Think about what you are trying to do. All the words of reproof toward your idea that I could make are probably ineffective next to this: The Bible tells us to do all for the glory of God. When you try to do the things you're talking about, are you really doing it for the glory of God or for your own glory? No need to answer; just think about it honestly.
Please consider this similarity:
A child with two legs learn to walk, then learn to run
We learn math, we learn physics in school etc
All we do here are to maximize our brain, our leg which at then can be used for God's glory and also other goals.
then why we not maximize our psycho power ?
How to use it, is up to us, we can use it for God's glory or other things
Why we only develop our skill in school and not beyond ?

The most important here is how we use our skills, which God gives us freedom to choose, but learning in my opinion somehow is necessary, otherwise we do not need go to school.
