The honey of love is upon my lips, I will not keep silent.
What you have whispered in my ear, I will shout from the rooftops.
I will greet your faithful with a holy kiss of love and strong words of hope.
How awesome are you Lord, there is beauty and perfection in your ways.
Great is your infinite power, the whole world will sing your praises.
Not by my power O' Lord, for I am a weak and sinful man.
Out of the depths of my sorrow and pain, I cried out to thee, O' Lord.
In the day when I cried, thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
The Lord is good to all, he feeds the hungry, heals the sick, a barren woman sits in a house full of children,
he makes the weak strong and the one who is afraid, a courageous warrior.
Blessed be the name of the Lord and all who call on him and trust in him, for he will be their shield in a day of trouble.
I took alot of this out of my reading this morning of Psalms 128-150, trying to capture the spirit of what I read.
I did not cite specific verses because I took pieces from here and there and too many references would break up the writing. To find out what pieces I used, I would encourage everyone to read the Psalms, in the hope that they would encourage you as they did me.

David the Poet...
A song sung blue
Written by: neil diamond
Song sung blue
Everybody knows one
Song sung blue
Every garden grows one
Me and you are subject to the blues now and then
But when you take the blues and make a song
You sing them out again
Sing them out again
Song sung blue
Weeping like a willow
Song sung blue
Sleeping on my pillow
Funny thing, but you can sing it with a cry in your voice
And before you know it, start to feeling good
You simply got no choice
Song sung blue
Everybody knows one
Song sung blue
Every garden grows one
Nothing profound just thinking out loud.

Thank you for sharing Adonai. You have a poet inside of you. You should share more.
and Miki,
I wish i had your talent at finding songs (even secular) that seem to fit. Good job.
Hugs to you both.

Miki,
Have you listened to Neil Diamond's "12 songs" CD. Lots of neat stuff in there.

I've listened to many of his songs. I know he is Jewish and his father had other aspirations for him concerning his talent and the spiritual direction he wanted him to go with it....
Hi Miche...sometimes songs just pop into my head.
