China threatens 'nuclear option' of dollar sales

The Chinese government has begun a concerted campaign of economic threats against the United States, hinting that it may liquidate its vast holding of US treasuries if Washington imposes trade sanctions to force a yuan revaluation.

Two officials at leading Communist Party bodies have given interviews in recent days warning - for the first time - that Beijing may use its $1.33 trillion (£658bn) of foreign reserves as a political weapon to counter pressure from the US Congress.

Shifts in Chinese policy are often announced through key think tanks and academies.

Described as China's "nuclear option" in the state media, such action could trigger a dollar crash at a time when the US currency is already breaking down through historic support levels.

It would also cause a spike in US bond yields, hammering the US housing market and perhaps tipping the economy into recession. It is estimated that China holds over $900bn in a mix of US bonds.

Xia Bin, finance chief at the Development Research Centre (which has cabinet rank), kicked off what now appears to be government policy with a comment last week that Beijing's foreign reserves should be used as a "bargaining chip" in talks with the US.

"Of course, China doesn't want any undesirable phenomenon in the global financial order," he added.

He Fan, an official at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, went even further today, letting it be known that Beijing had the power to set off a dollar collapse if it choose to do so.

"China has accumulated a large sum of US dollars. Such a big sum, of which a considerable portion is in US treasury bonds, contributes a great deal to maintaining the position of the dollar as a reserve currency. Russia, Switzerland, and several other countries have reduced the their dollar holdings.

"China is unlikely to follow suit as long as the yuan's exchange rate is stable against the dollar. The Chinese central bank will be forced to sell dollars once the yuan appreciated dramatically, which might lead to a mass depreciation of the dollar," he told China Daily.

The threats play into the presidential electoral campaign of Hillary Clinton, who has called for restrictive legislation to prevent America being "held hostage to economic decicions being made in Beijing, Shanghai, or Tokyo".

She said foreign control over 44pc of the US national debt had left America acutely vulnerable.

Simon Derrick, a currency strategist at the Bank of New York Mellon, said the comments were a message to the US Senate as Capitol Hill prepares legislation for the Autumn session.

"The words are alarming and unambiguous. This carries a clear political threat and could have very serious consequences at a time when the credit markets are already afraid of contagion from the subprime troubles," he said.

A bill drafted by a group of US senators, and backed by the Senate Finance Committee, calls for trade tariffs against Chinese goods as retaliation for alleged currency manipulation.

The yuan has appreciated 9pc against the dollar over the last two years under a crawling peg but it has failed to halt the rise of China's trade surplus, which reached $26.9bn in June.

Henry Paulson, the US Tresury Secretary, said any such sanctions would undermine American authority and "could trigger a global cycle of protectionist legislation".

Mr Paulson is a China expert from his days as head of Goldman Sachs. He has opted for a softer form of diplomacy, but appeared to win few concession from Beijing on a unscheduled trip to China last week aimed at calming the waters.

There is another thread about collapses and when I read it yesterday, I immeadiately thought of another collapse, the US economy. I didn't post anything because I didn't want to create fear and panic but after I prayed about it, I realized it is better to know that the storm is coming then to be caught unaware.

Do not fear the storms, but be at perfect peace, trust in the creator of your house that he has built the house on solid rock, well-able to withstand any storm. O to have the faith of a little child, a little child simply trusts that his father will provide everything he needs. Will not our heavenly Father do the same?

I couldn't find the article but a couple of days ago, I read about a financial advisor who was very upset, he was saying that the housing market was collapsing and the feds weren't doing about it. He said it was like "armageddon".

Subway flooding causes chaos for New York commuters

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Flooding in New York's subway lines ground the city's transport system to a halt on Wednesday, angering New Yorkers who are facing rail and utility fee hikes to support an aging infrastructure.


During the morning rush hour every subway line into Manhattan was affected by flooding after a fierce predawn storm sent roofs flying, toppled trees, submerged cars and inundated subway stations. Most subway services were still facing delays or cancellations as New Yorkers left the office to go home.

"Riders are stunned that the (subway) system is so vulnerable to rain," said Gene Russianoff, a spokesman for The Straphangers Campaign, a transit advocacy group. "It's not like we live in the Gobi Desert."

The weather caused one death when a woman's car, trapped by flooding, was struck by another vehicle, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said at a news conference.

Some services were restored by the afternoon, but those who made it to work faced the prospect of a hellish journey home. Mayor Michael Bloomberg warned that evening storms might cause more damage.

Gov. Eliot Spitzer gave the Metropolitan Transit Authority 30 days to review the breakdown and propose solutions. "It was a system failure," Spitzer said.

Some 14,000 customers in all five boroughs lost power at the storm's peak, utility Consolidated Edison said.

Parts of Brooklyn were hit hardest, with 40 houses and up to 200 cars sustaining serious damage, Bloomberg said. The National Weather Service was trying to determine whether a tornado had touched down.

7 MILLION SUBWAY RIDERS A DAY

None of the city's subway lines -- which carry about 7 million riders a day -- was running at full capacity in the morning rush. Several were shut down. "I don't know whether God has rush hour in mind when storms hit," Bloomberg said.

The ripple effects snarled the commute for those traveling

to the city from New Jersey and other areas.

Flights at LaGuardia and Newark airports experienced average weather delays of over an hour.

Many people chose to work at home after the city's transit authority urged New Yorkers to delay travel.

On crowded subway platforms, tempers frayed as sweaty commuters waited for trains to arrive, while above ground, packed buses and taxis sailed by would-be riders.

"The infrastructure in New York is just getting so old," said Fran Valerio, who was stuck on a subway between stations, comparing subway problems to last month's explosion of an 83-year-old steam pipe in Manhattan that killed one person.

The explosion hurt ConEd's reputation, which was already suffering after blackouts last summer and in 2003.

In July, the transit authority cited budget shortfalls in a proposal to boost fares in early 2008. ConEd filed a nearly $2 billion electricity rate increase proposal in May.

Russianoff said extreme weather and old equipment meant the transit authority needs to make infrastructure improvements.

The city's transit agency "is dealing with more frequent harsh weather, but the handwriting is on the wall," he said. "They're not blind to it, but they're sort of overwhelmed."

Powerful Earthquake Hits Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - A powerful earthquake under the Java Sea shook Indonesia's capital early Thursday, violently shaking tall buildings and panicking residents.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.4 and was centered about 66 miles east of Jakarta at a depth of 180 miles.

Because of the earthquake's depth, there was little risk of a tsunami, said Victor Sardina of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii.

Indonesia, the world's largest archipelago, is prone to seismic upheaval due to its location on the so-called Pacific "Ring of Fire," an arc of volcanos and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.

A massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami on Dec. 26, 2004, killed more than 131,000 people in Indonesia's Aceh province and left half a million homeless.

Up to a few months ago I was panicking about the paying the mortgage, bills etc, I was made redundant and Im earning half of what I used to and times are hard. Im getting threatening letters from the bank etc and nobody seems to want to help - For some reason I have come to a point where I dont care anymore and not getting myself ill with stress and worry. I think worse things are to come for everyone and my financial problems will fade into insignificance.

Earlier in this thread, someone posted an article about China possibly cashing in their bonds(?) on the dollar and our dollar collapsing. My older brother has been saying this has been a possibility for years, with a statistic that each American would owe China like, $20,000. I'm not sure if that's true or not but reading that article jogged my memory. Are there any threads on this board about this possibility, the timing, and what we're doing to be ready if it DOES happen?

WALL ST SINKS AS SUBPRIME TROUBLES SPREAD

I guess from this profound analysis that if the collapse has begun and that the rapture must happen before the collapse then the rapture must have happened yesterday.
Oh dear, I have been left behind. I better withdraw my money from the bank.

Or maybe the author means that the actual process of the collapse has begun and that the fullness of the collapse will not come until after the rapture. If that is the case then I don't care less about this article because I will be raptured away from all the trouble.

The message was OK but why mess it up with nonsensical comments about the rapture. If the economy collapses it won't be the first time. It collapsed in the Great depression too and the end of the world did not come and the rapture certainly did not come.

The quake struck as almost 200 workers were on duty at salmon farming pens in the fjord. Four of the missing are salmon industry laborers.

"No one should have been in the water that day," said a disconsolate Irma Ruiz, grandmother of Miguel Angel Silva, 22, one of two salmon farm watchmen buried in the rubble April 21 and presumed dead.

"Miguel Angel told us it was shaking so much they could hardly sit down to eat a meal in peace. But he kept working to bring something home for his family."

His uncle, a scuba diver for the salmon industry, also was on duty that day. He and co-workers scrambled into a boat and rode out the swells. The middle of the fjord was safer than the shallows and coast, which were inundated by landslides and battered by waves of almost 40 feet.



Mayor Catalan headed a relief committee that was delivering a radio transmitter to Evaristo Contreras, the family patriarch at Playa Blanca. The aid contingent headed out to Playa Blanca in a rented boat. It was the morning of April 21. A beaming Contreras, donning his trademark gaucho beret, came down to the dock.

"He told us the place had just gotten two big jolts," recalled Hugo Guerrero, a journalist who accompanied the aid mission.

The quake struck about 10 minutes later. Witnesses reported loud blasts, possibly land ripping from the mountains, and saw hillsides tumbling across a 4-mile strip of shoreline. A column of water rose like a giant geyser. Swells approached the coast.

"I realized death was near," said Catalan, who, along with the others, scrambled to higher ground.

Two of the 19 people in the aid mission, Francisco Figueroa and his 14-year-old daughter, Melissa, were caught in the surf and haven't been seen again.

The mayor said he last glimpsed Evaristo Contreras sprinting toward his cabin. His wife, Elsa Poblete Carrasco, was hastening to embrace her husband. A giant wave was closing in.

"Their fates were sealed at that point," Catalan said, "but seeing that act of love was overpowering."

The couple's bodies were recovered about half a mile away.

Julio Linay, Contreras' son-in-law, said he fought the waves and currents for more than two hours before reaching the coast, exhausted.

However, Linay's wife and 2-year-old son were lost; only the boy's body has been recovered.

"I don't know why I'm even alive," the shellshocked Linay said recently. "I ask myself: Is life worth living now?"

After the quake, angry residents greeted President Michelle Bachelet with Bronx cheers and black flags; the enraged mayor even ended up in jail for a spell on disorderly conduct charges.

Since the tragedy, the government's attitude has changed dramatically: No official is minimizing the danger now. Indeed, talk of Armageddon is everywhere here. More than a dozen emergency centers stocked with flashlights, blankets, boots and other supplies have been set up.

Bachelet has returned to Patagonia and unveiled with a massive aid package, including a new hospital, gymnasium and better roads and access. The government has pledged to spare no expense in early-warning systems and evacuation plans.

But Puerto Aisen's economy, dependent on salmon farming and tourism, may not recover quickly. The annual cruise ship stopovers seem likely to be put off. The salmon industry is making plans to pull out of the unstable fjord. No one knows how many of the 14 million young fish being fattened in the waterway died or escaped.

The big challenge for residents is learning to live with a perpetual threat that has altered this drowsy town forever.

"This is now an active seismic zone: People have to get used to it," said Salazar Campos, the psychologist at the hospital. "Once the residents of Puerto Aisen realize that, they will have a more realistic vision of how their lives will proceed from now on."

Note: We are living in very perilous times...I haven't slept well this week...the Lord has had me up and praying most every night. I know that when this starts something is up...I am watching and praying...I believe US is really in trouble due to Israel (moving em out of land yet again). I don't know where it is going to hit US, but I know the Lord has been telling me He is God there is none other and He is bringing down the idols....I think that he main idol of US is MONEY...period. So, it is not surprising me to see mess that is forming this week...nor does it surprise me to see Russia and China joining against US. It is not good ...but, the Lord will be with us and protect us...not all will make it through what is coming, but those will be with our Lord...batten down the hatches.

A couple of weeks ago, go to cemetery...way up in the mountains tucked far away from anything of man. The cemetary has been there for hundreds of years...some stones are no longer legible and some graves don't even have stones they are so old. But as we were looking and reading the stones, it was amazing to me....life spans were short....disease, wars, etc took the toll. Not one family did not have at least one infant child lost...most had several...young children lost...few grew up to maturity..of those that did many of those were lost in wars...it was very enlighting and showed me how the blood of our forefathers had made the way for our good life of the last few decades...but instead of using our resources and lives for our God, this country has become nothing but a den of thieves...chasing after more more more...GREED...the love of money is indeed the root of all evil....

What good we were set up to be able to do, but it mostly has become perverted and twisted by satan..pulling people into the downward spiral of self seeking, self serving...GREED...

Lord have mercy! But, Your will be done and kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven! Amen!

ECB releases €95 billion to fend off credit crunch

The European Central Bank (ECB) has poured around €95 billion into the eurozone banking system to calm market jitters following a credit crunch in the US market over high-risk mortgages.

For Thursday only, the the ECB opened its funds to banks in the 13-nation eurozone at a rate of 4 percent.


According to a report in Forbes news agency, some 49 banks took up the offer to various amounts, running in total to €94.8 billion - it is the biggest loan in the bank's history.

"The ECB notes that there are tensions in the euro money market notwithstanding the normal supply of aggregate euro liquidity," it said in a statement.

This is the first time the ECB has felt compelled to intervene in the markets since the days following the terrorist attacks in the US in September 2001.

The move was prompted after investors panicked about the potential losses from the US subprime sector after BNP Paribas, a major French bank, froze payments on three funds invested in the sector.

Ian Richards, European equity strategist at ABN Amro, told UK daily the Independent that the ECB's payout was a "reflection of the fact that the sub-prime issues will not be constrained to the US financial sector. As the financial sector across Europe shows its hand over the next weeks and months we will see where the exposure exists."

The ECB is acting as the lender of last resort. The scale of intervention we have seen today is quite large," he continued.

There has been speculation that the ECB may have acted because it has knowledge of problems that have still to come to light.

Earlier this month, the Financial Times reported Jochen Sanio, head of Germany's financial regulator, as having warned about the worst banking crisis facing Germany since 1931 - this followed a German government rescue of domestic lender IKB, involved in subprime investments.

Sub-prime mortgages are those loans made to borrowers who would not usually qualify for the normal market interest rates, often due to a poor credit history.

They are riskier both for the borrower and lender because of this combination of higher interest rates and weak credit history.

The US Federal Reserve also stepped in with emergency funds on Thursday. The crisis in the US started to escalate recently because of the collapse of many mortgage lenders in the subprime sector.

The moves on both sides of the Atlantic are a bid to try and stop a cash flow crunch in the sector from spreading to other parts of the economy.

In these last days, we glorify the rich and despise the poor.

We need to befriend the poor, that they may share their joy and inheritance and weep for the rich.

The word of God says:

That last statement, Sarah, I definitely agree with (as well as the others).

God will separate his sheep from the love of stuff. This includes the nice car, nice house, trinkets to fill it, etc. When the economy fails, and if I lose my job, these things will go to those who really own them--the bank, unless no one else is in the position to come to my doorstep and ask me to move.

Let's lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven. (Investing in ministries like Gospel for Asia (www.gfa.org), Transworld Radio (www.twr.org) or similar ministries preaching the gospel and loving those who have never heard of Jesus is a good way to get a little interest (usury) on what the Lord has given us.

You know what's really great?! The number of years we have left to endure before Christ returns are probably less than the total number of fingers I have on both hands. (I'm not missing any--just so you know.)

Aug. 9 (Bloomberg) -- BNP Paribas SA, France's biggest bank, halted withdrawals from three investment funds because it couldn't ``fairly'' value their holdings after U.S. subprime mortgage losses roiled credit markets.

The funds had about 1.6 billion euros ($2.2 billion) of assets on Aug. 7, after declining 20 percent in less than two weeks, spokesman Jonathan Mullen said today. The bank will stop calculating a net asset value for the funds, which have about a third of their money in subprime securities rated AA or higher.

BNP's announcement sent its shares down 3.4 percent, pulled the benchmark European stock index lower by 1.9 percent.....

ECB in €95bn move on market turmoil

The European Central Bank scrambled to head off a potential financial crisis on Thursday by making an emergency injection of €94.8bn ($131bn) worth of funds into the region’s money markets, after signs that liquidity was drying up.

The level of funds markedly exceeded the ECB’s only previous major intervention on the day after 9/11 when it lent €69bn followed by €40bn over subsequent days. Even more striking was its one-day pledge to meet 100 per cent of all funding requests from financial institutions.

This liquidity injection was designed to ensure that money markets continued to function and did not succumb to a credit freeze. The Federal Reserve followed suit although in far less dramatic fashion.

You may recall a prophecy attributed to David Wilkerson (not confirmed) that said a foreign country will default on its loan from the World Bank, then 2 weeks later Mexico will default on its loan from the US, and the next day there will be a run on the US banks and they will close their doors. We are warned to get our money out of the banks before Mexico defaults. If this takes place, it will be the fulfillment of Shelby's prophecy.

FROM DAVID WILKERSON'S PROPHETIC VISION:

It's about to happen---very soon, one nation, and I'm speaking prophetically--if I've ever heard anything from God in my life, I heard it-the nations,...Very soon a European or North African or Eastern nation is going to default on it's international loan and when that happens, within two weeks, Mexico is going to default. Mexico owes $100 billion ---80% of it to American banks---and here's what is going to happen: about two weeks after the first country goes bankrupt, (we're going to survive that, because most of that (money of the first country) is owed to European banks---German, Swiss and French banks---) but a second country is going to go down, probably Argentina or Brazil, and we'll kind of live that down and say: "Well, maybe it's not going to hurt," but two weeks after the first country goes down, Mexico's going to default on $100 billion.

And when the banks open the next day at 9 in the morning, $15 billion an hour is going to be withdrawn from our American banks---they're going to be running our banks---the Arabs---All the Latin American countries, they're going to be running our banks--and before the day is over, the U.S.A is going to have to declare a "bank holiday."

SIX MONTHES OF HORROR:

And we're going into six monthes of the worst hell America has ever seen---there's going to be chaos---not even the National Guard's going to be able to quiet it down---we're going to have to call out the whole U.S. Army.

Now I've had visions recently, for I've been in New York City and I was in Macy's in a vision, and I saw people walking around stunned because they couldn't get their money out of the bank.

Now I'm going to give you a word of advice, the first country goes bankrupt---I've documented this and I've got it sealed in an envelope, and I'm going to call all my friends and I'm telling you---this is the first time I've said it in a public meeting like this---but the first country that bellies up, you go get every dime you have---church get your money out of the bank--because there's going to be a bank holiday and you won't be able to get a dime for six monthes. Now, of course, there's going to be -restored, but the nation will never be like it is again.

There's going to be fearlike we've never known---judgment at the door. When I was at Macy's Dept. store in a vision and I watched people walking around stunned, they didn't know what to do, they didn't know what was happening; then a bunch of people walked into Macy's and suddenly went wild and began to steal and within an hour everybody---I saw the spirit of everybody in the store---they were robbing and stealing---they raped Macy's and destroyed five floors---Macy's was raped and ruined in a period of an hour or two.

That's just the beginning. Folks it's all in this book ( the bible) ---we've been warned and warned and warned---you can't tell me God hasn't warned us. You can't tell me God isn't saying something awesome here tonight in this church...we better get our prayer life straightened up, our lives straightened up, get rid of the idols, as Paul writes, and seeking the face of God in holiness or you're not going to be ready for what's coming. God's warning get ready and you'll not fear these things that come onto you and you'll start rejoicing, you'll not be afraid because your hands will be clean. You've been praying and God's building a wall of fire around you to keep you."

While praying this morning I was told there would be a domino effect -one thing would collapse another, which would collapse another,etc. There would be economic collapse,people would be out of work and food would be scarce.

The origin of all this was not revealed so I don't know if the economic collapse comes first, or an attack, or what.

Interbank trading in Europe has been halted, major German bank teetering on brink of outright failure (look to timebomb2000.com for details), this could collapse the entire Global Financial system.

And I'm leaving for Cape Breton for a week long camping trip with the family.....think i'll take my laptop along....!

LOL. You didn't offend me. I spoke truly; I'm fine as I type this (except, of course, for my worries over what this pending catastrophe could cause us). I may not be fine when this disaster sets in, because, really, how long can anyone survive without food and water? I can't, and neither can you. It's fortunate that you've been able to store emergency supplies. I wish we could. But you're not in the midst of a move, so you're able to set aside money for such things. My mother and I will have to wait till we're settled in our own place before we can even begin such a project, and whether we do depends on whether my mother deems it necessary and whether we can afford to.

Our stay on this earth had better be VERY short-lived once this chaos starts, or our deaths are going to start multiplying so greatly that there won't be enough room in the cemeteries to bury us all! I have prayed this before--and I prayed it again, yesterday--that if God is going to take us anyway, He'll do it in the Rapture.

You know, when I was talking to my mom today about some of the things that some are seeing and hearing from the Lord, I was telling my mom about the "domino effect" that you heard from the Lord. All of a sudden the Lord brought to my rememberance of the vision He had shown me early one morning. I was just waking up when He showed me a line of dominoes set up and His finger tipped over the first one and they all began to tumble down. I reminded my mom of this vision that I had. She said that it must be a confirmation. I think so too

I must have missed it, but in David Wilkerson's sermon he said something like "watch the next 4 weeks for economic troubles, and the next 2 weeks in particular." I didn't hear that myself, but someone wrote that on another message board.

So, this stock market slide, which is having tremendous shock waves all over the world, isn't going to "go away", it's only going to get worse and worse.

I want to go crawl under my bed and hide.

At the same time, the NY police confirmed to Reuters that additional information had been received that a dirty bomb may go off on Friday evening around 34th Street in Manhattan, where the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and Macy’s department store are located. The deployment of radiological sensors was increased on vehicles, boats and helicopters and vehicle checkpoints set up in Wall Street, lower Manhattan’s financial district and at bridges and tunnels.

The threat was picked up by DEBKAfile’s monitors from a rush of electronic chatter on al Qaeda sites Thursday, Aug. 8.

The al Qaeda communications accuse the Americans of the grave error of failing to take seriously the videotape released by the American al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gaddahn last week. “They will soon realize their mistake when American cities are hit by quality operations,” said one message. Another said the attacks would be carried out “by means of trucks loaded with radio-active material against America’s biggest city and financial nerve center.”

A third message mentioned New York, Los Angeles and Miami as targets. It drew the answer: “The attack, with Allah’s help, will cause an economic meltdown, many dead, and a financial crisis on a scale that compels the United States to pull its military forces out of many parts of the world, including Iraq, for lack of any other way of cutting down costs.”

There is also a message which speaks obliquely of the approaching attacks easing the heavy pressure America exerts on countries like Japan, Cuba and Venezuela.

DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources and monitors say there is no way of gauging for sure how serious these threats are, how real, or whether they are part of a war of nerves to give the Gaddahn tape extra mileage. But it is important to note that the exchange of messages took place over al Qaeda’s internal Internet sites and that they contained the threat of radioactive terror and specific American cities for the first time after a long silence on these subjects.

In addition, a growing number of clips has been disseminated of late over al Qaeda sites instructing the faithful how to design remote-controlled gliders, pack them with explosives and launch them against predetermined targets.

War Prophesied Between 2005 and 2010

So thus says the Lord. In a few years from now, you will be impaled on the brink of war. It will come with very little warning. I shall bring this war down upon you who think you can serve the world, and claim to serve Me, saith the Lord!! In the year of 2005 you will have yet to see this war. But it will then be but a few moments in time, by the Spirit, till you will see it. It is close, it is coming, and no one can say, “I will hold it back, I will put a stop to it.”



I, the Lord, have made a decision to judge the evil hearts of the people, and I will do it! So it will be, that I have now spoken the year in which I will hold it back to: but by the year 2010 it will have come upon you!! Now listen to this, that I will bring it down upon you in the following way. I will never leave My people unguarded concerning the horrors of the war, but they will come into a knowledge and into a peace about serving Me in this time. I will protect them with a supernatural protection from the throne of God. Now as this occurs, as the war progresses, and Russia takes heart to overthrow the entire world, I will put an end to it. I will see that the time will come that they, Russia, will loose this war, and be changed in their political agenda forever. But this will NOT occur until they have repented for their sins! They must repent before I will turn the tide of the war to them. I will bring them to the brink of disaster, to the brink of destruction, to the brink of all out loss, before they will turn with their whole heart to Me, says the Lord.



Return to One Faith of the Bible

So as these things occur, remember that I have foretold this in an accurate way. I have set up My prophets, My called ones that have been obedient to the Word of the Spirit, to the things of the Lord, to the ways of God––them have I called to take control of the situation of prophesying this prophecy to the world, to the USA, to all those who shall listen and obey the voice of God. As My people will turn their hearts to Me in a total way, they will receive more power from above then they could ever dream about.



This power will turn them into the holy ones that I have foretold in the “Ephesians book” of scripture, in the 4th chapter, in the 3rd to 15th verses. For I have said that they will walk in the faith, the one faith, not the divided faith, but the ONE faith!!! I am that faith, says the Lord God of Heaven. I am the one who you shall serve. Rise up into Christ the head!



Persecution Comes After the War

As My people turn to the one faith, there will then come a persecution like has never been before in this earth, on this planet, in this time of the end––for it will start at the time of the end of the war. Satan will have fought for the destruction of this planet by first trying to take over the world through satanic influences in the country of Russia. But it shall not be. This is one more situation to learn from. He, Satan, is trying to take over the world, to raise up a world kingdom of himself, the evil one.



So it shall be, that this will eventually occur, but not at this war. This war will be the war that will bring the sudden destruction, and realization that war is inevitable, and most dangerous, because it cannot be controlled in the earth. As the people stay away from Me, so shall they be destroyed by their own evil lusts for power; and their destruction shall be in their own mouth.



Great Fear of War Brings a Snare

Now as this war comes to an end, there will be another fear on this earth like has never been before. Yes, it has come before, but not in the way that it will come from, and to, this time. It will come from this earth’s system, Satan himself will go to those who will not walk in My ways, those who will not turn to Me. I said there will come a time of heart’s failing for fear. This will not be the time, but it will be a prelude to this time.



The fear of war, which will rise up at this time, will be so strong that every politician will be overcome by this fear, and will try to appease the people with any kind of peace agreement, no matter how ridiculous it may seem. They will sign anything, as long as they can use it to convince the people war will never happen again. This is the tool satan will use to bring about total world power in one being, in one place, says the Lord God.



Short Time of "Peace, Peace"

So as this will come to an end, the war years, there will come a new peace upon this earth for a very short time. This will be the true time of peace, peace. For they will shout it loud and long. They will shout it loud and long! They will shout it loud and long!! They will not only be afraid of the peace that is not to be, but they will be afraid of their own peace accords, because they will know deep down that their own peace accords will result in another world war!



This is not the end of all war, but rather the beginning of world war! It shall so be done, for their master, the devil, will see to it. Those who will walk with Me will see a new agreement in this earth. The agreement of true peace accord that will be by My power, says the Lord. My power. My power! Not this earth’s power, but by My power, says the Lord God of all!! End of prophecy

It is an unusual event which I announce to you.... you will think that you are mistaken yet time and again experience the same…. earthly tremors which are not caused by eruptions but always occur when the earth stands in a certain constellation to the stars…. so that the tremors can be anticipated on a regular basis and will not fail to happen.

They will be barely perceptible and hence disturb few people, yet the investigations by scientists will give rise to apprehensions of the worst kind. Furthermore, as the phenomena intensify they will also unsettle indifferent people once they realise the threat to earth from other heavenly bodies, because having left their path the latter are moving towards earth and time and again form a constellation which triggers these very effects.

In view of the approaching end people shall still be aroused from their calm, they shall remember their Creator and think about their own transience and the fact that they have no guarantee of passing into complete oblivion after their physical death; they have to be reminded of the end of their lives and also of the fate which will await them if they believe in the continuation of their soul’s life. The last days will exhibit so much that is contrary to nature, given that people’s activities and thoughts are already unnatural and result in consequences of the worst kind…. People presumptuously and beyond their authority undertake explorations of the universe ….

They disregard natural laws and yet, their actions and intentions will not be prevented, the repercussions, however, will fall back upon themselves. Nevertheless, the end moves ever closer, and if people are yet to be helped by taking stock of themselves and becoming aware of their great responsibility then an unusual activity on God’s part will also have to be shown to them, even though it is still up to their own free will to take notice of it and adjust accordingly.

And such unusual activity will be experienced by humanity in the forthcoming time. It will not be caused by people but takes place in the cosmos, in a region which is entirely subject to the Creator Himself, which now seemingly slides into lawlessness, and yet even this event is integral to the plan of returning the spirits, since it is capable of leading to a change in many people because it is too extraordinary…. but without compelling them to believe, for the unbelieving person will not even take the trouble to find an explanation since he lives utterly irresponsibly.

And people’s spiritual state in the last days has already sunk so low that even extraordinary natural events would not make them believe, consequently even these methods can still be used for the benefit of undecided people who need strong motives to seriously reflect on it and aim their will into the right direction. For whatever can still be done in order to keep the souls from the fate of a new banishment will be done by God, Who loves humanity and does not want them to go astray…. But every time He manifests Himself in the manner it was announced there will be fatalities, otherwise people would not allow themselves to be impressed and mutually accuse each other of self-deception…. For the effects will vary from place to place, and it will take scientists a certain length of time before they succeed in finding the right explanation, but then the signs will repeat themselves with ever increasing frequency and provide people with the evidence that something is happening in the cosmos which they cannot counteract themselves.

And thus they are also subject to the periodically recurring consequences until, finally, the huge natural event will take place which will demonstrate God’s might and greatness to people who believe in Him and who will also be protected in every adversity. Yet although people are repeatedly informed of an approaching end, although the preceding natural disasters are repeatedly pointed out to them…. they won’t believe nor change their way of life in the slightest, they do nothing to prepare themselves, they live in the world and love it, and look at the world as their God…. And therefore they will remain attached to matter when the end has come.... Yet everything is determined in the divine plan of Salvation and nothing will come to pass that has not already been taken into account since eternity….

And thus even this unnatural event will take place according to divine will, and the day for this is also predetermined and will be upheld…. Nevertheless, you shall be informed in advance so that your faith may be strengthened, because everything will come to pass as was said before and because you will ever more recognise the truth of what is conveyed to you from above …. For you ought to establish the connection between God and the world, with your fellow human beings who live without faith or thought…. Admittedly, you will only be able to speak about it after the initial occurrences have taken place since prior to that no-one will want to listen to you …. you will only find open ears and hearts after a tremor has happened which will make people wonder and only then should you speak, and then it will depend on people’s willingness as to what benefits they will draw from these events…. Amen

I was literally sick yesterday watching news of stock market...

I still have no peace about it...THIS IS BIG and gonna get BIGGER! Get cash out if you can and have it on hand. watch for banks going under(it has already started)...even possibly countries going bankrupt...NOT GOOD

I am feeling that the times they are a changing...that the judgment of our Lord is upon the nations for He in His mercy is bringing in the harvest (He knows exactly what it takes to turn these hardened hearts of today)....HARD TIMES!!! Very, very HARD times...and not for short term. I am watching Fox news and want to throw up. They have a line up of experts trying to tell America it is all ok....but, it is not this time. This is of our Lord! IDOLATRY....and all built of human hands is shaking, shaking...shaking to all come tumbling down....for only that built on the ROCK and of the unshakeable Kingdom will stand.....HARD HARD TIMES FOR THE WORLD!

Ehud Olmert met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas about a future Palestinian state; Olmert said he and Abbas discussed establishing strong foundations for a Palestinian state.

"We decided to increase contacts to advance understandings and reach a working model that will allow progress toward establishing a Palestinian state," Olmert said.

On Tuesday, Olmert had 3,000 military personnel move into Hebron and force two families out of their home. They also destroyed a synagogue. Within 24 hours of the Hebron action, Israeli Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz OK'd a police request to investigate Prime Minister Olmert — under warning in connection with the Bank Leumi affair, Channel 10 reported Wednesday.

The day after the "U.S.-encouraged" evacuation of Hebron and other unauthorized settlements, New York City was hit with torrential rains and a tornado packing 135-mph winds.

Also on the same day, a news report stated the Chinese government has begun a concerted campaign of economic threats against the United States, hinting that it may liquidate its vast holding of U.S. treasuries if Washington imposes trade sanctions to force a yuan revaluation.

Wall Street plunged again Thursday after a French bank said it is freezing three funds that invested in U.S. subprime mortgages because it was unable to properly value their assets. The Dow Jones Industrials extended its series of triple-digit swings, this time falling more than 380 points. The Federal Reserve added a larger-than-normal $24 billion in temporary reserves to the U.S. banking system. The European Central Bank's loan of more than $130 billion in overnight funds to banks at a low rate of 4 percent was intended to calm investors.

Feds pump in $38B more this very day (Friday)!!!

HERE'S A BROADER OVERVIEW OF THE CRASH IN WORLD MARKETS

Personally, I think this entire crash began in the United States with greedy bankers and lenders, who offered these incredibly cheap loans on ARMS, to people with bad credit and NO documentation of their financial ability to make their payments. Now that the interest rates are rising, people can't make their payments and are losing their homes. The market bubble is collapsing, panic is setting in worldwide.

This reminds me of Chicken Little.

I smell NEW WORLD ORDER manipulation all over this. I have nothing to base this on other than my own "gut feeling" (like Chertoff), but I believe strongly that this is going to lead to economic chaos worldwide, one more set-up for the antichrist to come in and put in place the one-world government and currency.

How can you tell the difference between a boom and a bubble?

Stock markets around the world have been falling sharply on fears of a credit crunch that could affect the financial sector. What is causing the fall, and how will it affect the ordinary individual?

What has been happening to the world's stock markets?

The value of the world's major companies has taken a tumble as the world's stock markets have plunged in the past two days - one of several such sharp declines in the past few months.

The move has wiped billions of dollars off the value of shares owned by individuals and institutions such as pension funds and insurance companies.

This most recent fall started when a French bank, BNP, said it would freeze three investment funds because it could no longer accurately measure their value.

Fears that more undisclosed bad debts would surface led other banks to cut back on their everyday lending to one another.

That led the European Central Bank to step in and boost the amount of money in the financial system.

Markets fell around the world because they were nervous that the problems are not just confined to French banks, but are more widespread in the financial sector.

What are the markets worried about?

The underlying fear relates to the so-called sub-prime mortgage market in the US.

In the past five years, extraordinarily low interest rates in the US have led banks and other financial institutions to lend substantial sums of money to people with poor or no credit histories.

The idea was that, even if they eventually couldn't pay, the banks could recoup any losses by repossessing and reselling the houses - and in any case, house price rises would cushion the blow.

In the most extreme cases, mortgage brokers were handing out what came to be known as "Ninja" loans, to people with no income, no job and no assets.

Often the loans were "no-doc", where the borrower did not have to provide proof of how much they earned. Recent research suggests that in many if not most of these, borrowers (or their brokers) lied about their income.

But now as interest rates have risen, so have repossessions. The US housing market has collapsed, and the banks find themselves saddled with a lot of bad debts.

My intent was to show what happens to the USA after our "leaders" push (they say encourage) Israel to make concessions or give up their God-given land...

I agree with you about the greed... however, let's include "investors" who flipped houses like there was no tomorrow, and homeowners who thought their homes were an ATM. The real culprit here was the easy credit and artificially low interest rates brought to you by the Federal Reserve, which BTW is not a gov't entity (whole 'nother story here).

Are any of you that are familiar with Chuck Youngbrandt's prophetic 3-year scenario of events to befall America wondering if New Orleans will be struck by another, more devestating hurricane? Except this time, it would really be in September? Of course his prophecies talk of a St. Louis earthquake on the 19th of the same month in whatever year the events fall in. If these actually take place, Chuck's following events do not bode well for America. May the Lord triumph in mercy.
