Some of you know that I've been involved with some Indian orphanages. This is one that a medical doctor, Dr. T. Chinnam Naidu, and his wife Dhanalaxmi have intermittantly run over time. They had to shut it down due to lack of funds. They work amongst the poor in a rural part of south India. I've had him checked out and he needs some training, and another pastor who has an orphanage in a nearby region has agreed to train him. I'll tell you more of this other pastor in another post.

Last month we leased a property for 3 years at a cost of $1250.00 So they now have a place. It needs work but was an exceptional deal. We've sent him $150.00 for Sept expenses, but with 30 orphans and 5 old aged folks, it is less than half of the need. He suppliments the work with whatever fees he can charge for his medical practice. He has 2 small children of his own.

I propose that we as a forum get together to help fund this work. We all want our giving to God to make a real and lasting difference in this world. These Hindu children and elderly people are brought to salvation In Jesus Christ. The children are raised in a totally active Christian enviroment, and will eventually impact their society.

Before that have you contacted them?. Have you spoken to them?. Also where in south india is this?. Lastly reading recent news many hindus was blaming on Christian that they converting them to Christian by force even if it is not true. There are many violence against pastors now days here in india.

Please dont trust anyone who you especially giving money too. It would be better if you have verified all the data first.

Also why do you want to go western union is very expensive. I think there is better service for transferring money us to india.

Well, brothers and sisters, even if you send $5 to David a month, we can make a difference. If you cannot afford it, do it when you can. God says he will provide seed to the sower, so you can actually ask God for the seed money

2Co 9:10 And he that supplieth seed to the sower and bread for food, shall supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:

So when we sow the seed that God gives for seed, He will cause you to get more seed to saw (so its not for you to eat ) , but notice that He does two things: 1) Provides seed (this you cannot use for yourself) and then "bread for food (this is the money you can use) and if you sow and eat, your fruit of righteousness will increase.
So do not eat your seed ! Sow it.

There doesn't seem to be much interest in helping with this project. I'm still hopeful that our forum members will get together and help with this project. Maybe someone's church or group or business can help sponsor this. What could be a more fruitful use of God's money than to get unsaved orphaned children and elderly widows off of the streets and into a Christian 'family' where they receive Christ and learn the truth of the bible?

I have sold a clearance item on Craigslist. I bought it for $22, it cost nothing to list, and sold it for $35. I check the clearance rack at building suppliers, and get good deals. Today I got a new shower stall free from a homeowner who changed his mind. I'll sell it. It all adds up. I pick up side jobs to be able to give. Maybe this will give someone some ideas.

Last month 2 forum members sent a total of $150. It helped. So far nothing has come in this month. It is ok. It is all up to God to provide. Anyone can ask at any time about the finances and I'll answer.

We're all in this together. Please pray for the needs of the orphans and widows.

Thanks Rox, here's an update. I have someone in India checking on a couple of the ministries. He lives there though he is staying here with us for a year or more. I'll give reports when he returns.

Praise the Lord, God has provided $225 this month from forum members. It goes a long way in India, but the needs are still so great. Pray that the Items I am selling will sell. Thanks and God bless you!

Well, the reports are in. One of the orphanages that Cindy & I have been partially supporting for about 3 or 4 months seems to be a sham. I have informed him that I'll not be sending any more money unless the report turns out to be false.

That is not the orphanage that we have been supporting on the forum. Chinnam Naidu's orphanage is legitimate. Jagan visited him and saw the children and the elderly that we are providing for. I am currently seeking to get blankets, towels and other needed supplies for them. It cost too much to ship from America, but I am talking to wholesalers in India who will ship to the orphanage directly. These costs are over and above our monthly support. We'll also be sending money to buy the children a new set of clothes for a late Christmas gift. That is when they usually get new clothes each year.

The money donated at the end of last month was sent to Chinnam last week. We sent $540, the most so far in a month. I waited until Jagan returned and gave his report. Also, I bought a shower stall on clearance and already had a shower valve that I had bought on clearance last year. I had about $78 in them both and sold them for $250 on Craigslist. Praise God!!! That was a $172 profit. A couple of people at our home bible study are also starting to give weekly. God is providing. The $540 that we sent is just enough to make his bills for the month, with nothing left over. I have asked him to give us a detailed list of his needs so that we can asess them and see what we can do.

There each child, being that you are the Father to the fatherless, so they are yours, knows your heart, and hears your voice. That they know that you love them with a great love. hello sir good morning. dhanalaxmi and i go to orissa state to bring street childern, they are 15 students. betel church pastor inform me and requested about feed and give education to them. really they are poor they are lived in small huts,it is only one room,no bath room,no toilet for them, no bed room,one room for cooking,bedding and every thing. i show you when you coming to india.they all are fisherman,their life is too bad,they have no good clothes. we talk with pastors family. he is located in orissa state, paradeep port. the pastor also poor man. now we bring them,but one thing we cut some destitude and child labour who is not interest for education. we want to feed and give good education with other our old children.please write about your anwer.
the pongal holidays finished.yesterday we start classes and other activities,they get one week holidays. every orphanage and ngo organisation must give this holidays as for government rules, but old aged not going any where.
we want to give them education upto 10 th class passed. who passed 10th class can get small jobs and can feed their family. fisherman children in india get 10% education because their parents 100% un educated. the childen are 15. 2 orphan others street children and child labour. their age 7 to 9 years.

chrio, I want to ask promission to put there orphanage on my website that my hubby is doing, I want to post that 10% of what I get from my art goes to them, but I dont know how to go about asking. so who do I ask about this. I want to support this guys work, having the money go strate to him with out a middle man would give more of that money to the children. He seems to be the right guy to go with.

Hey Peacemaker, you may certainly post on your site. I send money to him at least once a month. Several people contribute and I send the money via Western Union. It costs $10 to send up to $500. We now send at least $540 per month at a cost of $15. If you wish to send it direct I'll get you all of the information but it will cost you $10 to send the money. If you send it to me I'll send it and there is no middle man cost.

If anyone requests I will fax or mail copies of the Western Union receipts to you. I believe in complete transparency. Just ask.

I have friends from church going to India this week... over on the west-middle side...I think they call it the arm pit. She said there is such need for training there .... Pastors who have only been saved a couple of years are shepherding the whole town who are coming to Christ through them.

Oh David, so much pain a child has to endure...my heart aches for that poor baby. Still after seeing so much filth in this world it still shocks me to the core that there are evil people who prey on innocent little babies.

Oh Lord! I am literally sick to my stomach! I know things like this go on all over the world, but still, to this day it's horribly shocking to me. Lord please save these suffering babies from the grips of monsters.

David...we finally received the money we were waiting for. I'm hoping it will clear today so that I may send some to you for the orphange. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. My children expressed an interest to help too...they heard me talking about it and asked if they could sell their toys and give the money to the children. I'm so proud of my boys..the Lord certainly has touched their hearts...do I dare say, I feel too blessed? I'm sure He knows what I mean by that.
