I am making an apology to other forum members for my harsh words towards Sand and his response in a thread elsewhere on this forum. I am not sorry I said what I did, rather, I am sorry for potentially upsetting other less grumpy members in here - by that I mean - less grumpy than myself. mad.gif unsure.gif sad.gif

Dennis - Yes Oz is Australia - tasmania is the little gem at the bottom of the big island - the mainland. The smallest state - surrounded by water. 42nd parallel - I'm on the same latitude as Invercargill in New Zealand. Our weather is becoming almost tropical - for Tasmania - it used to be much colder - but now - whooowee - I don't like heat - I'm a born and bred tasmanian as opposed to a transplant - and if it gets over 21 degrees celcius - I have to start removing clothes - I'm serious - I can't cope with hot weather. We have quite afew rainforests, regular forests and national parks that the greenies (environmentalists) are rather possessive about - but that the big logging industry wants desperately to eat up.....I can see both sides since I have family in that industry. And our drinking water is regarded as probably the safest in Australia. We can have30 degree heat days - then the next day it can be snowing - that happened last summer - just ridiculous. And it can rain buckets one second, then the sun comes out and every thing just sparkles. We are a nice place and if any Australian on this board tries to tell you otherwise - don't believe them. We've almost - not quite any more - got the cheapest housing in the country - except the 'mainlanders' found this out and all came down here to buy investment properties - although some did move for the lifestyle - then the prices just skyrocketed. dry.gif

That's Tasmania.

tzeitel - I believe tongue.gif is in order. It's not even 7am here on Wednesday - and the kids are up. Thankyfully there seems to be less pain this morning in my legs - although still there. Another day of rain if not today - then in the next couple of days.

To be honest Dennis - maybe the powers that be across the world should 'monitor' forums a bit more closely - then they might actually learn what the people want and what the people think - my own country's leaders included.

However, I reckon that you are ascribing (??) too much importance to Mr Gore in the world's history. Not that I know a lot about the man - I don't - he's just too public a figure for the moment.

Mind you - I have seen Mr GWB touted as the a c as well....and Mrs Bill C......hmmm....quite a few Americans actually.

thank the Good Lord for air conditioning.

and the afternoon thunder-boomers

6 or 7 days a week like that is all i can handle...........i'm not 18 yo anymore..............OH! to be young again!

my Dad's Dad (my grand-dad) was a farmer , and they would always take a 1 hour nap after lunch, then go back to the field.

the men and boys would milk cows, feed and water livestock, while the women cooked breakfast on a wood-burning cook-stove

the women and girls worked in the field with the men and boys, till it was time to cook lunch

supper was left-overs from lunch

no fast-food and snacks back then

no trips every day to town...........any visitor was cherished...........a visit from anybody was a treat...........the fastest transportation was the mule and horse, and they were tired everyday from farm-work

those were the good ol' days.

Sis, we have all been there at one time or another. I love you openness, even through those moments. It is through our weeknesses that we are made strong through Jesus. Amen!

Peacemaker - you are just one special person you know? Thanks for those nice words coz 9 times out of 10 - I reallyu don't feel nice.

I also would like a farm - and a Waltons style farm house! We need a big back yard that's fenced like a blasted prison so the boys can just run and run and run themselves tired. If wishes were horses tho. I know I should believe the impossible when it comes to God - particularly the 'mini-words & visions' I've received - you will build a house and the image it went with it etc etc. But it gets so darned hard!
