Senate Hearing Stopped By God's Word
by Michael G. Mickey
(9-27-07)

Some time ago outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, made news and was scorned by the liberal mainstream news media for saying publicly that he believes those living a homosexual lifestyle are acting immorally.

According to an Associated Press article, General Pace has upset the politically correct once again by restating his position at a hearing of the Senate Appropriations Committee and taking his remarks a bit further.

The article says General Pace indicated "there are "wonderful Americans who happen to be homosexual serving in the military," but that the law of the land should not condone activity that is "counter to God's law.""

Now here, ladies and gentlemen, is where this story turns horribly bad, reflecting the rapid decline of our nation's morality.

The reaction of many who were present was to boo General Pace - to the point that Senator Robert Byrd, chairman of the committee, had to briefly adjourn it so order could be restored! That, Christians, is how very far we have fallen as a nation!

When people are bold enough in the halls of our government to literally howl at a man for saying that the laws of the United States of America should not condone activity that runs counter to God's law, we are in grave danger as a nation.

Prophetic connection?

Luke 17:28-30:

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Need I remind anyone what was rampant and socially acceptable in the biblical city of Sodom?

The end is near. Keep looking up!..........................benny cool.gif

well, I am sick and tired of people, ANY PEOPLE, emphazising/talking about the sin of homosexuality, whereas in that verse you have also COVERTERS, DRUNKARDS< EXTORTIONIST, THIEVES, etc...

What about them?

I have COVETED, yet when someone mentions that coveting is a sin, I DON"T GO up on my high horses and get angry and nasty and look up for Scriptures justifying my sin! I just admit it SINNEd, and that is it!

The Bible is plain and clear: sin is sin! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif \

+1. I certainly cannot judge homosexuals because of the amount of sin in my life.

Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."

America: Sodom made over?

Proverbs 14:34 "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."

That pretty much sums it up.

In Christ,

Mike

Jesus allows divorce ONLY if your spouse has been un-faithful (if he/she committed adultry).

how many people condemn homo-sex, but they are guilty of anti-biblical divorce?

what about gluttony?
pride?

the national debt is $600,000 per family of four (USA), but i don't hear much complaining about that.
It's a tremendous sin, .........and i think (maybe) it connected to the END-TIMES somehow.

in the END-TIMES, the love of many will grow cold, and people will enslave their own children and grand-children with this huge National Debt.

We are the slaves of our parents.
