world, and promising paths to democratic social change, human development, and peace in the Middle East and worldwide.

Prince El Hassan's address has been made possible by a special initiative of the World Policy Institute at the New School University involving dialogues among representatives from the Islamic world, the U.S., and the West. I commend Professor Mustapha Tlili for his leadership in founding and directing these dialogues which began with a very productive meeting in Granada, Spain in 2002. I would also like to thank President Kerrey for the guidance and support he has provided this initiative.

The RBF became a partner in support of Professor Tlili's dialogues project as a result of the Fund's search for ways to respond meaningfully to the challenges that emerged from the events of 9/11. The RBF response to 9/11 has involved support for relief programs and recovery projects in New York City and also several strategic initiatives that have now been integrated into the Fund's new Peace and Security program. For example, the Fund is actively promoting a broad public debate on the U.S. role in the world and on the values and principles that should guide it, and the RBF is also supporting efforts to contribute to the improvement of communication and understanding between Muslim and Western societies.

The Carnegie Corporation and the MacArthur Foundation have joined with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in supporting Professor Tlili's dialogues. If promising initiatives designed to promote mutual understanding are to be sustained and fully successful, they must be supported by institutions and governments in the Muslim world as well as the West. All of us have both an opportunity and a responsibility to build strong partnerships in this undertaking.

As the world enters a [global] phase in the development of civilization under the impact of technological and economic forces, the peoples and nations of the world have a choice. Under the influence of ancient prejudice, ignorance and narrow self-interest, we can engage in a self-destructive clash of cultures and religions, or recognizing that we share a common humanity and planetary home, we can cooperate and support each other in building an equitable, sustainable, and peaceful global society that respects cultural diversity and accepts pluralism. There is no greater social and spiritual challenge today than the pursuit of the latter goal in our local communities and globally. Tonight's dialogue on the future of the Arab world and on building better relations between the U.S. and the Islamic world is of central importance to this undertaking.

I found it very interesting. There have been many suspected candidates for this position. Only time will tell. When the Lord is ready for the revealing, we will know for sure. In the mean time we just need to keep our eyes opened and on the Lord.

Your Friend In Christ,
Valeire

HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE EL HASSAN BIN TALAL

His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal was born in Amman, on 20th March 1947, to a branch of the Hashemite family directly descended from the Prophet Muhammad, in the forty-second generation of descendants. In November 2006, the Berlin Committee for UNESCO nominated Prince Hassan as the 2006 laureate for the Berlin Peace Clock Award, in recognition of HRH’s exemplary contribution to overcoming human divides, on the basis of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Decorated by over twenty nations, His Royal Highness is the holder of the Order of Al Hussein bin Ali, Jordan’s highest decoration, which HRH was awarded in March, 1987, by His late Majesty King Hussein. HRH also held the rank of Honorary General in the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Prince Hassan has initiated, founded and is actively involved in a number of Jordanian and international institutes and committees. In Jordan, HRH established:

· The Royal Scientific Society, in 1970;

· The Arab Thought Forum, in 1981;

· The Higher Council for Science and Technology, in 1987;

· The Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, in 1994.

Prince Hassan chaired the committees overseeing the first development plan (1973-1975) and the three subsequent development plans (1976–1980, 1981–1985 and 1986–1990). HRH also established the annual Bilad Al-Sham Conference, in 1978, the Al al-Bait Foundation, in 1980, the Islamic Scientific Academy, the triannual conferences on the History and Archaeology of Jordan, the Hashemite Aid and Relief Agency, the Centre for Educational Development, the Institute for Diplomacy and the Al al-Bait University in Mafraq.

Having always been interested in young people, and believing in the importance of their community, His Royal Highness founded the Forum Humanum, in 1982 (renamed the Arab Youth Forum, in 1988); the Crown Prince Award, in 1984 (renamed the El Hassan Youth Award, in 1999), and its affiliate programme, the Sabilat El Hassan, in 1988.

On the international stage, many of Prince Hassan’s ideas and initiatives have been catalytic to international decisions and resolutions. Addressing the 36th Session of the United Nations in 1981, His Royal Highness proposed the establishment of the New International Humanitarian Order, which led to a request by the Secretary General to found and co-chair the Independent Commission on International Humanitarian Issues (ICIHI). The final report of the Commission was adopted as a resolution at the 42nd General Assembly of the United Nations. In July 2002, Prince Hassan founded the International Cultures Foundation with Professor Ihsan Doğramaci, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bilkent University in Ankara. The Parliament of Cultures was then formed in 2004, to fulfil this agenda of promoting understanding among different cultures and enhancing dialogue between their thinkers and intellectuals. In July 2003, HRH launched Partners in Humanity as a joint initiative with John Marks from Search for Common Ground (SFCG), which aims to improve understanding, build positive relationships and promote dialogue between the Muslim and western worlds.

As result of three ongoing consultations with the Orthodox Centre of the Ecumenical Patriarchate at Chambesy, Switzerland, the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious dialogue at the Vatican and the Independent Commission on Christian-Muslim-Jewish Relations through the aegis of the Deanery of Windsor, U.K., the Foundation for Interreligious and Intercultural Research and Dialogue (FIIRD) was established, with Prince Hassan as Co-founder and Board Member.

Hi Messiahiscoming!

No, I did not remember that link. I have a bad habit of not checking to see if a topic has already been started! Yikes! But anyway, I greatly appreciate the info you provided. I had seen a bit of a half hour show that featured VanKoevering, and I thought it was interesting that he claimed that bin Talal was in his estimation the ac. I had to check that out since he was so ardent about it, and since he was challenging anyone to dispute what he claimed were facts.

So I started digging around as well. I found the very same info he mentioned, including the little gem that I posted last night about the TREC project. I also came across a bible verse that I believe may be prophetic in near term events.
It is Isaiah 19:23-25:
<div style="border:1px dashed #000;background:#fff;">
Isa 19:23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.
Isa 19:24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria- a blessing in the midst of the land,
Isa 19:25 whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance."
</div>

The reason I mention this - and I may be completely wrong about it but it stood out to me and usually that means the LORD wants me to pay attention - is the use of the name Assyria. Here's a little history lesson about Assyria. In the early 1900's, Assyria was called Trans-Jordan. Its borders included modern day Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and the land of Palestine. The prince talked about how Transjordan had been split apart by the British in 1917(?), and seemed to lament that happening in a speech he gave in 2003. It seems to me that he may propose a solution for the Israeli-Paliestinian crises that includes allowing Jordan to extend it's borders up to the east bank of the Jordon River, effectively swallowing up the Palestinians who, in the words of his own father the deceased King Abdullah, belong in the kingdom of Jordan. Arafat tried to take over the Kingdom in the 1970's and was repelled by King Abdullah. Jordan pushed Arafat and his thugs into Lebanon, where they created havoc for twelve years. Now that Arafat is gone, I wonder if the doors will open again to the Palestinians? Stranger things have happened. So what if Prince Talal also managed to pull Iraq, Jordan and Syria back together again? Then there would be three countries again (as mentioned in the verses from Isaiah above) - "Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance." Right now, that does not exist. So I just wonder about this. It would also allow the army of the ac to come through Jordan without any trouble at all. A country the size of a ressurected Assyria could hold a pretty big army, and with the money and power and prestige the TREC project could generate, it would seem as though Transjordon/Assyria was just protecting itself from the other countries that were jealous, such as the Saudi's.

All conjecture on my part, and probably so full of holes you could drive a 200 million man army through it....

Blessings to you of love and peace from JESUS CHRIST!

Apparently, it pays to have "PRINCE" beside your name in order to be selected by a university. lol! Wonder if he recycled speeches after the first few degrees. I mean, after 10 wouldn't it get boring?

Wonder how many honorary docs someone like Billy Graham has gotten. Hmm.... let me see:

Well I find what your saying to be pretty fascinating myself. It makes a whole lot of sense to me. I just know one thing.... Like I said back last year he was someone we needed to watch. Julie.. you are right... I cannot imagine someone that honored!

One of the things that Scott and I talked about was the fact that He had ties to Christians.. Judism... and Muslims.

Hey where did you get that quote? Was it off his website? That was one of the things that really made me sit up and take notice of this guy. It was the way he spoke about uniting the religions. Also that he was a Muslim, yet he graduated from Christ School @ Oxford I believe. Then he also studied Judisim plus knew Hebrew. Was tight with the Catholic Church and the Popes. Man he has been around. He is fluent in 7 languages too.

Here is the quote that Scott had postedon the thread ....

Judaism is Law, Christianity is Love, and Islam is Justice.

I am so glad I stumbled apon this forum....concerning HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal. Joe VanKovering was pastor and my daughter is married into his family, I have been following the The International Bible Prophesy conference for 10 + years.

As just an interesting side note to the comments about the HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal topic..... and forgive me if you've mentioned it previously but when i was at his site i noted that:

*HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal was born (March 20, 1947) the same year Israel was being born
(November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly voted to partition Palestine into Jewish and Arab sectors)

* Pope Benedict XVI, a co-Founder and former Board of Trustees Member of Foundation for Interreligious and Intercultural Research and Dialogue -His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Founder & First Vice-Chairman)

and as mentioned before
*HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal- current member and former President of the Club of Rome.

Could we be seeing the alignment of the A/C and the Religious leader? Just a thought.
