Genesis 3;1-6

The Serpent (Satan, Deceiver) lied to Eve, Eve was deceived by Satan, Eve ate the forbidden fruit.

1 Timothy 2;13, 14

Adam was NOT deceived, and he ate the forbidden fruit. Adam knew that he would die, if he ate of that fruit.

Why did he eat?

He knew that Eve would die; God had said that.

Adam loved Eve, very much. Enough to die for her.
Adam decided: "I'd rather die with her, than live without her."
So,......he ate.

*******

This may be a Foreshadow, a Picture, a Type of Christ and the Church.

Satan deceived mankind. But, Christ was NOT deceived.

Christ loved the Church (His Bride). Very much. Enough to die for her.

Christ decided: "I'd rather die with My Bride, than to live without her".

********

Paul told us:
Wives, submit to the authority of your husbands.

Husbands, love your wives. Love your wives so much, that you are willing to die for your wife.
In the same way, Christ loved His Bride so much, that He was willing to die for her.

jjjjjjjjjjj

After she ate, but before he ate,............

Eve (Church, Bride) was deceived and doomed to death, and sinful.
and
Adam (Christ, Groom) was not yet sinful (he hadn't ate yet), he was sinless, he was in love with the Bride, he chose to die with the Bride rather than live without her.

Adam chose to take on the sin of the Bride (become her sin)...........like Christ did for the Church.

If the Rev 12 woman is the Church (Eve),.........that might explain why the THEOMATICS of Rev 12 speaks of EVE.

Divorce teaches us that: Love does not last.

God's Plan for Godly Marriage teaches us that:,...............Love lasts FOREVER!

the woman in Rev 12.......

as per Del Washburn,.......

The seed of the woman is all humanity. In Genesis 3:20, it states that Eve became the mother of all the living. The "remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus," are all the born again Christians. Satan is going to go after whoever he can. "... and went to make war with the remnant of her seed."

2 Cor 5:21

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),

I agree, Jesus never sinned, but he "became sin" for us.

i see your point,.........but, on the other hand:

the HEAVENLY FATHER was pleased to punish Jesus as if He was a sinner..............Jesus, Who knew no sin, became sin for us..........He took our punishment and death.

Genesis 3………….KJV

14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

VERSE 15
THERE IS A GOLDEN THREAD OF PROPHECY CONCERNING EVE’S ***”SEED”*** (CHRIST)………THROUGH THE BIBLE , FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION.

16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

20And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

21Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Romans 5;14
1 cor 15;22
15;45

Romans 5
Amplified bible

10For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His [[g]resurrection] life.

11Not only so, but we also rejoice and exultingly glory in God [in His love and perfection] through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received and enjoy [our] reconciliation.

12Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [[h]no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned.

13[To be sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men's account where there is no law [to transgress].

14Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, [i]the former destructive, the Latter saving].

15But God's free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man's falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God's grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.

16Nor is the free gift at all to be compared to the effect of that one [man's] sin. For the sentence [following the trespass] of one [man] brought condemnation, whereas the free gift [following] many transgressions brings justification ([j]an act of righteousness).

1 corinthians 15

19If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.

20But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].

21For since [it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it is] also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead [has come].

22For just as [because of their [c]union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their [d]union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive.

23But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected] at His coming.

24After that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power.

25For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet.

26The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.

27For He [the Father] has put all things in subjection under His [Christ's] feet. But when it says, All things are put in subjection [under Him], it is evident that He [Himself] is excepted Who does the subjecting of all things to Him.

28However, when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also subject Himself to [the Father] Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all [be everything to everyone, supreme, the indwelling and controlling factor of life].

29Otherwise, what do people mean by being [themselves] baptized in behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?

30[For that matter], why do I live [dangerously as I do, running such risks that I am] in peril every hour?

31[I assure you] by the pride which I have in you in [your [e]fellowship and union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, that I die daily [I face death every day and die to self].

32What do I gain if, merely from the human point of view, I fought with [wild] beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised [at all], let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will be dead.

33Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

34Awake [[f]from your drunken stupor and return] to sober sense and your right minds, and sin no more. For some of you have not the knowledge of God [you are utterly and willfully and disgracefully ignorant, and continue to be so, lacking the sense of God's presence and all true knowledge of Him]. I say this to your shame.

35But someone will say, How can the dead be raised? With what [kind of] body will they come forth?

36You foolish man! Every time you plant seed, you sow something that does not come to life [germinating, springing up, and growing] unless it dies first.

37Nor is the seed you sow then the body which it is going to have [later], but it is a naked kernel, perhaps of wheat or some of the rest of the grains.

38But God gives to it the body that He plans and sees fit, and to each kind of seed a body of its own.(F)

39For all flesh is not the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for beasts, another for birds, and another for fish.

40There are heavenly bodies (sun, moon, and stars) and there are earthly bodies (men, animals, and plants), but the beauty and glory of the heavenly bodies is of one kind, while the beauty and glory of earthly bodies is a different kind.

41The sun is glorious in one way, the moon is glorious in another way, and the stars are glorious in their own [distinctive] way; for one star differs from and surpasses another in its beauty and brilliance.

42So it is with the resurrection of the dead. [The body] that is sown is perishable and decays, but [the body] that is resurrected is imperishable (immune to decay, immortal).

43It is sown in dishonor and humiliation; it is raised in honor and glory. It is sown in infirmity and weakness; it is resurrected in strength and endued with power.

44It is sown a natural (physical) body; it is raised a supernatural (a spiritual) body. [As surely as] there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.

45Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].

46But it is not the spiritual life which came first, but the physical and then the spiritual.

47The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust (earthly-minded); the second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven.

48Now those who are made of the dust are like him who was first made of the dust (earthly-minded); and as is [the Man] from heaven, so also [are those] who are of heaven (heavenly-minded).

49And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so [g]let us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven.

50But I tell you this, brethren, flesh and blood cannot [become partakers of eternal salvation and] inherit or share in the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable (that which is decaying) inherit or share in the imperishable (the immortal).

51Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed)

52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed).

Interesting themes here Dennis.

I don't suppose that it is possible that Eve was the mother of all who are natural born--fleshly birth and Mary is the mother of all those who are super-natural born. Has anybody every thought of this?

Certainly we know that she was the mother of the supernaturally born Jesus Christ who is the firstborn of many brethren. Romans 8:29.

If we are true brothers to Jesus then we must have the same mother. Or maybe we are only half-brothers to Jesus.

I might be going out on a limb here just making this up myself. But does anybody else think I might be onto something here, like a really good pattern or imagery from the Bible? Or do I just have stars in my eyes?

the NT says that we CHRISTIANS are ADOPTED sons (children) of God.

John 3;16
for God so loved the world that He gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (HIS ONLY NON-ADOPTED SON)

IN the OT, none of those individuals were ever called sons of God, or children of God,........they are called SERVANTS of God.
In the NT, we are CHILDREN of God,..........BROTHERS of Christ (SPIRITUAL BROTHERS, by a Spiritual Birth, not a natural birth)

the NT is a BETTER covenant than the OT

John the Baptist was never a born-again Christian,.............he lived and died under the OT LAW OF MOSES..........before Acts 2 Pentecost..................John was an OT Saint

I believe that Eve is like the church. I believe the satan always is striking at our heals, and I believe that the punishment Eve recieved is like the children we are trying to make (new christians) that will be hard for us to come by. We want this to happen badly, but it doesn't come easy. I believe the punishment Adam received is like that of a man. He tries hard to feed his family, but tolls. I believe that Jesus came from where ever he was residing before coming in the flesh. I don't believe that he could be born of a woman defiled by man. This is not a Maryology, I am not a RCC. I believe that she was "intact" on purpose. I believe the womb and a woman are an intregral part of God's plan, I don't know why, but why would the devil make it one of the most perverted (pornography) things today. Jesus entered this world undefiled(blood and water), walked undefiled, crucified (blood and water),and has risen the same. I believe the next water and blood event will happen when he parts the water (vapor, sky) and blood to horses bridles, so his children can walk across. We come from fallen wombs, and defiled by man, born by flesh, not by Spirit, until later. Jesus never, from birth to finish, joined in the flesh. Way to go Mary, and the rest of you overcomers.

It is true that Jesus is the only naturally begotten son of God. That stands to reason as we all were begotten naturally by men. But when we are born again we are begotten again of the spirit.
Wasn't it you that was differentiating between the natural birth and the supernatural birth?

So we are supernaturally begotten so that we may be reborn of the spirit.
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

This is why we love the brethren because they are begotten of the same father which we are begotten of. How else may they be called brethren?
1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born [1] of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

This shows that we love our brother because he is begotten of our Father in heaven. How else can a man be born of God if he is not also begotten of God. The notion is ludicrous.

Which is not to say that the figure of adoption is untrue either. For unlike a human father who begets a son sometimes against his own will, he ends up with a child of no particular choosing which may be deformed in some way or particularly unlikeable. However the father who adopts also brings a child into his family but he does so by choice. He meets the child, loves the child, chooses the child. Not necessarily because of any merit of the child but out of an inexplicable generosity of care and love toward the child. It is an extraordinary act of grace. A man takes a stranger's son and makes him his own, feeding him, clothing him and making him his heir.

This beautifully illustrates how we are adopted into the family of God. Because while we were yet sinners he loved us, even though we were the child of the devil he favoured us. He did not just spare us from death but he clothed us in righteousness and fed us and made us his heirs of all creation. But this election is what results in something else which is not possible for a human father. God the Father is able to beget us again supernaturally by the action of the Holy Spirit and by baptism plants us in the womb of the church where we are nourished and where we grow in grace and knowledge until the resurrection when we burst forth in newness of life.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
