im not sure if this is in the right section, please correct me if im not.
To all the people who have migraines....i need some help...ive been getting quite a lot of migraines lately and nothing seems to be helping. i am on sandomigraine at the moment but it doesnt seem to be helping. i was on imogran but that didnt do much. my migraines last a minimum of 3 days....so far it was a maximum of 7 days with severe pains from the migraine. these are my symtoms and stuff i get when i have a migraine:
- extremely moody
- depressed
- extremely tired and spend lots of time sleeping
- stick neck/sore muscles in neck
- unformed flashes of white and black lights...rarely i see coloured lights tho
- blurred/clouded vision
- pins and needles in my arms/hands then face
- severe throbbing on one side of my head at a time with the pain mostly behind my eyes
- severe nausea/bad vomiting
- any kind/forms of smells, noise or lights make my eyes really sore and make the migraine worse
- i have to hide in a dark and quiet room and sleep it off if i can
- nasal stuffyness
- sometimes diareah and larger amounts of urine pass
- extremely pale skin (whiter then it already is lol)
- unable to concentrate on anything....looking at screens or tvs hurt my eyes
- lightheadedness/dizzyness/off balance feeling
- cold shivers
- major loss of appetite
- speech disturbance
- see flickering lights/flickering lights make migraine worse
- abdominal pain...sometimes quite bad
- disturbed bowel activity
and thats all within one migraine so i guess you can see why i dont do to uni when i get a migraine....but thats a severe one....i get about 3/4's of that with a moderate one...and about half of them with a light migraine.
i had my eyes tested and they are fine so i have ruled them out to be causing my migraines....lately they have been getting pretty bad. i know that stress is a trigger...also citrus foods or anything citrusy cuases migraines at the drop of a hat. im keeping a migraine diary at the moment but not going back to dr until another week and a half....*ouch...cries* i have bad abdominal pain and my head is throbbing so im gonna get off here before it gets any worse. please, if any one can help me with some ways of getting rid of the migraines or getting them under control please let me know....im almost getting desperate with getting rid of these blasted migraines....i dont wanna miss more school and risk my future carer from migraines. so any kind of help would be good. also if you have migraines and you dont get them all that much anymore id love to hear how you got rid of it or what you did to ease it.
blessings,
pinky

As a migraine sufferer I too had 3 dayers along with all the other symtoms. I read the book the Makers Diet and decided what do I have to lose!! One thing that really hit was that while I stuck to organic and followed his advise I didnot get one headache. Everytime now I eat anything not organic I get a migraine. I look at it as sort of a blessing but when I want to eat out with friends its a bummer but when I do eat out I take an exedrine migraine at the same time and if I do get a headache it is not sevier. All the medications did not work for me. Before though if I thought I was getting one I would take one excedrine migraine and it would make it bearable. But if I got a full blown one I would take a Fiorinal. Doctors dont like to give it but it is for migraines also. I dont like taking drugs so I never misused it. But it is the only thing that worked for me.

I am praying..also call your doctor too. As strange as it sound try rubbing a banana peel on the forehead or back of the neck. Also the migraines may be linked to your inability to eat.

I've heard caffeine can help as it constricts the blood vessels. Prayers sent that you get to feeling better.

As a 33-year veteran of chiropractic care (having woken up one morning with an unbelievably painful crick in my neck at 7 years old due to a hard ring-around-the-rosie fall the night before--a "symptom" which a chiropractor "fixed" the root of in less than 3 minutes, bringing "instant" relief), I can say without doubt that through the years, I've learned that chiropractic care has done much to relieve the migraine "symptoms" of nerve/spinal problems in peoples' necks.
Have you heard of any reputable ones in your area?
In Christ,
Mike

Hi Pinky,
I have never had migraines however I was horribly afflicted with sinusitis and grevious sinus pain.
I treated this with fasting and now have not had a recurrence of these symptoms for two years.
In the past the majority of diseases were caused by deficient diets lacking in nutrients.
However today we generally have very good diets. However the problem with the modern diet is that too much food is consumed, and a lot of toxins are consumed.
The organs of elimination such as Kidney liver etc become overloaded so the body uses secondary measures to get rid of the toxins. Usually these are mucuous of various kinds in cold, flu and sinusitis, hemorrhoids, rashes, fevers. Unfortunately Doctors see these symptoms as a disease and stop these symptoms as bad guys suppressing them with medicines and other treatments.
Instead of letting the body do its job they instead they debilitate these mechanisms with medication forcing it to retain the toxins in the body causing more serious diseases down the track. Migraines, arthritis and as time goes on even cancers and heart disease. So the medicines which stop symptoms are actually impairing the body and setting up the patient for worse illnesses.
The solution therefore to most 20th century diseases is fasting. Completely ceasing food intake and drinking only water give the kidneys and liver a chance to catch up and eliminate the toxins which have built up over a lifetime from pesticides, food additives, air pollution, heavy metals, poisonous vaccines, poisonous medications and drugs.
For more information on the use of fasting and sunshine to rejuvenate the body please research the works of Herbert Shelton Fasting and Natural Hygiene.
This requires quite a paradigm shift. Instead of seeing disease as our enemy to be fought with drugs we see disease as our friend who is trying to tell us we need to make changes in our lives. Instead of killing our friend we rest and provide our friend every opportunity to do his job of getting rid of toxins grateful that in his wisdom God has given us a glorious body with extraordinary healing abilities.
If people are basically healthy I would not recommend fasting beyond 3 days and would rather recommend healthy eating, weight training, physical recreation and sunshine. But for those who are obese, have persistent cold and flu symptoms, chronic headaches or joint pain, concerns about cancer or heart disease then I seriously recommend an urgent overhaul and renovation of the body through fasting.

True but after caffeine wears off it will make the headache worse.

Have a solution :- Keep drinking coffee non-stop?

Rub the pressure point between your thumb and pointer finger. You will find the pressure point cause, well it feels like a pressure point. But this will take almost any headache away in seconds to minutes!
