My family drove to a birthday party today. As we drove, my three year old, Noah, spoke up out of the blue and said, "Mommy, Jesus come get us!" And I said, "Yes, that's right!"

Then my six-year-old daughter said, "Mommy, I saw God."

I said, "When did you see Him, Zoe?"

She said, "Last night, in a dream."

At this point, you can imagine my surprise and excitement.

Zoe told us all about her dream. "I was walking in the woods. I was on the sidewalk. I looked up in front of me and there was a bright light. When I saw the light, I got down on my knees."

(My husband, who is not about the things of God, is listening in awe to his children. He is shifting in his seat, driving the car.)

Zoe finished, "Jesus spoke to me and said, "I will bless you if you don't give my Word away." After the Lord spoke to her, Zoe said that she got up from her knees and continued on the path. She said that she knew God was with her as she continued on.

Whew. When she finished telling me the dream, I wrote down the Lord's words- which are always rich in meaning. I then closed my eyes and said a prayer of thanksgiving. My children... my CHILDREN... are so full of love for God. I am so blessed- and can only thank King Jesus. It is not anything that I have done. It is ALL Him- I am so ill-equipped and that makes me all the more thankful. Through GRACE, they are learning to know Him and hear His voice.

As I continued to pray, I was honest and said, "Lord, I would love to see You that way!" He responded, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." My Zoe- her heart is pure before Him. She trusts Him and loves Him. May the Lord purify my heart- so that I too may see Him.

What a blessed evening.

Does anybody have a scripture to add based on the Lord's words?

OH- I forgot to mention one more thing. Zoe said, "Mommy, God is invisible."

Colossians 1:5 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation."

Wow. God is awesome.

Julie...I remember being blessed the same as you through my little ones and being humbled and watching my husband squirm and make excuses for their "nonsense"... Praise the Lord for ears to hear and eyes to see the great and might things he does!

Thank you for sharing this Julie. Her dream truly blessed me! Just last night my 7 year old said..'mommy, I wonder what Jesus looks like..I'm going to pray I see Him in my dreams tonight.' Then he rolled over, said his prayer gave me the biggest hug and said...'I love you mommy..God Bless You & sweet dreams.' Oh my heart! It is amazing how the Lord has opened the little ones heart to His glory! Just observing them teaches me so much about the kingdom of Heaven.

Lisa, that is so awesome- faith like a child.

About a month ago, I was talking with Zoe before bed. She was asking questions about Jesus- and I told her that God will sometimes speak to her in her dreams. Her eyes got wide with wonder.

I'm wondering if she might have said a prayer to see the Lord that night like your son. Or, maybe because I am her spiritual authority, I spoke it (I remember that I said that God WILL speak, not God might speak). Either way, her dream was.... WOW.

Oh Julie this is so awesome.... thank you for sharing it with us! Squirming a little huh? I am praying for that guy! The Lord used my kiddo's to draw me to Him... I am praying that He does the same here.
