"And (as for) those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you have a doubt, their prescribed time shall be three months, and of those too who have not had their courses; and (as for) the pregnant women, their prescribed time is that they lay down their burden; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah He will make easy for him his affair." ~Shakir translation QURAN 65:4

"As for your women who have lost hope of menstruation, and in case you have a doubt, the prescribed period (of waiting) for them is three months, as also for those who have not menstruated yet. And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens) and whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him."~Noble QURAN 65:4

Yes, but you see, the boy is usualy at the same age as the girl when the contract of marriage is signed, so I don´t really see the problem? And they don´t have sexual intercouse before they have had the wedding seremony with both families present, two eight year olds who have made a marriage contract will have to wait untill they are old enough to live together as one.

And if the man should be old, he´ll wait untill the girl is a woman, and the Girl stays with her mother untill the wedding seremony, when they are official man and wife - but the contract can be signed years ahead of the seremony.
