I would like to put a question out...Why specifically, does God present himself to us as Jesus, a man? Thanks in advance.

he wanted to be one of us.........emmanuel........god with us.
he wanted to suffer with us.........read hebrews..........he was perfected by his suffering.
he wanted to substitute for man...........so, he became a man...........a bull can't substitute for a man..........but a man can substitute for a man
he wanted to marry us, so he became one of us
he wanted to be extremely close to us, so he became one of us
if we get saved, we get a GOD-SIZED REWARD.
if we don't get saved, we get a GOD-SIZED PUNISHMENT.
god is treating us as adults (not children)..........he's treating us as equals.........he requires us to be GOD-LIKE............and he became a man (like one of us).
he made us IN HIS IMAGE.............he became one of us.
he could have remained aloof, (not one of us),.........but, he became one of us, to be as close as possible.
he called himself the SON OF MAN............observe his humility, gentleness, love, his condescension to our lowly station.
he didn't ride a stallion,.........he walked or rode a borrowed foal of a donkey
what more could he have done to win our hearts?

Thanks Dennis,
It was one of those things that you don't really get until God lets you have the "ah ha" moment. I guess he could have done anything else, but that would have not "made the point" so to speak. thanks again
