He goes to our church and has denied any wrongdoing. I don't know what to think. All I know is that his family needs your prayers. He needs your prayers, if he didn't do it then an innocent man is gonna go to prison. And if he did do it, he still needs prayers. He has several more trials to go. I'm just dumbfounded, and terribly saddened about the whole ordeal.

He has several more trials to go. He has vehemently denied doing anything wrong to all of us at church. Although we're not "best friends" as in we don't hang out together, we are friendly to each other. He, along with his whole family, is very active in the church. So this is hitting us all pretty hard.
As I stated in the earlier thread, I went to a bond hearing last year and it seemed to me his accuser was "acting" the part of a sexually molested girl. It seemed fake to me. She was his step daughter and I guess the divorce was ugly so it haunts me that this may just be a ploy by his ex to punish him for something. I'm at a loss of words. Most of me wants to still believe that he is innocent. But I wasn't there so I don't know. It's always possible he lied to all of us. But the link says there was no physical evidence so I'm taking it as a "his word -vs- her word" ordeal.
Either way this is completely messed up. Either an innocent man is going to prison or a person I knew somewhat well was a sick pervert and a liar. I'm simply stunned.

Just to let you know, something like this happened in my church as well. Only the mother was accused by the X of child abuse. The X had been having an affair with another "Christian" women...He was a firefighter, had money and was well respected in the community but not a Christian. He used a twisted perverted testimony against the mother and Christianity to win custody of the children. So she lost her children to this mad man and his adulterous Christian girlfriend who were living together.
Justice prevailed however...but not until after a number of grueling years and heart ache about 5 or 6?...she got full custody back thanks to a group of true friends that stood by her and prayed her through to the end. You wouldn't believe how many "Christians" didn't want to get their hands dirty in this one.
I don't know whether your friend is guilty or not but if you aren't close personal friends and don't know all the details it's hard to pray.

Maybe so but that doesn't help me...unless God decides to tell me of course. 
I guess the only other thing I could offer is to trust the Lord to always work things according to His plans. There is a reason for everything...unfortunately we don't get to know it all while it's happening.

He came to church yesterday. I was glad to see him. I can honestly say that I think he's innocent. Jewel, another lady from my church, went to the trial. She said it was obvious to her the accuser was lying, and she said the jury looked like they knew the girl was lying but they convicted him anyway. There were several other charges that he was cleared of.
I don't know if the jury actually heard anything they believed or they figured that since he was up there he must be guilty of SOMETHING. I don't know. I don't know, I must admit a little doubt of his innocence came into my mind but it's gone. I truly believe that an innocent man is going to prison. This is terrible.

I'll pray that the accuser/s if indeed they are lying, will be convicted of it and come out and tell the truth, sooner rather than later.

Several years ago, I took on a case freely to help an accused young married man from
a 10 year child molestation wrongful charge.
The story goes as such :
. . . the young man and his new wife volunteered to baby sit for his sister-in-law's 11 year
old daughter. ( his new wife's sister's daughter )
After several months, the 11 year old started bringing another 11 year old friend with her.
Little did the young couple realize, that the 11 year olds were sneaking to access porno
on the web.
When the young man caught them, they retold the story as in the young man knew and
wanted them to look at the porno. And they produced for a school teacher the young
man's wife personal belongings . . . and lied that they were given free access to all the
adult items in the house. ( however, they had been opening private drawers and closets
without permission, in their mischief )
This case would have ended in a 10 year prison sentence.
However, I researched the court records of the 11 year old's mother's case, of her
blood father's sexual abuse 12 years previous. The court records clearly revealed that
the mother was damaged from the abuse ( of course, without a doubt ) ... however, she
had programmed her 11 year old to the point of extreme paranoid behavior.
Instead of the 11 year old admitting she was at fault, she used the court experience
that prosecuted her own grandfather . . . which she had heard all the nightmare stories
about the details . . . and she mirrored the facts of that case with the situation of
false claims against the young man.
Sad, that the court did not drop the neglect of the non-supervision over the internet.
And he still was given a 5-year probation with a $250. per month payment for the 5-
year timeframe. Which ended in the foreclosure of the young couples home.
And the non-felony charge has to be listed on all his employment forms.
The family was destroyed over this, by the taking of sides.
My advice to you, for Joe, is to get a written letter from everybody you know who
has something positive to say about Joe.
And ask them to appear before the hearing judge and read their statement.
Next, do not take this wrong . . . we do have abusers in the world . . . let us hope
you are right and Joe is innocent. However, how far back did you research Joe's
background previous to joining your church ? You must view all sides of the matter.

I coming from this kind of abuse, have seen both sides, both those that abused me walked and my family have never beleved me, taking there sides. Though I have seen those that did nothing pay for the craim they didnt to. This is how our system words. I would rather see this girl but on a lie detacker, than to see a him pay for a crime he didnt to. Those that this really happend to longs for the truth, but most dont get it.

In such a case, pray to God for an angel of Justice be dispatched. Stand on the Truth and pray. God will answer.

cases of missing children, this sort of subject is still hard to deal with. The love of the children
are in your heart. May God (IHVH) give you the strength to use what evil stole from your
