Why does God use the number to communicate with anyone?

Isn't Yeshua the only way to the Father?

It seems that this awareness to the number is designed to make some focus on "it" and make one believe that just seeing it reminds one to pray or whatever.

Am I the only one that sees this as dangerous? Please try and understand.

Anything that brings focus to "it" instead of listening to the Holy Spirit of God is wrong.

I think this is another trick from the enemy to fool believers in the last days.

There is someone I love very much that is also seeing this. I'm concerned for him. He is a born again Christian also. What can I say to him so that he will listen?

Here is something wonderful from the Zohar:

The Zohar speaks of Messiah's work being from time eternal:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 239b, 240a - “He hath washed his garments in wine”, even from the time of the Creation the reference being to the coming of the Messiah on earth. “Wine” indicates the left side, and “the blood of grapes” the left side below. The Messiah is destined to rule above over all the forces of the idolatrous nations and to break their power above and below. We may also explain that as wine brings joyfulness and yet typifies judgement, so the Messiah will bring gladness to Israel, but judgement to the Gentiles. The “spirit of God which hovered over the face of the waters” (Gen. I, 2) is the spirit of the Messiah, and from the time of the Creation he “washed his garments in celestial wine.”


THE "BIBLICAL" VIEW OF TIME
(Last update 7/3/00)


The "normal" way most people look at time is linear. The past is "behind us," and the future "ahead of us." Adam and Eve existed about 6,000 years ago, the Torah came to Moses about 3,300 years ago, and the Messiah came about 2,000 years ago. This is all indeed true, from our point of view, from the "dimensions" we live in. As we will see however, there are a number of places in Scripture where things are hard to understand if we hold a linear view of time to be the only possibility.

The Biblical view of time is different. It is less concerned with "linear years" as it is with the cycle of events occuring within a year and the relationship these events have with God's eternal plan (i.e., references to them being a "picture" of what is in the heavenlies and a "shadow" of what is to come.)

Scripture tells us:

* Time was given for our "benefit" as part of creation
* We are but visitors on this earth. Our real home is in the heavenlies, "outside of time"

It would seem that we are not to live our lives in a strictly linear fashion (overly concerned with our "time" on this earth), but with our minds in the heavenlies (outside of time).

As such, Paul gave this command:

Colossians 3:1-2 - If you then be risen with Messiah, seek those things which are above, where Messiah sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Which raises the questions, HOW does one; Seek those things which are above and, Set his affection on things above? ("Affection" meaning; to interest oneself with concern or obedience. Strongs #5426.)

The answer begins with, "Study to show thyself approved." (2 Timothy 2:15)

Study what? God's Torah. (NOTE: There was no New Testament written when Paul wrote this.) For it is in the Torah that the foundation lies to understanding the deep mysteries of God, the heavenlies and His will for our lives.

In the Torah (extended through the whole Tenakh/Old Testament) we learn about; the Moedim (God's feasts), the Sabbath, the Shmitta and Yovel (Jubilee) years, the Tabernacle/Temple, the Sacrificial system and priesthood, Creation, the Shekinah and the unity of God. All of these make up what was, what is and what is to come. They also all relate to Messiah, who is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

GOD AND TIME

According to Ezekiel, God wants His people to study the third Temple (Ezekiel chapters 40-48). This is the Millennial Temple. What's the point of this? Is there some type of "mystery" here? Indeed there is. Ezekiel's Temple is a "physical parable" given to us to study and understand.

(Yeshua also spoke in parables -- God makes it deliberately "difficult" to learn about deep spiritual things for a purpose.)

A key point missed in most studies, is that the priests of the Millenial Temple (which includes gentiles - Isaiah 66:20-21) are in a perpetual state of Yom Kippur, as they are all dressed in the four linen garments as the High Priest would be on the Day of Atonement:

Ezekiel 44:17-18 - And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.

The same garments are dispensed to those who are killed for the sake of Torah and Yeshua in the "Great Tribulation." They are now allowed to serve as priests in the same fashion:

Revelation 6:9-11 - And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

There is an allusion to this union of time (Yom Kippur) and space (the Temple) in the heavenlies, found in Hebrews. Unfortunately, this book is consistently misinterpreted, as the fact that it is concerned primarily with the Yom Kippur sacrifice is not understood. (We will cover this in detail in our upcoming Hebrews study.)

In Hebrews, we are told that the earthly Yom Kippur sacrifice (done "in time" as we relate to it, by a tainted priesthood) could never be the perfect sacrifice that the Yom Kippur sacrifice was, done "outside of time" (as we relate to it), by a High Priest of the heavenly priesthood:

Hebrews 10:1 - For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

The writer of Hebrews looks beyond Yeshua's death on the cross, as He is called "the Lamb slain since the foundation of the world" (Hebrews 4:2 and also Revelation 13:8). The atonement He provided was completed since before man was created.

The Zohar speaks of Messiah's work being from time eternal:

This creates some serious topics of discussion. How could Yeshua already have done this before He "came to the earth?" Why did He have to come do this "again?"

Similar questions arise from Philippians chapter 2. Here it speaks of Yeshua receiving a name above all other names, from the Father, following His death. Did He not always have this name?

Another example is seen in Revelation chapter 12. Here we read of Satan and his angels being evicted from the heavenly realm of God, during the period of great tribulation on the earth. But did this not "already happen" a long time ago? Does it "happen again," or do we need to adjust how we think about things involving spiritual time and space?

CREATION, MESSIAH AND THE ALEPH-BET

The simple answer to all of these questions about time, is that from "God's point of reference," these things are already done as He exists outside of time. We however, are to experience them "in time," which God created for us.

Recall how Yeshua explains that He is eternal, in the book of Revelation:

Revelation 1:8 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Greek-based Bibles use "Alpha and Omega," which strips away the depth of Yeshua's words. In the Hebrew, the letters are called the Aleph and the Tav (or "Tau"). Yeshua (the lamb slain since the foundation of the world), says He is (presently) the beginning AND the end. This concept is found throughout Jewish literature, where Aleph and Tav represent a totality without beginning or end.

Here we see the Aleph alone representing the composite unity (echad) of the Godhead:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 21a - First of all is Aleph, the beginning and end of all grades, that on which all the grades are imprinted and which yet is always called “one”, to show that although the Godhead contains many forms, it is still only one.

NOTE: Although the Zohar speaks of the Godhead containing many forms or aspects (in fact three major ones), this is not the same as the idea of the "Christian Trinity." This will be addressed later in this study.

All of creation is represented by the 22 Hebrew letters from Aleph to Tav:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 30a - “The heavens” are the totality of twenty-two letters.

The relationship between male and female is associated with the first two letters, Aleph and Beth:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 200a - The aleph is the image of the male principle as against the beth, which is the image of the female principle;

NOTE: it is critical to note that these remarks about "male" and "female" are strictly allegorical. To take them otherwise leads to paganism.

Technically (according to Jewish literature), God began creation of the earth with the second letter, the "beth," which is "feminine." "Beth" is the first letter of the first book Bereshith (Genesis). "Beth" is related to Wisdom, which is directly associated with creation and therefore with Messiah, through whom all was created.

We see all this in the Zohar along with the unity of God and His creation expressed through the Aleph:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 3b - Thou hast already bestowed on the letter Beth this great gift, it is not meet for the Supreme King to take away the gift which He has made to His servant and give it to another. The Lord said to her: Aleph, Aleph, although I will begin the creation of the world with the beth, thou wilt remain the first of the letters. My unity shall not be expressed except through thee, on thee shall be based all calculations and operations of the world, and unity shall not be expressed save by the letter Aleph. Then the Holy One, blessed be His name, made higher-world letters of a large pattern and lower-world letters of a small pattern. It is therefore that we have here two words beginning with beth (Bereshith bara) and then two words beginning with aleph (Elohim eth). They represent the higher-world letters and the lower-world letters, which two operate, above and below, together and as one. BERESHITH (In the beginning). Said R. Yudai: ‘What is the meaning of Bereshith? It means “with Wisdom”, the Wisdom on which the world is based, and through this it introduces us to deep and recondite mysteries. In it, too, is the inscription of six chief supernal directions, out of which there issues the totality of existence.’

Psalm 136:5 - To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Jeremiah 10:12 - He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

As mentioned earlier in this study, this unity (as expressed in the Shema - Deuteronomy 6:4, which we will cover later), will be reestablished through Messiah at the time of the Millennium, where Yeshua is seen proclaiming that He is the Aleph and the Tav.

An interesting section in the Zohar has the letters "competing" for position in the creation process. Again, we remind the reader that this is strictly allegorical.

Here we have the Tav asking God to be first:

Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Section 1, Page 2b - May it please Thee, O Lord of the world, to place me first in the creation of the world, seeing that I am the concluding letter of EMeTh (Truth) which is engraved upon Thy seal, and seeing that Thou art called by this very name of EMeTh, it is most appropriate for the King to begin with the final letter of EMeTh and to create with me the world. The Holy One, blessed be He, said to her: Thou art worthy and deserving, but it is not proper that I begin with thee the creation of the world, since thou art destined to serve as a mark on the foreheads of the faithful ones (Ezek. IX, 4) who have kept the Law from Aleph to Tau, and through the absence of this mark the rest will be killed; and, further, thou formest the conclusion of MaWeTh (death).

The Zohar's reference to Ezekiel is as follows:

Ezekiel 9:4 - And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Note that the response from God in the previous paragraphs complements that found in Revelation. The mark on their heads is the Tav. In both cases, those who receive this mark (or seal) are the ones who keep the Torah (the Law) and can enter into the heavenly wedding feast:

Revelation 7:3 - And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 22:14 - Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

COMMENTS: By studying all of these things on a deep level, we see that time is not only linear. With God in the heavenlies, there is no "past and future," as they are one. The beginning is the end.

A "visual aid" that helps in making a contrast between this idea and the more common one of linear time, is the Mobius Strip.You can create a model of a Mobius Strip by taking a long and narrow strip of paper and give it a single "twist" before joining it at the ends. Next, pick any point on the strip and call this your "beginning." If you start to "follow" the strip from that point, you will reach your end at the same point you began. The end is the beginning.




Picture along this path with no real beginning or end, God's eternal Torah, the cycle of His feast days repeating "year after year," and the study of His Temple -- the shadows of what is to come.


Although the Christian view of the Trinity is really the same as the Zohar's, the Zohar explains it differently.
A knowledge of Hebrew is essential, since there are so many who profess to know what they are talking about and are just 'pretending' in order to 'get attention' ... but there are good hebrew translations that many Messianic Jews have which are so edifying when it comes to what the Zohar says. It is an interesting study.

I don't think that the Elijah that, according to the website, Steve and Doris are having, and the Elijah you mention above are related in any way. They could have just as easily named him "Bob." I've even got a little nephew myself named Elijah. My sister and bro-in-law just liked the name.

As far as believing this goes, I only know what Steve Wilkins has posted on the website that Doris is in the 28th month of pregnancy (as of the writing). I've never met them personally, so I really can't vouch for them, or the story.

It's one of those wait and see things at this point. A lot has to do with whether or not Rev. 12 (man-child thing) is before us or behind us, depending upon the interpretation. Some even say it's written "nonlinearly" from God's viewpoint...perhaps. However, I'm not anywhere near convinced of the "proper" interpretation of this as I am for "Jesus Christ and him crucified," therefore, I just study the word, pray, watch the signs, and see what happens--being careful to compare everything with the scriptures.

No, the number “11” is NOT “good” by any means. The count of 11 letters in the name “Jesus Christ” is a very weak and simplistic argument. There are 16 letters in the name “Prince of Darkness” which sums to the number “7”, the number of “Spiritual Perfection” (16 = 1 + 6 = 7); there are also 7 letters in the name “Abaddon” (Rev. 9:11) king over the angels of the bottomless pit)… there are “8” letters in the name “Apollyon”, also in Rev. 9:11 (note that 9 + 1 + 1 = “11”, and has everything to do with judgement embodied in the 9/11 Terrorist Attack)… “8” is the number associated with Yeshua = “888”, being the number of resurrection, restoration, Divine protection, healing, wholeness, etc. So as anyone can see this logic is extremely skewed.

According to E.W. Bullinger, the number “11” is the number of “disorder”, “disintegration”, “disorganization”, “confusion”, and “imperfection”. When affiliated with the number of "judgment, being "9", as in Rev. 9:11 or the 9/11 terrorist attack it connotes "judgment by disintegration".

The Islamic founder, Muhammad, died in the year 632 AD = 6 + 3 + 2 = 11. Supposedly he received the revelation of the Quran over a period of 22 years, which is a double 11.

Some more incidents regarding the number 11 that were found on the Internet:
• The date of the attack: 9/11 - 9 + 1 + 1 = 11
• September 11th is the 254th day of the year: 2 + 5 + 4 = 11
• After September 11th there are 111 days left to the end of the year.
• 119 is the area code to Iraq/Iran. 1 + 1 + 9 = 11

• The first plane to hit the towers was Flight 11

Be watchful of multiples of 11, such as 22, the double 11 ! There's a connection between the number 11 and the number 22. Although the number 22 in our Bible is a positive number, some could interpret it as a double 11, or "double judgment " ! There were many terrorist activities thwarted that were planned for September 22!

August 21, 2006: British terror plot to blow up planes over Atlantic. 11 days since the alleged plot was first disclosed and air travel out of Britain was thrown into turmoil. Associated Press stated today: "11 British Terror Plot Suspects Charged With Conspiracy to Commit Murder. One person was released from custody Monday and police continued to interrogate 11 others who remain "under active investigation," lead prosecutor Susan Hemming said."

This would make the 11 already charged and the 11 yet to be charged a total of 22 terrorists! Again, we are seeing the manifestation of the numbers 11 and 22 used in connection with Islamic terrorists.

The amazing number 22!........check this out........The number 22 in scripture generally speaks of "light." This ministry believes it is no coincidence that on October "11," President Bush released the photographs of the "22 Most Wanted Terrorists," and in his speech he stated, "....these 22 terrorists hide in the darkness, but we are exposing them with the “light of justice"...." President Bush probably did not realize the number 22 represents light, and the number 11 judgment, but our God did! Israel was delivered from the JUDGMENT that fell upon the first-born of the Egyptians by the blood of the Passover lamb. That was the TENTH JUDGMENT. TEN represents the LAW, the TESTIMONY. This pictures deliverance from the condemnation of the LAW when faith is exercised in the blood of Christ. This represents the salvation of the soul. But after the soul is saved there is still the question of security. This is pictured by the protection of the Israelites from the Egyptian army by the pillar of cloud and fire which stood between them.

"The angel of God which went before the camp of Israel removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went before their face; and stood behind them: and it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel: and it was a cloud of darkness to them: but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night." (Ex.14:19-20)

This shows a picture of the eternal security of God's children. Among the seventeen things that Paul said should not separate God's children from his love he mentions principalities and powers.

In addition to the salvation of the soul and its eternal security there is the salvation of the body, which will take place at the resurrection of the body. This was pictured by Israel's passage of the Red Sea. It was here that the ELEVENTH judgment upon Canaan, a son of Ham, because Ham saw his father's nakedness when he was uncovered in his tent. Noah said,

"Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants he be unto his brethren." (Gen. 9:20-25)

In Genesis 10:15-18 it says that Canaan had ELEVEN sons.

"And Canaan begat (1) Sidon his first-born, and (2) Heth, and the (3) Jubusite, and the (4) Amorite, and the (5) Girgasite, and the (6) Hivite, and the (7) Arkite, and the (8) Sinite, and the (9) Arvadite, and the (10) Zemarite, and the (11) Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad."
This should answer those who claim that God had nothing to do with the curse pronounced upon Canaan.
In Jeremiah 52:1 it is said that Zedekiah reigned ELEVEN years in Jerusalem. He was a wicked king.
"And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord." (verse 2) In Verse 5 Jerusalem was besieged by the king of Babylon until the ELEVENTH year of Zedekiah's reign. Then Zedekiah was captured and taken to Babylon, and JUDGMENT.

At Kadesh, sometimes called Kadesh-Barnea, the children of Israel brought JUDGMENT upon themselves by refusing to go up and possess the promised land after the twelve spies had returned. They were condemned to wander in the wilderness until forty years were over, and until all who were 20 years old and upward when they had been numbered had died, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb. (Numbers 13:25 to 14:31).

Now read Deuteronomy 1:2:
"There are ELEVEN days journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir unto Kadesh-Barnea."
Those ELEVEN day's journey brought them to the place where JUDGMENT was passed upon them. The country of Sinai is often called Horeb. (Deut. 5:2-27 and Exodus 19:1 to 20:19). At Horeb, or Sinai is where the LAW, represented by the number TEN, was given. ELEVEN is one more than TEN. How fitting it is that the number ELEVEN should be found right after Horeb, and that those ELEVEN days brought Israel to a place of JUDGMENT. Was this a mere coincidence? Surely not! It was so designed by the ONE who inspired the Scriptures to show us the connection between the Law and Judgment. A broken LAW always brings JUDGMENT.

There were ELEVEN things that John saw in connection with the JUDGMENT at the Great White Throne. He saw (1) a great white throne; (2) Him that sat upon the throne; (3) the dead, small and great, stand before God; and (4) the books were opened, and (5) another book, which was the book of life; and (6) the dead were judged out of the things written in the books; and (7) the sea gave up its dead; and (8) death and hell delivered up their dead; and (9) these were judged, every man, according to their works; (10) he saw death and hell cast into the lake of fire whose names were not found written in the book of life. (Revelation 20:11-15)

Let the reader read the passage referred to and see if these things are not listed correctly. Since John said, "They were JUDGED every man according to their works", in two places, the writer counted them and found ELEVEN things. (Read Revelation 20:12-13.) There was a reason for this repetition. It was perhaps to let us know that in this JUDGMENT the subjects will be those who are dead both spiritually and also physically, before being raised. This is the last JUDGMENT.

When the Bible talks about ELEVEN disciples, it means one has fallen away, JUDGMENT has fallen and one is under judgment.

It would be well for the reader to study the 24 times this number is used in the Bible."

People often complain that the bible is too hard to understand, so for that reason we should not read the bible?!? Of course not! So it is that there are certain things in the bible that are hard to understand. Should they be ignored? Of course not.

I find the numbers in the bible very simple to understand. God gives each of us according to our calling and appetite. It says in the book of Hebrews that the writer could not teach them other than the basics of the faith because they were immature and would not appreciate them. Peter said of Paul that Paul spoke about things hard to understand. And, should we eliminate the book of Revelation from the rest of the bible since it is very hard to understand---more than the bible numbers? We do God a disservice when we try to box Him in. He likes to keep us in wonder of Him so that we are humbled by His majesty. Once we think we got it all figured out we become religious rather than in relationship with Him.

God knows what He is doing. There is hardly a page in the bible without symbolic numbers being used (and other such things). To fail to study them is neglect. What are they there for? I have found the numbers of the bible to have strengthened my faith more than any one thing in all the bible, and was the means of keeping me in the faith, for once you understand them you will be on your face in awe---too weak to stay on your feet---declaring, "My ears heard about you, but now my eyes have seen you; therefore I repent in dust and ashes!"

Jesus said, "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear, for I tell you the truth that many kings and wise men wanted to hear the things that you heard and did not." "Whoever has will be given an abundance."

Thank God for the numbers in the bible---for without them I had my doubts about the validity of bible prophecy---since most prophecies are vague. But now I see that every prophecy is numerically backed up so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses all things are established. Thanks be to God for thinking of Thomas' like me who need some proof to believe since there are so many conflicting claims out there. And blessed be God for true bible codes, for they have sifted the Church and challenged her by showing their 'great ones' that there are one or two things they still don't know yet!!!!! Jesus constantly did things that disturbed the status quo. The Pharisees hated Him for it; and, "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!"

Let us not take the mystery and majesty out of the bible when they declare our Lord Jesus Christ. As long as they declare Him, then, we should rejoice---even if for now we have trouble grasping it. Take a few hours or days to study further and slowly all will make sense, for I put the bible numbers on my website (see below) at about a grade 4-6 level---that is all. It is simply plus and minus math. Only the details get complicated, and they are not necessary to study unless you desire to be enriched further. For the basics of the bible numbers is all that is needed to be blessed. Just as a little skill on an instrument can be a great blessing---even so, we all don't have to be experts---surely!

If you think I am a little annoyed---your right! For I have heard this kind of reasoning over and over again. The simplicity of Christ does not mean that there is no depth in Christ!!! That scripture simply means that if we are taken away from the simplicity of believing on Jesus for salvation to that of needing knowledge for salvation---then indeed we have strayed from the faith. For instance, trusting in psychology rather than Christ for the "good" life is wrong. But few even discern it! (Christian psychology is an abomination!) But to grow in grace and in the knowledge of God is a good thing, and without it we will be tossed about by every wind of doctrine---not knowing God or our bible.

The truth of the matter is that the bible numbers have been revealed in these last days to equip the saints to endure coming persecution by strengthening their faith and hope in God. However, (true) bible codes are for a sign to the Jew first, and then to the Gentile. And they vindicate the bible numbers that they are from God and not man. For they work in harmony. For in the end, it will be the bible numbers that will be the source of strength, not the codes. The codes are destined to fade away sooner than the bible numbers. I believe that the numbers will be studied in the coming millennium, but the codes are only a temporary blip to get our attention about the coming tribulation period that precedes this 1000-year reign of Christ. For this reason, the bible numbers are greater than the codes, though for now the codes have greater preeminence.

Even so come Lord Jesus!
