2007 ROSH HASHANAH REPORT

The year 5768 on the Jewish calendar begins at sundown on September 12, 2007, and ends at sundown on September 29, 2008. Every year just prior to Rosh Hashanah, we publish a report briefly outlining what we feel the Holy Spirit is saying for the New Year. This year is notably different than other years, in that the enemy appears to be working overtime to devise ways to abort what God wishes to birth in 5768. There is a clear sense of urgency to intercede and be at the right place at the right time as we enter into this pivotal year on God's calendar.

Prophetically speaking, aside from potentially being a year of great volcanic and seismic upheavals, the year 5768 is a year which the enemy has marked as being a season to launch unprecedented attacks against the U.S. and Israel. However, these are the enemy's plans, not God's, and can be offset through prayer, obedience and strategic intercessory actions of the saints.

When you receive prophetic warnings this year pertaining to approaching terrorist attacks, financial turmoil, great quakes and other disasters upon cities and nations, do not come into agreement with the enemy's plans for 5768, but ask the Lord what his will is for these areas at risk. I believe that the great 8.0 quake which shook Peru on August 15 would have exceeded 9.7, if it had not been for the prayers and sacrificial obedience of a small remnant of people, many who traveled to Peru from across the world to pray for that nation during the hours leading up to the quake. Although over 500 people lost their lives in Peru on August 15, that figure could have easily been 500,000 if the quake manifested as a 9.7 and triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami. Within two hours, California would have been hit by the waves, and within 8 hours Asia would have been slammed by tsunami. Although God's mercy clearly intervened in the size of this quake, we must not let our guard down for a moment, whereas we've been warned that more great quakes will follow in the near future, short of divine intervention.

In June of this year, while in New York the Holy Spirit began to deal with me about returning to America just prior to birthday (which coincides with Rosh Hashanah this year, Septmeber 13), because the enemy was planning major attacks against the United States and Israel during this time frame (the fall of 2007), which needed to be intercepted by the Glory of the Lord. While speaking at a prophetic conference in New York in June, not only were our microphones and sound systems disrupted by the Glory, but electricity in all of Manhattan was knocked out for one hour. I believe that this one particular sign revealed an important key and strategy in offsetting the enemy's plans for 5768. According to words received over the last several years, we know that the enemy is attempting to plant weapons of mass destruction in several major cities. But if we are obedient to the Holy Spirit and position ourselves to be at the right place at the right time, the Glory of the Lord will diffuse every weapon of the enemy, knocking out the electronics and computer and rendering every weapon useless. The Glory of the Lord is the most powerful weapon on earth, and can erase the enemy's plans for 5768, and create an atmosphere of revival and reformation.

FALL ASSIGNMENT TO AMERICA AND ISRAEL

The book "Angels on Assignment" comes to mind, which I read many years ago as a teenager growing up in Southern California. Angels have obviously been very busy preparing the way for this upcoming trip to the USA and Israel, compelling me to move forward at times in which I have really been too tired to take another step. It seems as if I just returned home to Asia, and now it is almost time to leave again on another long international journey. I have been wrestling with the Lord about this matter, and have given Him every excuse I can think of to stay home and let someone else go, but the signs and confirmations are clear, and compel me to keep moving forward. Although I do not have my ticket yet from Manila to San Francisco (I need to depart by September 4), my ticket from San Francisco to Tel Aviv on September 12 has been paid. When I arrive in Jerusalem, I do not know where I will be staying, and I have no meetings scheduled during my 12-week journey in the United States and Israel, aside from one speaking engagement to date.

In the natural, this mission makes absolutely no sense … why go to Israel to just pray for the peace of Jerusalem, or go to America to just pray for the peace of Washington DC during a particular time, without any foreseeable income, at a time when no funds have been coming in to the ministry (the last donation received in our P.O. Box was 12 days ago) … the answer is very simple: obedience! Your prayers for strength and supernatural provision are certainly appreciated this fall.

PRAYER REQUEST: On my last 6-week journey to America, we paid over two-thousand dollars for rent-a-cars, and on my upcoming trip I will be spending double that length of time in America, most of which will be spent on the West Coast. A new vehicle would certainly be a great blessing to our ministry, whereas on the average I am now spending four to five months per year in the United States. Several years ago, the Lord blessed us with the donation of a 1998 Ford Escort; however, that vehicle is used by my mom to help with the administration of the ministry in Oregon. We need a second vehicle in California, which my brother James would be a steward of while I am in Asia; a vehicle which could be waiting for me when I arrive in the United States, so that all of our income would not be drained by high rent-a-car expenses.
