We're kind of at a beach - and the kids are in the water - but they're like separate pools and not down near the waters edge. There are rocks - but they're more like rounded boulders and not many of them. And there are these twins - a boy and a girl - that I just had to help. They were - I believe' poor wee wretches'. Not loved - uncared for...but they loved each other. they may have been about 2 ish - I'm not sure - but one thing - they trusted ME. They were comfortable with me and came to me easily - they were in one pool together. I said we had to get the kids inside - this is including my children - because it was getting cold or something- the sky was all dark and gloomy and the waves on the beach were getting choppier.
Next thing I know - I'm walking in a bar - then I'm out of it - really odd. I was on the waterfront of my home town here. One of the buildings was where another is - and placed to right angles of it's position in reality. I have to try and paint a picture here because it's strange. We were having a 'tall ships festival' type thing. There were sailing ships everywhere. But not just any sailing ships - I dont' think. what I do recall is coming out of the bar - which was kind of laid out on the inside like the deck of a ship. As you come out of the building - you look up - the first floor looks normal as does the third floor- the second floor is all the back ends - the sterns - of galleons - there were about 4 or 5 of them. They were laid across so that the ships were all side by side....we could only see their sterns. I say we - because somewhere - my husband came into it. the one that was the cleanest and the brightest was a green - a beautiful forest(?) green - dark green - with gold trim and the name on the stern of the ship was Foxglove....or possibly Foxspur.....Fox is correct - but there was something odd about the name that makes me think it wasn't foxglove but something similar....Foxspur seems right. Then for some reason - I'm standing on the tallest...spar...?? of the ship - the highest cross arm or yard arm or whatever it's called and I can see everything below - except there's nothign really there that's easy to recall - I don't know what I saw if anything at all.
Then I'm down again - and hubby's saying - come on - oh - there's a glass buoy - you were after one of those. Behind a metal garbage bin is a large glass buoy - there's a crack in it - which is why it was discarded one presumes. It's kind of moving slightly with breeze?? or from the trammeling of all the footsteps on the docks - it was laying on concrete - and you could hear it move - that scratchy noise glass makes on concrete.
So I pick it up and here's me rounding the corner of the building trying to get a grip on this glass buoy - which isn't quite round but more kind of tubular - I've seen the inflatable ones like it- and how I wish I could draw this! - trying to keep up with hubby who has extremely long legs. THEN - I'm inside another building - which is like a great major port but very clean. There's a friend I've not spoken to in months sitting merrily on a cupboard with a small suit case at her feet - her name's Jo - and shee's singing away - don't know what - she's waiting for someone else. I ask her if she's seen my hubby - she said he went to his office - she saw him there and smoke was pouring out of the door - and she says 'he must be smoking anthrops! Which she says really loudly and laughing - trying to get a rise out of people around her - I 'm like, it's anthrax you twit! I mention to her the Green Galleon - then her friend arrives and she's a taller woman, quite slim with dark curly hair - bright white teeth and her lips have this lovely shade of lipstick on them that I really do like! It's a shade I've only managed to buy once and it melted on a hot day in my bag.
So that's all I can remember. It was quite detailed.....especially the deliberate 'wrong' words like anthrops and foxspur - the more I think of that one the more I'm sure I'm now correct...my nose doesn't wrinkle as much with that.
