Short story...was parked at red light and a driver rear ended me. Thank GOD no one was hurt The woman gave her info and left. A witness drove up to me and gave his info because he said he witnessed the accident and I may need him. I called the police, the police just had me fill out a 'curteousy' accident report. No officer would come to the scene, and no officer would take the report. So I called my insurance and reported it. My insurance adjuster called the other driver, and she gave a completely different story. I contacted the witness, and he called my insurance adjuster and gave his statement, which of course, completely contradicited the other driver's made up story and supported my version of the event 100%. Even though my car insurance is very good; the other driver's insurance should be taking responsibility for this, but insurance companies are noctorious for not being very good to deal with when its their insured who was at fault. Now I am looking at out of pocket expenses for myself....I'll be in a rental car for sure while my vehicle is getting repaired. I know that my insurance will fighting the other driver's for compensation and I have pre-paid legal through my employer who will gladly send a letter to the other driver's insurance company. I am uncertain how this will turn out...it may cost me alot in time, some money, and give me more of a headache. I want to handle in a Christian way, and I want to be able to get the compensation I need because I hate to have extra expenses and not get anything back for months. I'm not looking forward to an increase in my insurance rates eithier....I just don't have a lot of financial resources. Yuck! I'm kind of confused in this and its hard for me to think clearly...my head hurts!

Go lay down and be at peace, put it all in God's hands. He was watching over you when you got in the accident and he still is. We are praying all will be well.

thank you, Adoniacle...the moment I had the accident, I had pain in my head instantly, and it is a very bad and not getting better...sometimes I feel like I might faint...I have a doctor's appt Monday

You are absolutely right about insurance companies not wanting to bare the fault.

I had to let it go.

The other person cheated and lied and the insurance company was happy to believe it.. It occurred in a parking lot on private property and the police don't usually come if they're busy.

In your case however...I don't think it's legal to leave the scene of an accident?

One day all will be brought to light. Hang in there no matter what the outcome.

As it turns out, the woman who struck me was driving on a suspended license, I've been diagnosed with a concussion, and I'm scheduled for MRI. Thank you for your prayers...I am hoping nothing serious shows on the MRI...I let the police know the other driver was driving on a suspended license...they were appreciative..but I have been praying for her too, I've been praying for the driver who hit me...

Please Father, I lift up to You Flyingsquirrel, please LORD, make everything right, for she was not at fault; help Flyingsquirrel get ALL her expenses back and may the whole thing minister to all the persons involved so that they know that beyond what they think is "normal" in life, like cheating and lying, there is an order that can only be divine, and a divine justice as well!

Hang in there, and pray for all the persons involved. It usually helps and is maybe, "maybe" why God allowed the whole thing... Maybe, just maybe these persons were NEEDING YOUR PRAYERS as well!

My mother works for an insurance company. Rarely... and really rarely... is a rear ended person "at fault". (I mean, did you "back into her" at a red light? It doesn't make any sense.)

My headache from the concussion is gone, and soon I'll have to go for the MRI....thank the LORD the headache is gone...

My MRI came back completely normal.... This Thursday I drop off my car for the insurance to take care of the repairs and pick up a rental car in the meantime...thank you very much for your prayers
