There are many proofs that the Bible is True.
It was written by 40 different people, over the time-span of 1600 years, in 3 different languages, and in several nations.
Many of the authors of its 66 books never met each other—they lived in different centuries.
Yet, they told the same story, with no contradictions.
How?………they were controlled and inspired by the One Eternal God.
The other religions of the world have no Prophecies, no predictions of the future.
The Bible stands alone in the ability to predict the Future.
Muhammed and Joseph Smith were told of their false religions through an “angel of god” (it was a lying demon), …..BUT, the authors of the Bible heard from God Himself (no middle-man).
Hundreds of times , the Pentateuch declares that Moses heard from God “face to face”. …(Ex 33;11, Num 14;14, Dt 5;2-5, 34;10)
60 times, “the Word of the Lord” came to Ezekiel.
Job is the oldest book in the Bible. Yet, it contains the major Christian doctrines of redemption, resurrection, and the Second Coming of Christ!
Job 19;25-27
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Over the next 1600 years, the prophets added detail after detail to our Bible, without contradicting any other Scripture.
In many cases , the prophets contributed additional Scripture without having seen what had previously been written—and still without contradictions!
The Old Testament God is the Only Savior of the world (Isa 43;11, 45;22).
Isaiah told us:…………...The Redeemer-Savior-Messiah would be…a baby boy would be born, who is both the Son of God and God the Father (Isa 9;6).
Jesus told us: “I and My Father are One”. (Jn 10;30).
He “whose goings forth have been from of old, from Everlasting “ would be born in Bethlehem. (Mic 5;2).
He would ride into Jerusalem on the colt of an --- and be hailed as the Messiah (Zec 9;9) exactly 483 years (Dn 9;24-26) after the command had been given to restore Jerusalem from its destruction by Nebuchadnezzar.
That edict by world emperor Artaxerxes Longimanus was given on the first day of Nisan 445 BC (Neh 2;1-10).
The fulfillment of this prophecy had to occur on April 6, AD 32. That very day---now celebrated as Palm Sunday---Jesus rode into Jerusalem.
Jesus was enthusiastically received.
The Prophets foretold that He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zec 11;12,13), rejected by His own people, and crucified (Ps 22;14-16)……..That prophecy was given 500 years before crucifixcion was known.
There is only One Man (Jesus) who has fulfilled all these Prophecies, yet most Jews and most Gentiles reject Him.
How did the Apostles preach the Gospel?………They explained that the OT Messianic Prophecies were fulfilled in Christ Jesus our Lord---Jesus of Nazareth.
Act 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Act 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
When we see “the Lord of Glory” (1 Cor 2;8) , “we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3;2)
Praise the Lord Jesus!
