I am going to look at all the types and shadows in the history of Israel from Egypt into the Promised Land.
Now I know many do not agree with my view of the man-child in Rev 12, but then just read over it and ignore it. I am not going fight , but I am really asking the Lord to guide us that we can have more understanding of all the imagery that He gives in the piece of history.
C
C
We have to at least find the following in this history. We have to find an example of being lost, and then being saved. We have to see baptism with water and Holy Spirit. We have to see how tribulation follows salvation and learn from their mistakes and that which they did right. We must see the man-child, we must see how we enter God's presence, we must see victory through Jesus Christ, and we will see death to self. We must also see how to overcome and stand on the promises of God and many more types and shadows.

I know this is old news to some, but we also have new brothers and sisters on this forum, besides its great to look at this again smile.gif

So here we find Israel in Egypt. (Egypt is a type of unsaved, worldly and also speaks of the flesh) We will see later that Egypt is all of those. Not only is it the place of the unsaved , but it also speaks of the "flesh" that part in us that battles against God and His ways. The Bible tells us that, that is not a great place to be. Its hard and we suffer without God. Pharaoh (a type of Satan) is a hard taskmaster. He hates the people of God:

Exo 1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. (they hated them)
Exo 1:13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:
Exo 1:14 and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field, (a type and shadow speaking of the world) all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigor.

The second type and shadow of this is that this is also a picture of the church as it was also a picture of the Jews when Jesus came. During such periods of hardship, God always raises up a man-child/Moses/ Jesus for His people. The name Moses means "drawing out of the water" (its a type for those who are the Word. Water=Word in the Bible. Moses was to become the "mouth of the Lord" Later Jesus was the "Word that became flesh" and the man-child will be "Word that became flesh" as God's people learn to speak only the Word again). Emmanuel....God with us . Christ in us, the hope of glory )

Moses killed the Egyptian (a type of killing the "old man, the self, the ego)Exo 2:12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he smote the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. (The old sin man is now buried and gone)

Its interesting that it was two "brothers" that accused Moses. How come it is always the religious people that attack?Exo 2:13 And he went out the second day, and, behold, two men of the Hebrews were striving together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?
Exo 2:14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? Thinkest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely the thing is known.

Even today if we genuinely pursue death to self, you will see religious people rise up against you.

more later.......................

C
Remember Moses was born out of Israel (like Jesus) and also the man-child is born out of spiritual Israel

Now Moses is also a type of Jesus, who killed the Egyptian (the old man) on the cross. He killed it in Egypt (the world) and then he becomes the groom of one of the seven daughters (seven churches) the favoured Philadelphia Church (Ex.2:12,21).
Here is a quote that lifts out some of the types and shadows:
QUOTE
Jesus as the first New Testament man-child will be met in the kingdom by the second man-child of the end time. In the same way Moses, as the first man-child, was met many years later in the mountain of God by Aaron (Ex.4:27), which represents the first throne experience of the second man-child in the end time. That Moses typified Jesus as God to speak through Aaron is clear. (Ex.4:16) And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people; and it shall come to pass, that he shall be to thee a mouth, and thou shalt be to him as God. … (7:1) And Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Aaron as the second man-child received his authority and instructions from Christ on that mountain and returned to save the woman in Egypt (Ex.4:28). Notice Aaron actually does the speaking and the signs in Egypt but behind him is Moses, as Jesus, giving authority. (30) [And Aaron spake all the words which Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people. The chain of authority to bring the woman out of the world and through the wilderness is from the Father to Jesus to the end time man-child of Revelation 12.
LINK FOR MORE STUDY

One thing we see is that types and shadows are overlapping many times So it depends what the Holy Spirit is lifting out at the time of study !

If the man-child/Bride/First fruits (its all the same thing) do not make sense: do not worry. Understanding will come as the Holy Spirit allows it.

I am not going to get all the types and shadows, so please help me if you see that I am missing some .

Here is a beautiful one of Moses as the Bride/man-child , the bringer of the Word (water) Look how the shepherds (the pastors) drove away the seven daughters (churches) from the water (Word) at the well and how Moses (drawn from the water. Word) helps the woman .

Exo 2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
Exo 2:17 And the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. Perfect picture of the man child.

Rev 12:6 And the woman(church) fled into the wilderness,( a place of trial) where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they (the manchild/Bride) may nourish her(with the pure Word) a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (this is about to happen now)

Exo 2:21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
Exo 2:22 And she bare a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, I have been a sojourner in a foreign land
.Psa 119:19 I am a sojourner in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me.

We are all sojourners in the earth. Our kingdom is not from here.

Now if we look back , we see that the Israelites were having a hard time still and Moses got instructions from God to go back to them.
Next we are going to look at how Israel makes two types: Us as an individual and the church as a whole.

Yeah, and sometimes (many times) even born again fight you for nothing.. dry.gif sleep.gif sad.gif mad.gif
Why don't they pick on Satan, the real enemy?

What a waste of energy and time!

Moses, draw out of the water; it reminds me of Noah being protected FROM THE WATERS OF JUDGEMENT... laugh.gif

It is scriptural that we will be "picked on" :)Mat 13:21 yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.

Try and follow only the Word and you will be persecuted by the religious people of your day.

Noah is also full of types and shadows, we might get to him later, if the Lord permits.

Exo 3:7 And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
Exo 3:8 and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Here I see a beautiful type of Jesus coming down to save us all. He has heard out cry and came down:Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 to proclaim the year of Jehovah's favor,

Amazing and beautiful.

Exo 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Jehovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
Exo 6:7 and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah your God, who bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
Exo 6:8 And I will bring you in unto the land which I sware to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for a heritage: I am Jehovah.

Now if we look at this passage, we can wee WHO WILL do all this. JEHOVAH our God has and will do all the " I WILL's" for us.
Now if we read this with spiritual eyes and look at us today, How can we relate to that in the New Covenant?
What was God telling Moses to tell Israel (who is a type and shadow of all believers) He told Moses : tell them I WILL do all this for you.
What was required of Israel? Did they have to fight the Egyptians? Did they have to fight for their freedom
from the curse of the Egyptians? (Remember that Egypt is the type and shadow of living under the curse: sickness, need and lack, oppression, bondage to sin etc) Can you see how Jesus has fulfilled the type and shadow by coming to do the "I WILL" and setting us free by becoming the curse?

What will we do if we believe that GOD WILL (like He promises)

We will REST and do nothing. We will carry on with our life as if we believe it . We would not by our actions show anything else, we would not by our words talk anything else but the truth. What is the truth?
God said : I WILL and by now we know that HE HAS already done this . Jesus died on the cross and said: It is finished

What was finished?

His work was "finished", He achieved His goal, we were redeemed (bought free from slavery, He handed over the ransom )
What does a slave do when he is freed?
He walks out of bondage, because he is free. Would he again submit to his cruel ex-master? No, he will say to him. " Sorry, I cannot be like I was before, because as you know I am free now, I have the papers (Word of God) to prove it"Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, Whom he hath redeemed (past tense) from the hand of the adversary,

It is called God's rest when we move into this "done work of God". Next post will be about that.

C
OK, to carry on where I left off: The rest of God.
We have to look at Hebrews now, to find out about the rest (this rest was also promised to Israel and as we shall see, they failed to enter it. It is possible for us to also fail )

Heb 3:13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called To-day; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin:
Heb 3:14 for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:

(Can you see the condition here? IF and UNTO the end)

Heb 3:15 while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Heb 3:16 For who, when they heard, did provoke? nay, did not all they that came out of Egypt by Moses?

Heb 3:17 And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
Heb 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient?
Heb 3:19 And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

So here is the reason that will keep believers out of the rest: unbelief

Heb 4:1 Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.

So we can come short of the promise of the rest

Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they (just like Israel had): but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard.

So here we can see that God is really using the picture of Israel to teach the believer of today about faith.

So what do we have to look out for: unbelief

Before I go on: I want you to see something. The problem of Israel was not that they did not believe IN God, it was that they did not BELIEVE God , in that they doubted Him concerning His promises.

Today , people think it is enough to believe IN God and His Son, but that is not what the Bible teaches us. We have to believe God as well We have to believe the promises in His Word and not only believe them , but WALK in that truth as well.

I am going to try and show you through this study, what God has been showing me for the past year about His Word and the promises and how to walk in them, so you can see the power of God move into your life as well.
The rest is available to all believers of the Word. The others cannot enter. Religious people cannot enter. Only believers in the Word (Jesus ) can enter>Heb 4:3 For we who have believed (this would be believing in the DONE works of God, His promises prove that) do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. (Again here God points to the done works of God: God finished His works from the foundation of the world, by faith: He actually called it all done, before they were done. Here is the scripture to prove it.
Rom 4:17 ................... and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.
So God called it all DONE before it was done, even from the beginning.

The very important thing about this is that we are called to do the same. We can also call His promises DONE before we see them come to pass and in that way: we enter into the rest of God

C
OK, back to more types and shadow in the Israel story:

I am jumping to the passover: .
Exo 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.
Exo 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof.
Exo 12:10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

We all know that this is a type and shadow of Jesus and His death and sacrifice for us. Unleavened bread. It reminds us of where Jesus warns His disciples of the leaven of the Pharisees:Mat 16:6 And Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
...........................................................................................................................................................................Mat 16:12 Then understood they that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Remember that they taught that righteousness comes by keeping the LAW. Jesus came to bring us GRACE. Now if you look at the previous post, you will see REST is the subject.

So here in the story of Israel, God is already teaching us about GRACE. We forbids the leaven (WORKS)

Exo 12:15 Seven days (remember that we are entering the "seventh day now, its 6000 years after Adam and we have just started the seventh day) shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
(Interesting that GRACE has been there from the beginning and available to all. Abraham got that right, even way back before the LAW )Exo 12:16 And in the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no manner of work shall be done in them,(because GRACE is not the works of men but it is a gift of God) save that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you. (We are to eat, the unleavened Bread: the pure Word of God daily)
Now REST comes through GRACE and obviously not through WORKS of MEN.

Next: more about the Lamb and what and why to eat...

Oh LORD speak to us all here, we come before you and ask for strength and compassion, to pray for the our enemies that come against you and your children. We pray for strength in the coming time...to a surrendering spirit always to walk with you. How can we LORD run from you? I care never to, I only want to walk with you all the days of my life. Better dear Heavenly Father of the Beginning and the End is ONE day in your house than a thousand elsewheres.

The LORD you lead us to your WORD.

Joel 2:11

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army; for HIS CAMP is GREAT; for he is STRONG that executeth HIS WORD: for the day of the LORD is GREAT and very Terrible; and who CAN ABIDE IT?

12. Therefore also now, saith the LORD, TURN ye EVEN TO ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

13. And REND YOUR HEART, and not your garments, and TURN UNTO THE LORD your GOD: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat ofering and a drink offering unto the LORD your GOD?

15. BLOW THE TRUMPET in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breast; let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and bride out of her closet.

17. Letthe preists, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, SPARE thy people, O LORD and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathern should rule over them; wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

18. THEN WILL THE LORD BE JEALOUS FOR HIS LAND, and pity his people.

19. Yea, the LORD will ANSWER and say unto this people, BEHOLD< I WILL SEND YOU CORN, and WINE, and OIL, and ye shall be satisfied therewith : and no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20. But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21. FEAR NOT, O LAND; be glad and rejoice; for the LORD WILL DO GREAT THINGS.

22. Be not afraid, ye beast of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the FIG TREE AND THE VINE DO YIELD THEIR STRENGTH.

I was given the WORD....YIELD...God's blessings this day and always to you C...what a wonderful word from our LORD.

I was given the WORD....YIELD...God's blessings this day and always to you C...what a wonderful word from our LORD.

Amen, that is what we all must to: Yield to His Word . Praise God. smile.gif

..........................
Now lets look at what we must eat of the Lamb (the Word of God)
Exo 12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof.
1) The head:1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Now this only happens when we have placed the Word in our hearts. When we have the Word on our hearts , it changes our MINDS. We are then Rom 12:2 .............. but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,...................... This can ONLY happen by washing out the old thoughts with the Word and allowing God to give us His new way of thinking which of course is "thinking the way the Word of God is"

Did you know that this scripture: Mat 10:32 Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. actually means to "speak the same as". In other words, we are to "speak the same as Jesus (Word) before men, and then Jesus will "speak the same as" us before the Father. So if we say: I am healed, because I believe the Bible when God says: through His stripes you WERE healed" Then we are agreeing "speaking the same as" Jesus and Jesus can go to the Father and say "Father, so-an-so is speaking the same as I , let it be done to them according to their faith"

So it is very important that we learn how to agree with God , because every word that comes out of our mouth is powerful and it will or will not bring judgement on us.Jas 1:26 If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain.

Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is a restless evil, it is full of deadly poison.
Only God can tame the tongue.

I have to jump ahead now a bit, because this is described by another later type and shadow: Much later when Israel comes to Marah, the bitter water. Now look: water =word or words. So we as humans speak bitter words and here is a perfect picture of it PLUS the cure for it. Look : God tells Moses to cast a tree (the cross) into the bitter water (our evil words) to make it sweet !

Exo 15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
Exo 15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
Exo 15:25 An he cried unto Jehovah; And Jehovah showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them;
Exo 15:26 and he said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his eyes, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians: for I am Jehovah that healeth thee

Can you see that a request for obedience comes right after the tongue is tamed (because now it is possible to be obedient)Jas 3:2 For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.
Wow, so God is saying that if we believe that He can tame the tongue for us, that He will tame it (we cast the tree into the water by faith.we believe that it IS DONE ) then he says that if we stumble not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the WHOLE body.
That is some statement !!! and it is possible , otherwise God would not have put it there !

I am going to stop here, before going to the legs and inward parts

blessings

I want to jump ahead again a little bit, to another type and shadow, that is later when Joshua has captured the five kings and ...........

Jos 10:16 And these five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.
Jos 10:17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.
Jos 10:18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones unto the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to keep them:
Jos 10:19 but stay not ye; pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for Jehovah your God hath delivered them into your hand.

The land (promised land) that we have to conquer is our own body. (we do that by standing on the promises of the promise (d) land ) In order to be able to stand on the promises successfully, we have to have our five kings (5 senses) trapped in the cave and roll stones (the Word of God: the promises) in front of the cave, so they cannot come out and speak or return to their cities to rule over us.
Our senses are our enemies as far as the promises are concerned. They tell us the opposite of the promises and thus they try and take us away from the Word of God.

If you listen to "how you feel" you will not listen to the Word of God.

Israel had victory here because the kings were in the cave.

Look:Jos 10:20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, and the remnant which remained of them had entered into the fortified cities,
Jos 10:21 that all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

Now look, Joshua brings the five "senses" out and does not allow them to speak, he has the people put their feet on their necks , so they cannot SPEAK.

Jos 10:24 And it came to pass, when they brought forth those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the chiefs of the men of war that went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

You and I: we are modern day spiritual Israel and we too have to put our feet on the necks of our enemies. We have to get the 5 senses to not speak against the Word of God.

HOW?

Jos 10:25 And Joshua (Jesus) said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage: for thus shall Jehovah do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

Jos 10:26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and put them to death, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

A tree = the cross

Jesus died and took those kings to the cross with Him already (if you believe that, He will do it for you)

Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is a restless evil, it is full of deadly poison. Rom 7:24 Wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. ..................

The Bible teaches that if we have faith in the what Jesus has done on the cross for us, He will tame the tongue for us, so we can walk before Him and not stumble:Jas 3:2 For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.

Do you want to overcome the flesh?
Is there something you battle with?

Learn to speak only the Word of God and allow not the 5 kings to rule over your body. Out no trust in the flesh, but only speak and trust the Word of God.

Jos 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, to you have I given it, as I spake unto Moses.

On what do YOU stand?
Are you taking possession of your land?
Are you looking at what the five kings are telling you? or are you looking at the cross and the promises of God?

I will quickly give you another example of where the 5 kings were washed and smoothed by the Word.

1Sa 17:40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in the shepherd's bag which he had, even in his wallet; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

David took five stones out of the brook (water=Word)
David looked not at the giant with his senses, but through the eyes of the spirit:

1Sa 17:37 And David said, Jehovah that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and Jehovah shall be with thee.

Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Num 13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.
Num 13:33 And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Are you a David, or are you with the men who brought an evil report about the giants in the land (your body) Do you like David, with your senses shaped by the Word of God, take on the giants of your land?

Do you by the power of the sword of the Spirit, cut off their heads and feed them to the birds?

1Sa 17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to thee in the name of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
"Name" in Greek and Hebrew means :Character and authority.

1Sa 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead; and the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell upon his face to the earth.

Here the "stone" represents again the Word of God (the promises) notice (if you read the whole story) that David has been speaking about God all the time and that it is GOD that will do all this and the it is GOD that has done all the victories in Davids' life until now.

be blesses and conquer

Exo 13:6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Jehovah. Exo 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee, in all thy borders.

Here we are looking at the seven thousand year period that God gave us in this planet, during which we are to only listen to His unleavened Word. In the seventh year (where we are now) there shall be a feast. The feast of the unleavened Bread (the Wedding Feast) during the tribulation, where the man child in Rev 12 feeds the woman (church) in the desert/wilderness/Tribulation.

Please look here at who will nourish her. THEY. Its they because the man child/ bride is a group out of the church.Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart;
Deu 6:7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up
See? We are to be people of the WORD. Not mixed with words of men. Just the Word of God (Bible), actually : the promises of God. THAT is our inheritance.

Israel was the letter and we are the people of the spirit
They had a city called Jerusalem
We have a spiritual city called Jerusalem.
They carried the Ark with the presence of the Lord
We have Christ in us, in this body of flesh.
They were physical Israel
We are spiritual Israel.
They had the Law
We have Jesus Christ.

there are many more examples that we are going to look at.

I am going to jump to Genesis for a bit. I want to show you something that will hopefully set some people free. We have always been taught that we (the church) is God's second choice (plan B )and the Israel was His first love.
I am going to show you through three examples that this is not true.

First you have to understand that what the Bible tells us about the Old Testament, that is was written for us (NT) 1Co 10:11 Now these things happened unto them by way of example; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come. Well, that is clear. Its and example for those at the end of the ages (ages, plural...Paul was standing in one such an age and we are standing in another such an "end of the age" )

Before judging what I am saying, please read for yourself and let the Spirit guide you. See with your spiritual eyes, because you are a member of the spiritual people of God (not the letter)

The Bible tells us that Israel is the letter (LAW people) and we are the spirit people.
Everything that happened to Israel in the letter, we have a spiritual example for.
Israel lived the physical letter of history, so God's could teach His spiritual people (us)

That said: God gave us even a piece of history that shows us that part. Now pray that the Lord will show you this:

QUOTE
Look at Gen 29 : and see if you can see the spiritual lesson here:
Gen 29:10 And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.
Gen 29:11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.

QUOTE
Gen 29:16 And Laban had two daughters. The name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
Gen 29:17 And Leah's eyes were tender. (WEAK) But Rachel was beautiful and well favored. (So Leah was not beautiful, nor well favoured)

Gen 29:18 And Jacob loved Rachel. And he said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
Gen 29:19 And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man. Abide with me.
Gen 29:20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel. And they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.
Gen 29:21 And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
Gen 29:22 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
Gen 29:23 And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him. And he went in unto her.
Gen 29:24 And Laban gave Zilpah his handmaid unto his daughter Leah for a handmaid.
Gen 29:25 And it came to pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? Did not I serve with thee for Rachel? Wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?
Gen 29:26 And Laban said, It is not so done in our place, to give the younger before the first-born.
Gen 29:27 Fulfil the week of this one, and we will give thee the other also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
Gen 29:28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week. And he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife. Gen 29:29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her handmaid.
Gen 29:30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

Now here is another witness, because the Bible teaches us that we must have at least two witnesses to establish anything.

QUOTE

Gen 48:14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the first-born. Gen 48:15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who hath fed me all my life long unto this day,
Gen 48:16 the angel who hath redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
Gen 48:17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.
Gen 48:18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father; for this is the first-born; put thy right hand upon his head.
Gen 48:19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: howbeit his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. (That would be the Gentiles)

Now another one, where we see that the SECOND born was loved by God. I know this is making the hair of some stand on edge, but its in the Scriptures and not my own idea.

QUOTE
QUOTE
Gen 25:26 And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau's heel. And his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Gen 25:29 And Jacob boiled pottage. And Esau came in from the field, and he was faint.
Gen 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage. For I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.
Gen 25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me first thy birthright.
Gen 25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die. And what profit shall the birthright do to me?
Gen 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me first. And he sware unto him. And he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

QUOTE
...............For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:
Rom 9:7 neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Rom 9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.

Who are God's children according to Scripture (not oppinions).... it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.

Remember Leah's eyes were weak? Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

What does it say about the eyes of the bride?Son 4:1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are as doves behind thy veil. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, That lie along the side of mount Gilead.
She sees in the Spirit.Mat 3:16 ............. the Spirit of God descending as a dove,
Notice her eyes ARE as doves.Gen 29:18 And Jacob loved Rachel. where Jacob is a type of Jesus.

Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel
what does Israel mean?
yiśrâ'êl
yis-raw-ale'
From H8280 and H410; he will rule as God; (WHO do we know that rules as God?)

So you have always been first in the heart of God. The church is His love and we can only come to God through Jesus Christ. No other way is there, but Jesus. He evenwent to the OT people in the bossom of Abraham to preach the gospel to them and then He took them out to Paradise with Him.Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 (Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?)

So they are Christians today as well. They accepted the gospel that Jesus preached to them.

The church has always been God's plan.

Later we can look at the "handmaidens" that both of these ladies had
