My oldest brother sent this to me. Bob is my brother in law, as is Phil. Ann is my sister and Jackie is her dughter.

"I just read your email. I must say I was surprised to learn that Bob has prostate cancer. Our prayers are with you and Bob.

Others who need prayer are:

Phil: He is not doing well right now.
Ann: She has been turned down by the judge for SSDI. In a nutshell the judge replied to her request saying that she and Phil are faking they're medical conditions. Ann's back is totally screwed up and she is in constant pain.
Jackie: She has a severe staff infection with boils popping up all over her body. She is taking two antibiotics. This is the strand that has killled 17 people to date.
Linda's friend, Sarah Pellerin, in Texas: She is in ICU in a coma. Two blood vessels burst in her brain. Surgery was performed and stints installed. Her chances of survival are 50-50. Sarah is Linda's life time best friend.
Bo: He is trying to straighten his life out. He entered a drug rehab program. It is a 12 month program, church supported. They are teaching him about Jesus, people skills, got him a job and are helping him to earn his GED. He is doing well. He accepted Jesus and was babtized last week. He is required to attend 5 church services a week and a Bible study every day. After the first month he will be eligible for an 8 hour pass to come home and visit. He lives in a house that has been converted to a dorm. There are no physical restraints, such as bars or lock down. He is on the honor system meaning it is completely up to him whether he will complete the program. So far so good.

Praying for this family and friends. A lot going on there.

For sure we are in a time of real darkness and trouble. Trouble just keeps pressing in on every side and it rains on the ungodly as well as those that walk in Christ's name.

But, with all this said, as believers we can't lose heart and we really so very desperately need to praise Him in these storms and know that Jesus is truly in command, just as it is written, "Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh"

Like Job said, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him"

I know that it isn't always easy to blindly trust amid pain and loss and sickness and death, but, He is God
and there is none beside Him.

I will stop here after Ive written and pray for this whole family. I pray that God would bring blessings to this family and cause all of them to put their trust in Him.
