Hi Brothers, and Sisters. I hope you are all well and God is still doing his good work in your lives.

This is the first time I have ever posted on the forums, so if theres any spilling mistakes and so on please don't mind as I'm not the best at Spelling. Anyways I'm going to tell you a short story of what god has done in my life and is doing now.

Well it all stared for me a cup el of years back. I was walking down Oliverplunkit street here in Cork city. Now the same day I was very down that day, I had a lot on my mind and i was not in the best of forum. Any ways to cut a long story short. I was going to met a guy who owed me some cash, and I was going to get my cash one way or the other. Anyways I had this plan in my head to buy lots of drugs and end my life. I had, had a nuff of it. Like I said I had a lot going in on in my life at the time.

As i was walking true the city, for some strange resign I stared to think of a friend of mine who was saved. remember how I felt. Anyways as I was thinking about my good friend, you never gess'd who walk around the conner My good friend time Murphy. So we had coffee, then he invited me to go to his house for Dinner then I met his former girlfriend now his wife. We started talking and caching up. Time flue and moved on and they ask me would I like to go to a meting. Me bing me the said you no where i stand with god, his never done anything for me. But fear dos to Tim he keep pushing me to go lol what a guy. So I gave in and in my own head I was like I'll go this once so he wont be annoying me about it lol.

So I go to the meting that night, and see and feel a love I had never ever felt in my life. I keep going Tuesdays first then the Sundays and on the first of Jan 2005 I gave my life to god. Then got baptized in the April of that year. And god has blessed me ever since. So if your praying for some one to be saved, Don't give up coss Time and some others Had been praying for me Ten years. Don't werry god has a time in place for everything. May god bless and keep you all in his name amen. Love in christ joe.

Joe...what a wonderful testimony!!!! The last part really blessed me..not to give up praying for someone to be saved...I've been praying for someone for a long time and my patience has been wavering. Thank you for reminding me to never give up and to have faith that the Lord will move in His time!!

Wow, that's awesome!

I got saved because I kept reading negative stuff over the Internet and I was despairing, thinking God no longer cared for us, that He would only care in biblical times, taht He was fed up with us, and would let us marinate in our own juice.

... Of course I was wrong! At that time, I felt so depressed I did not want to eat, to sleep, or to do anything, plus I felt the weight of my sins on my shoulders and it was unbearable. I cried out to God, not knowing what to do.

One day, I was flipping through channels and started to watch an evangelical channel I NEVER WATCHED, because everytime I came across them, I felt they were accusing me. So I told myself, maybe they are right, and I am wrong, maybe I should STOP and SEE what they have to say, and boy, it hit me! They were talking about me (in a way! ); and when the lady started saying the sinners' prayer, inviting others to join her, I said:"What the heck, I've tried everything, I've believed in many gods but none of them could help me; I've prayed to God and nothing has happened, maybe THIS TYPE of prayer will make a change... AND IT DID!

I couln'd believe it! It changed me IMMEDIATELY! I was thinking:"WOW! What a prayer!!!" It was as if scales were taken from me, and... scales to "weight my sins" as well and what was strange, I did not have to do anything for it! Just believe and pray!



I knew that was "IT"! I just knew! That was what I needed all my life. Now looking back, I wonder HOW I could live that long without God in my life. Now without Him, I would feel miserable! Thank God, it's never going to be like before! I don't want to go back!

He is the air I breathe, my life, my Light, my raison d'etre (in French; which means "my reason of being" (existing)

Joe, that is great, and many of us here just love to hear good new like this, and dont care about the spelling as much as you might fear we do. I have a hard time spelling but the more you post here, the better you will get. Really!
