Last night after our house church where we started reading the Messianic Prophecies I had a real weird dream....actually - techincally it was this morning.....since it was after 5am. I dreamed a huge dream - most of which has escaped me because my son woke me up by sneaking outside and ringing the doorbell. The one thing that stuck with me was a dark haired woman in black - with a black crucifix around her neck were helping someone - possibly across an airfield - and I turned to her - and said "basically - I think I've converted, my "uniform" is arriving soon. Even her 'nuns' veil was all black. BUT something didn't sit right with me. NExt thing I do remember is Kevin Rudd winning our FEderal election - and saying to someone - possibly my husband - you think that you've got it right. You can laugh now that he's won - but mark my words -it will all come crashing down like a house of cards. When that happens - remember what I said.

I can see several meanings with this - first and foremost to do with the Catholic CHUrch - sorry to any catholics out there - this is not catholic bashing. BUt both our leader and our opposition leader are professed christians - and Mr Rudd - the opposition leader has just been splashed across our media for visiting a strip club in NY (??) a few years ago and being off his face drunk at the time. Anyway - there's a lot of christians out there who believe theat the catholic church will come crashing down ( and I had a dream a long while back - something along the lines of "and Rome shall fall - or shall burn never to rise again from the ashes" - in the end times.

Also - there's been the discussion here about the New Age stealing angels and the masquerading of satan as the angel of light.

OR - since most people in Australia believe truly that Mr Rudd will win the election......maybe it's a portent of what's to come.

oooh - I just told hubby - and I said to him - I don't know if Kevin Rudd is catholic or christian....he said that he's catholic.....they made a mistake in the paper the other day and called him catholic.....very interesting sleep.gif

(The one thing that stuck with me was a dark haired woman in black - with a black crucifix around her neck were helping someone )

I was thinking about ideas in the turning to the old, black, the word Gothic came to mind. I don't know why...yet.

There is in style the gothic dress, were women dye their hair, and ware block, but more over this has a meaning of rebalion, standing apart. The part were you said he crass was black, well that has a lot of meaning, turning what would have been go and right, the word, not beging rightly divied, or out right miss used. Taking something that is holy, and disacrating it. Does that help!?

possible - although as I read what you wrote - something else came to mind. I WAS Looking up the gnostic writings last night - I didn't actually read any of them just seeing how easy they would be to find. Now the church - the then only church - which is what the catholic church was - suppressed most of them.

So I wonder now - was it God saying - don't touch them. Or was it God saying that the forbidding of these books has warped christianity - since a lot of them were widely read before the church started to clamp down on them.

Who knows. I also forgot - at one point - when I told the woman that I thought I'd converted - no matter how wrong it felt - I leaned over and kissed her on the cheek......thinking on it now - because this conversion felt wrong - I wonder if it was not a Judahs Kiss - because I did have a smile on my face - and I felt - well - pleased with myself.

Wow, that is something to think about! Judahs Kiss, He has what everyone had been given through the new covenant, but turned away in that act, for a price.

I am having a little trouble following your thoughts on this thread, but one thing concerned me greatly. I get the impression that you are toying with the thought that the gnostic writings are worth your time reading and that God preserved them and that they should never have been suppressed. One of Satan's first attacks against his new formed church after his resurrection was the gnostic movement. The Gnostic's deny the divinity of Jesus. Satan isn't all that creative, he is still using the same tactic he has always used. Know this for certain, the gnostic beliefs were a tool of Satan and still are today.

I did a thread on Gnosticism awhile ago and how some of its teaching has crept into the churches unaware to most. A lot of what is on that thread has quotes from Gnostic writings--and they were very heretical--nothing was surpressed by the early Church on this area. They denied the divinity of Christ---they did not believe He came in the flesh but only appeared in a spirit body. These are handful of horrific false teachings and many are numerous and varied in different gnostic sects---some outrightly taught that Lucifer was the real God while Yahweh was evil. They denied the resurrection of the dead and also mixed there teachings with paganism and there idea of Christ. Freemasonry borrows a lot from gnostic thinking--- since it is a merger with Rosicrucianism(gnostic christian mysticism). Early merging between gnostic thought and the so-called christian form came mostly from those influenced by gnostic Jews in the Hellenistic period. Simon Magus was considered the main founder of gnostic christianity---he is the same magician spoken about in Acts. The New Age movement also has clear roots in gnostic lore and teaching.

So Kansas Dad here is right on---

Kansasdad - it's more just Ideas of what hte dream could possibly mean. So far - only Peacemaker has had a suggestion. I've added things as I've remembered them - which is the gnosticism bit - I'd been searching on the internet about them - and the dream came that night. Due to my sudden waking from my children that happened - eg; the 3 year old got out of bed, snuck out the back door and rang the front doorbell - I was half clothed and at the door to answer before I'd even woken up. So - my dreams tend to vanish quickly if I'm woken quickly. Aside from that - something had popped into my head - which is why I was looking up the gnostic writings - I'm not even sure exactly what I was looking for at the time. It's just something I did. My interest isn't 'scriptural' in any way - more like curiosity. And if you don't know about something, you can't fight against it. Do you get my drift? It's like being an expert on icecream - but never having tasted it or seen it. Bad analogy but it's all I got atm - my shoulders hurt like nothing else and I NEED a rest. My kiddies are sick and the nearly 1 year old is keeping me up to all hours.

Dreams are very difficult to follow because our minds use them to process much of what we have experienced. So I am sorry if I am not much help on the dream. I just wanted you to know you are dealing with one of satans tricks in the Gnostic teachings. I am just throwing up a big red flag for you. Thank you for sharing a personal experience, That is not always easy to do, you open yourself up for every opinion out there. Obviously this dream "disturbed" you enough for you to seek other opinions. Did you say you had the dream before or after you investigated the Gnostic teachings? Maybe the black dressed lady, who welcomed you for joining them, was your mind wrapping around the Gnostic teachings. Somewhere inside you knew it wasn't right. She presented herself as something good "a nun" but it seemed warped or wrong some how. Satan is good at taking something that is good changing it slightly leaving just enough of the appearance of good to confuse those looking on. Just my thoughts, I could be totally off blush.gif

yes they are tough.

why is god not clear on serious things?

Sand, The Lord is clear..we're the ones who mess it up. I should know, I mess up all the time!

Interesting dream MadMikkie... When I read about the kiss, I thought about the kiss of death..the woman gives me the willies. I got the sense of her being a witch...are you around people who are practicing wiccans? I had a dream recently that was similar to the woman in your dream..it was a man though. And it involved my brother. I called him the next day and asked him if he knew any witches...He was shocked that I asked because he had let a friend of his who happen to be a practicing wiccan stay with him..in my dream I was told to get him out of the house before it falls. That's why I'm writing..I may be way off for you, but it just seemed so similar that I had to ask.

Fascinating. I have a friend - a christian friend - who's sister is a wiccan - and another friend who's father - which is really complicated and she's on the forum here so it's up to her to say more - is a wiccan.....sort of....it's difficult to explain in an open forum. If my friend reads this - it's up to her to say WHY it's complicated! But needless to say - I believe she feels uncomfortable about this aspect of her father - since she also is a christian. And from what I recall, this dream occurred with in a day or so of my friend speaking about her father.
