In this article I'll cover a variety of things that revolve around the number 11. This article is dedicated to the possibilities for those that see the number 11:11 all the time and other numbers of the like.


Greek and Hebrew Gematria



Below is a process referred to as Gematria or in Greek Isopsephy. The most famous use of Gematria is of course from this verse in Revelation.

Revelation 13:17 And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.

Revelation 13:18 Wisdom is needed to understand this. Let the one who has understanding solve the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. – NLT

The idea behind it is numerical syncs such as 111,1111,911 are some form of encoded message. Numbers of course seem meaningless unless we can assign some form of meaning to them.

The Hebrew and Greek Biblical texts use a vocabulary with numerical assignments on each letter. If you add up each letter you will have the value of that word. You can refer to the chart values on the Gematria Calculator pages.

As an example, you keep getting 111 all the time. The logical thing to do is then look up the words that total 111. Maybe you will find some personal meaning to those words that relate to that number.

The English language uses numerals such as 1,2,3 etc.. Therefore there is no numerical assignment to each letter in this language. You will find some web pages that are looking for 666 using some contrived numerical assignment to each English letter such as A=1 and Z=26. Some change those values to make persons names fit and have no logical sense to the assignments.

The Jewish Temple



Eleven strands of goat skin were used for the Temple as instructed by Yahweh.

Ex 26:7 And thou shalt make curtains [of] goats' [hair] to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.

Ex 26:8 The length of one curtain [shall be] thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains [shall be all] of one measure

Hebrew/Greek Gematria



The Remnant - ישאר (Yud/Shin/Aleph/Reish) (10+300+1+200 = 511)



Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the Remnant of his people, who shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Isaiah 11:16 And there shall be a highway for the Remnant of his people, who shall be left, from Assyria; like it was for Israel in the day when he came up out of the land of Egypt.

There is also another Hebrew word for Remnant called “Sheh-ay-Reeth” and it’s found in Isaiah 46:3 and has a numeric value of 911.

Isaiah 46:3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the Remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne [by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

Iota ιωτα (Iota/Omega/Tau/Alpha) = 10+800+300+1 = 1111

This is a Greek word meaning "the smallest amount". This is also the only time this word occurs in which makes it even more unique as an 1111 value.

The biblical word for Law is Torah. Most bible translations swap in the word "Law" in place of it.

Explaination.....

Although this verse is present in the majority of the Greek manuscripts, it does not occur in the most ancient ones. It appears to be a scribal addition derived from either 4:9 or 4:23 (I assume Mark).
