First of all, I am not trying to be rude or anything, and I would like to apologise to anyone who is offended by this joke. I picked this joke up from a friend, It really surprised me in a way with some degree of debate about Easter and more importantly Jesus Christ's words.
"""" We all know Jesus crucified for its people, and we all loved him, because he is willing to die for us, on top of that we get a few extra days of holiday (Yeahh).""""
Now here's the catch, If he is willing to die for us, Why the H@(K did he rose back to Heaven 3 days later??
My friend's answer was " Jesus regretted his decision on Crucifixion for his people, and had enough of it after 3 days, therefore he went back to his ever peaceful heavenly kingdom."
I found it very interesting, because the bible proves Jesus broke his promise on dieing for its people.
Well I guess, the 1st thing to consider is your perception on "DEATH". Is death means a 3-day rest before your trip to heaven, or "DEATH" as cessation of any life?
Finally I don't know much about the bible; therefore you can correct me if i am wrong on this Discussion.
The bible teaches that Jesus physically died on the cross, and that his spirit-body descended into the place of departed spirits, where HE proclaimed His victory over death to those who long had been waiting in this inbetween place for their salvation. When Jesus rose from the dead and later ascended 40 days later, the bible implies that all the righteous dead that were in the underworld (Sheol) also arose with Him --- although it does not expressly say this, as said, it is implied.
"Easter", by the way, is really a pagan counterfiet for the biblical one which is
Passover, the day when God
"passed over" the people of Israel in Egypt as slaves, whosoever, that is, that had the blood of a lamb over the door posts of their
house.
This blood is a type of the blood of Christ. It speaks of this truth:
Whoever believes on Jesus and abides in Him (i.e., 'abides in His house', so to speak), and does not go back into the world and forsake Him (i.e., 'go out of Hs house'), will have eternal life, and death cannot touch Him. He awaits only to be brought out of this world up to heaven (that is, out of Egypt and across the Red Sea). And that's no joke!
