On the second week of October, I will be part of a team that will be going inside a prison for three days to minister to juvenile inmates through Kairos Torch Prison Ministry. (www.kairosprisonministry.org)

The mission and purpose of Kairos Torch is to share the love of God to hungry and needy children. We tell them about Jesus- how much He loves them. We do not go into prisons with long winded theology. We don’t harp on their mistakes (because they are reminded of them daily). We simply “love, love, listen, listen.”

I need your help to make this weekend a success.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 12-14, we need warriors covering us in prayer. If you sign up to pray, your name will be put on a chain link. This chain link will be connected to all other chain links and then hung for the inmates to see during the entire weekend- a testimony of caring and love. (Most of the kiddos are SHOCKED when they realize just how many people are rooting and caring for them). I want to get as many folks as I can praying- I want a LONG PRAYER CHAIN!!!

If you would like to help, please post your name on this thread. Then, if you would like to offer an encouraging word, please do so (something like, “You are special” or even as simple as “I’m praying for you”). I will print out your post and put it on your chain link.

I appreciate all of those who answer this request!!! Again, the kids will be in awe that so many folks care.

Hey guys! I just got back from minstering to our boys. WHEW! What a night!

I have a special prayer request for those reading. It is for ME! I think the enemy is doing his thing to try and distract me... because whew man things keep popping up missing, there are last minute "changes" that effect EVERYTHING... I'm a little overwhelmed.

I'll be up tonight burning the midnight oil getting ready for tomorrow. Just pray that God will give me the strength to continue on with joy and also that I'll FIND THE STUFF THAT I NEED! Thanks to all who pray.

By the way... the prayer chain literally WRAPS AROUND THE ENTIRE ROOM!!! Woohoo! The boys are going to be so stoked tomorrow when they see just how many believers are praying for them.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers this past weekend! It was a wonderful success- and 4 of 12 inmates gave their lives to Christ. 2 had renewed hope. I sincerely believe that the Lord will cause all the seeds we planted to grow.
