I've been surfing around - looking for some of those pretty images of angels, just for a scrapbooking challenge. Now, before I rant - I will say - I believe in angels, I've seen angels - definately twice. To me - angels are protection, comfort and just the yummy things that God has given us. However! What I have noticed is that the new age seems to have appropriated the angels for themselves....mixing them up with various spirit guides, 'entities' from other religions etc. I've no doubt that in varying countries, the names of the angels change - but when they start mixing with things that just don't feel right....I wonder what God and the Angels think about it all. And WHY are they, so many times ( in particular the arch-angels, they seem to be quite popular) are they depicted as full breasted women - when they are male? IT"S SO FRUSTRATING.

Angels are not necessarily to be disregarded by christians - in the older Jewish writings there is more information on the angels that hasn't been noticed or looked at by christianity. BUT IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN ANGELS - how can you be a christian? - there goes the virgin birth - remember Gabriel?

There's my rant. it's driving me nuts. Without having the background in Jewish scripture and writings - I don't know how much of this stuff about the angels is made up - and how much is real?

How do we 'take back the angels' for God?

I believe in Angels but i dont trust them or put them high on my list. First of all we dont know if the angel is a good or bad one. It is warned that we should never contact angel because satan can come in form. . Secondly God hand is not small. It can be reached anywhere and everywhere.. We are to praise Lord not angels.

Advice :- Stop thinking about angels and this world. Just focus on Lord.

Okay - the 2 definate occasions I saw angels - the first was in a highly intense moment of prayer - TO GOD - not to angels at all - between my husband and myself - begging for justice and truth. Begging God. NO-one else. We both 'saw' the same image - or at least - the angel in the doorway of the lounge where we were praying - my husband saw the angel holding a firey sword aloft - I SAW the angel drawing his sword.


The second time was only a month or so ago - in the lounge room of a person from church. Myself and pinkpirate attend a home group/house church at this fella's place. I was the only one who saw him - he was glowing white - and for the rest of the evening I felt an arm - or a warmth where it felt like an arm was resting across my shoulder. The shoulder that wasn't covered was as cool as the rest of my body. ONLY the shoulder and part of the back of my neck where the 'weight' was felt was warm.


I'm not saying we should pray to angels. WHAT I am saying is they've been hijacked by the New Age. I only found out the other day that (I think I've got it right) the book of Jude contains a reference to the book of 1 Enoch - a Jewish text. This particular passage quoted was to do with the nephilim ( I was reading a novel) and the comment was - that this book was 'tossed out' by the church at some point ( I can't remember the date) - prior to that it was read by the christian scholars.....so there is so much that christians think they know - but don't. The Jews are so fortunate - particularly the Christian Jews because for them - becoming a christian opens up their eyes to truth in a way it doesn't for 'gentile' christians. They have the whole history behind them - they can understand a lot quicker - the more difficult parts of the NT than the gentile types.

But that's off track. I don't pray to angels. I pray to Jesus and to Father God. That's it. In Psalm 91 " 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

IT IS God who commands the angels to watch over us. Yes - Satan can appear as a beautiful angel of light - but I'm presuming that if you are able to discern that it is or is not satan - seeing angels shouldn't be that 'forbidden'.....neither should it be regarded as new age - just because you've seen an angel

but angels dont nessisarily *cries - i cant spell* come in the form of an angel with wings do they? they can come in human form, am i right?

The world is corrupted all sort of wicked is increasing. Dont worry Father is coming. He would undone everything. The only power we have is to praise him.

You might say this is a strange article for Jerry to write in the middle of a war, and possibly you’re right, but I feel that I should share something very important with you. Over the past week or so there have been an unbelievable amount of people mention Angel, or Angels to me in their emails and letters. So many in fact it has caused me to consider writing this report in hopes of encouraging you with a knowledge that God is looking out for you, possibly with an Angel.

It was 1973 Connie and I had only been married one year when I got word that my grandfather had died and would be buried in two days, they wanted me there. It was during the time of the gas embargo, Water Gate and it seemed everything thing was going crazy in the country, we lived in Bethany, Texas. I remember Connie telling me that I may not be able to make to West Virginia simply because there was no gas stations open, and the few that were had very long lines, some folks were waiting two days to fill their tanks. We prayed about it and decided to trust God and make the trip, to make things even more difficult it was in the dead of winter and what I didn’t know was that from Tennessee to West Virginia there was a very heavy snow storm raging.

Within an hour I was on the road, kissing Connie and our new baby Rachel (who has now given us three lovely grandchildren). I remember it took me a couple hours just to find a gas station that would fill up my tank, and that in an area I know well, I remember thinking this is really going to be a test of faith. I had my doubts if I was going to make it.

It seemed that God was with me and the Ruach Ha Koddesh was going with and before me, every time I needed gas there was always a gas station that had some for me. That is until I got the bottom of the highest mountain in Tennessee in the middle of a snowstorm. There was a gas station at the bottom of the mountain, with a big sign that read, out of gas. My gas gauge said I had less than a 1/8 Th. of a tank, my faith about then read the same. It was snowing so hard you could hardly see where the road was. I got out of the car and went over and set on the steps of the station and begin to pray. It was ten minutes possibly more when I heard a word in my spirit clearly say TRUST ME. I knew I had heard from God or was it an Angel. One thing was certain when I stood up I knew I had no choice but to begin the journey up that very long dangerous and twisting road to the top of a very big mountain. Knowing also that I didn’t have enough gas to make it to the top and thinking that possibly the next service station could possibly be all the way down the other side.

I had just made it around the first big horseshoe turn when I saw him, he was an old man, standing beside a old green ford pickup truck, in his hands was a red gas can, the old type with the dome top that held only 5 gallons. I pulled up behind him and walked over to where he was standing there making no effort to pour the gas into his truck.

I started to tell him why I needed some of that gas but something inside of me said not to, just ask him for some gas, like many times in my life I was hearing from God and didn’t even know it at the time. But as usual I wasn’t 100% obedient instead I said to the old man, could I buy some of that gas from you I have a real emergency. With very little expression, just something that sort of resembled a grin he said to me, we don’t have any use for money but you can have the gas. I thanked him and poured the gas into my tank, it was a five-gallon tank but it seemed to take forever for it to empty into my car. As I started to drive away I rolled down my window and was gong to wave at him, but he wasn’t there, the truck wasn’t there. I stopped and got out and looked there was no tire tracks in the snow. It was then I knew I had met an Angel of God possibly my personal Angel who looked over me, for there was something inside of me that said I knew this old man all my life, his voice sounded so familiar. With Holy Ghost Goose bumps and feeling like I had a glancing shot at something heavenly I felt that I floated to the top of that mountain.

That five gallon tank of gas took me form Look Out Mountain in Tennessee to Morgantown, West Virginia, it was a miracle and one that started me knowing that we are watched by Angels and I had met mine.

It was in 1982 in Israel some of my Pastor friends across the US asked me to put together a tour through the Negev Desert with Camels, donkeys, sheep and goats and some Bedouins. I made arrangements with some Arabs in Jericho to meet with some Bedouins in the old refugee camp just outside of Jericho. Armed with instructions of how to find them I parked my car and begin walking through the maze of ruins. Suddenly I heard a voice, it was the same voice I heard speak to me in 1973 it was the old man, (My Angel) he said stop don’t go any further but turn to the right and then to the left. I did and when I arrived at the next intersection I looked and there were two Arabs ready to attack me with a steel pipe. I shouted at them running directly at them pointing my finger at them, they ran for dear life until I couldn’t see them any longer.

I could tell you of other times I know that I have heard from my Angel, but then I could tell you things that would make some think I was insane, but the truth is I know there are Angels and you need to know you are always watched. God loves you and if you are walking in obedience to His Calling on your life you will in some way, or one way or the other come in contact with your Angel too.

So you see I am not concerned about my safety or that of my family, for we have chose to serve God and accept His calling regardless of how difficult it may seem at times. When God sends us into the lions den, be it an Arab country or elsewhere, we will always go knowing that there is an Angle looking out for us. And over Him there is the Ruach Ha Koddesh making sure the Will of the Father is always done, regardless of our stumbling.

Yes we are in a war, but we also know an Angel, do you.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel, and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this ministry and your part in it. Shalom, jerry

Let me help. It is Necessary

Well they used to come in form of humans long before. Iam not sure if they do the same thing. But who know they can come has old lady or a begger or a stranger or prehaps even has animals. They are everywhere watching the mortals not necessary Guardian Angels.

I remember once in Germany, I had bought this book on how to summon angels. (I know... )... anyways...

One night I had this vision of an angel standing at the entrance of my bedroom. He was maybe 23, very muscular, shoulder-length curly blond hair. He had his arms crossed over his chest and his feet apart. He looked impatient, as if he was saying: "Yeah, what'd'you want???"

He had a frown on his face and his robe was grey. He had a grey rope around his waist and was barefoot. He had no wings. There was something about his attitude that I did not like and that is exactly what the book on how to summon them was silent about! THEIR NATURE!!!

Plus somehow he gave me the willies... Needless to say, that was the end of it!

Little children have angels. I believe they lose them at the age of accountability. They should not be prayed to nor be worshipped. They are just God's emissaries who take up our petitions to Heaven to the throne and they come down with an answer. They are the help God sends us when we need help.

What the New Age does about/with angels just confirm how much in error they are; they worshipped THE CREATED INSTEAD OF THE CREATOR. The job/position/status of angel is taken off its intended path. The New Agers have got it all wrong. And no wonder, they are still in darkness, and the light which they believe is the true spiritual light is just but a pale image of the light of God.

Until they receive a divine revelation as to who God is, they will still be worshipping in the wrong places...

How wonderful - I will read it more thoroughly ( instead of quickly skimming) once I have the toddlers under control!

WE MAKE A habit here of trying to do that. One stormy night - there was a german shepherd on the loose. Now - as you know - these dogs - as strangers - shouldn't be messed with. Plus he was limping and was in pain. But he wouldn't leave our back yard at all. So we couldn't send our Rottie/shepherd X down to do his business in case of fights ( dog is the biggest sookie you ever met). In the end as it got dark and after listening to the radio in case someone had reported him missing - (I think I've posted this here) I convinced hubby that the dog needed to be taken out of the rain. So we brought our dog inside, shut the ga te on the driveway so the stranger couldn't get out and hubby got him to come up to the balcony where our dog 'lives' and into the back door alcove. He gave him a blanket and that was that. LEFT THE balcony gate open for him to go home on his own if he wished. Well - shepherd was still there the next morning ( thank God for Firefox and it's restore session - the 3 year old just turned the computer off and I didn't want to type all this again). The dog was pushy - really wanted love! Hubby put a notice up at the shop where he works - and we rang the radio....both of us made reports to the radio about lost and found so the radio dude just rang me and said shall iI ring them back to give them your number. I said yes - buyt they have to promise to take him to the vet because his dew claws are in really bad shape and one is very swollen and sore....hubby won't let the dog go anywhere without them promising to take him to the vet.

They came round - hed managed to get over a 6 foot fence. He's not normally edgy in thunderstorms. They were taking him to the vet as requested. And this precious dog's name???? JOSEPH! I later said to honey - sorry I was so pushy about looking after him - but I kept remembering the story about the sojourning angels......and thought....maybe.....and hubby looked at me and said - yes - that crossed my mind as well.


Anne, see -now that's discerning! It's just so frustrating - sorting through mumbo jumbo...and with so much information not included in the bible - or made easy to access - well.....I just hate that the New Age takes something Godly and turns it into something icky, even if God did make the dark angels as well.

I have a 'thingy' - I like information. I like to know lots of stuff - even if it's peripheral to a main topic, it kind of makes me feel like I have a 'full story'.

umm.....off to the side.....I tried to look it up in the online dictionary...but didn't make it easier to explain. And it's not even in my Macquarie!

so - for example - you have a subject called The History of Jams and Conserves and their Types......a peripheral subject might be what you put them on - like toast, and it's history....wafer breads etc etc.

Peripheral means "from the corner of your eye" (NOT in your direct field of vision...)

Also something else: I do believe taht the angels (the unfallen ones; the ones who never sided with Satan) DO NOT WISH to be worshipped (see book of Revelation), and therefore the ones whom the New Agers errouneously think they are worshipping are the FALLEN ONES, the FALLEN angels; those crave worship and only those angels are attracted by the New Agers chants and "prayers".

Only since these fallen angels are in error, and at enmity with God, they CANNOT SPEAK THE TRUTH, and therefore POSE as "unfallen angels" (Satan disguises himself as an... ANGEL OF LIGHT)!

Lucifer can also oppose all Angel even the higher one such has Michael.

Holy Angels have not been hijacked by the New Age...Holy Angels are not New Age...fallen angels can present themselves, particularly lucifer, as an angel of light...these are the angels that the new agers worship...little do they know.

Holy Angels are Holy and there are more than one class of Angels...Depending on your circumstance you may have protection from warrior angels who report to Michael or ministering Angels that report to Gabriel....both are great allies in your daily walk and probably have intervened on your behalf many times...

In heaven there are Seraphim that have taken on the job that lucifer abidicated..these are the angels that cover the Lord which apparently is of the highest honor an angel can attain...staying close to the source!


We don't want the new age angels back...they are just lying beggardly spirits/fallen angels...they chose their sides long ago but haven't stopped their programs. And yes, they are angels as well!

Well - do a search on angels - and you will see what I mean. you have Gabriel, Michael and Uriel etc etc all on websites. Now when I say they've been hijacked - I'm not saying that these people are ALL saying that these angels have appeared to them - but when they mix the Holy Arch Angels up and add New Age-isms and other names for them - particularly relating to eastern philosophies - that's what I mean by hijacking. There is one woman - I'l see if I can find the site - who has lots of stuff about angels and what they do etc etc - and says she prays to God and so on -but most of her stuff is highly New Age - maybe she's being tricked - I don't know - it's likely....but do you get my drift? I'm not fooled by it. I do not pray to them. Why go through a Manager or Account Executive when you have a direct line to the President?

HOW many new christians get fooled? How many OLD christians get fooled?

A true angel sent from G-d would not want you to worship it, but would lead or out right tell you to worship G-d. I have had an angel tell me about Jesus, about his love and than feed me. Many here know my story on this, it was the first time I was able to hear about G-d's great love for me.

Angel, Or should we say their names, how they are and what they do, have been stolen, those that use the idea of angels, give their names to them inorder to sale the lie to others. But a little truth to the lie is what tricks others that don't know the hole truth. It's about the same as Idantity thaff. Someone can steel my name, and numbers, than go and rack up date in my name, but that doesn't mean they are me, nor do they have the right to me name. This is what I think by you terming it as Hijacking.

Oh, one other thing. Angels are not given forgiveness like we humans are. Salvation is as far as i have understanding of the word, only for us. When I first read the part of the post saying....can we win them back, I had thought that if you are asking can they be for given and when another chance to serve G-d again. I would say no! But that is as far as I can say with what I have read and am capible of understanding in the word.

Now, I was just thinking this an had to point it down.
