That was exactly what I thought too. Glad he's back. I'm awfully attached to my critters and would hate to lose one.

I'm sure he'd say, "mama, some coyotes tried to eat me!" laugh.gif

That's fantastic news! Let's give thanks and praise to the Lord.

A week and a half is a long time for a dog on his own; any idea what might have happened to him in that time?

He was spotted around the lake, and some teens picked him up and put in a boat, and took him to the dock. They put a rope around him, he got angry because he was treated a little roughly, he escaped. He swam across the lake, then some people tried to chase him in a boat but he out swam the boat. When he came back, he had a piece of ear missing, cuts on his legs, bite marks on his chest. It looked like a couple of coyotes attacked him. He must have traveled 40 miles or more. He must have got disoriented, and just walked the wrong direction, once he was at the dock, he recongnized where he was because we take him there all the time so he can ride with us on the boat. He had a bad limp and big lumpy scabs from whatever that attacked him. Since he has always been a good hunter of rodents he must have kept himself fed because he didn't loose much weight. He has since gained 5 pounds and has fully recovered.
