Full Version: Are You My Friend?
Christian-Forum.net > Bible Studies > General Bible Study > Bible Questions
Charlie
Jesus Christ told His apostles that No greater Love has any man than to lay down His life for His friends. He goes on to say that you are His friends if you do what ever He commands you.
This scripture implies that He did not lay down His Life for non friends but only for those who love Him and do whatsoever He commands them.
We know that Christ also taught "love your neighbor as yourself". This brings us to the need of Christ's gospel that says "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand".

John 15
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

I just noticed the Link on your Signature.

Good music, A little sad, but Good.

Which one are you in the Picture?

I hope you don't mind me spreading it around a little.

I keep staring at those boxing gloves in your signature, Charlie.
Last night I gave satan an uppercut, and honestly, I chuckled at the idea that satan will run FROM hell when the Good Lord decides to send me there.
The dream of my life will be that hell is empty.

I am so ready for it. Bring it on!
