The FASCES was the chief emblem of Authority in ancient Rome, and still is the chief AuthorityEmblem in Rome's Guise / Extension as "America". "The Roman Empire" never really "fell"; it did a form-change, disguising itself as the so-called Roman Catholic Church.

I think I recall awhile ago that I wrote something saying that Roman empire never really ended but simply changed hands.

The only thing is that everyone focuses simply on the RCC...but they fail to follow a line of history, and to investigate the EASTERN leg or the grecian/byzantine side of the empire! For it is out of the EASTERN and not the Western side that the little horn emerges from in Daniel. This has been a very overlooked issue by many.

The Holy Roman Empire resulted from what today we would called Germany the frankish kings. Before this the Church was ONE CHURCH and its center was not Rome it was Constininople--- Constininople was actually referred to as "new Rome". At the time the Great Schism arose the Byzantine Church who originally held ecumenical council authority became known as the Greek Orthodox church. The Church at Constininople also became the overhead bishop seat over the original seven churches mentioned in Revelation. In the West formed the Roman Catholic Church which would later be infamous for its Holy Roman Empire.

Meanwhile what is overlooked is the EAST. In the East the Orthodox church lost Constininople as the result of Islam and the forming Turkish Ottoman empire. The Ottoman empire can not historically be overlooked. Turkey is lydia and orginally was the North portion out of Alexander the Great's Greek empire---Lydia which today was modern Turkey and the location of one of the FOUR heads on the Grecian beast. Turkey also adopted the symbol of fasces "3-headed eagle". The Ottoman empire has lasted until 1920's---it far outlasted the original "roman empire" in a sense.

At the same time, the Orthodox church being sacked by muslims moved its ecumenical or patriarchal seat to Russia. Take a look at the Russian coat of arms it is a 3-headed eagle, you will only see 2 heads with a crown in the center---the center crown symbolizes a "sleeping eagle head", therefore in actuality it is a three-headed eagle or the sleeping head can be seen as the hidden authority behind the doubleheaded eagle. Moscow was named "New Rome". Even before the RCC and Greek Orthodox churches split as they were one Catholic church for at least 1,000 years... Constininople and not Rome was the headseat for the church--- it was actually referred to as "New Rome". After the Czar fall in Russia America later became designated as "new rome". But the fasces symbols are all over in every world government--not just America. The symbol is even in China...

Anyway I do agree with assessment that facism is an element of American government. Mussolini defined fascism as "a merger of corporate and state power". Of course, there are other elements to the face of fascism but I think anyon can see that corporate power has indeed merged with state power..and the same holds true for Europe as well.
