Hello everyone,
I am writing this as a response to a friend, but since I've been out of touch I'm copying it here as well. I'm so busy these days, it is unreal. My Dad has deteriorated in his health a lot in the last 3 months. Cindy takes care of him full time, though over the last week he's had great improvement.
I'm selling spray foam insulation these days. It is finally paying off though it is long hours. I work up till 1:30 am some nights, but usually cut it off around midnight.
I co-host a 1 hour broadcast on Saturdays at 1:00 in the afternoon. You can listen online at wsho.com if you care to. I may not be at the studio this saturday, as I am speaking at a funeral. I'll try to make it though. I also have a Tues night bible study with an Indian pastor and his family and a few others. Cindy and I are hosting the family from Northern India who are here to raise funds to pay off their church mortgage and start an orphanage. I also raise funds for other orphanages in India and Africa as well, and an old age home in India. There's a missionary in Chile that we work with as well. We're a small operation with few donors, but it is making a difference in the lives of about 350 souls so far.
I also am helping with a rehabilitation home ministry that is an outreach of our local church. We periodically do street ministry also. Does anybody want to get involved in an unknown ministry that is making a real difference for God's Kingdom?
I'm also involved in a coming day of prayer and fasting at the New Orleans Convention Center. It is where there was so much suffering in the aftermath of Katrina. If you remember, people died there from the heat and gangsters were in charge there, with reports of murder and rape and robbery and extortion there. The event is called 'The New Orleans Gathering' and it will be on Saturday, Sept 22, which is the Day of Atonement. It will be 8 hours of fasting and prayer for God to bring revival to our region and our nation. No individual ministry or band will be promoted. It is all about Jesus. You can go to neworleansgathering.org to see the details and vision. We hope to draw at least 10,000 saints who will fast and pray as one for God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon those there and spark true revival which will spread like wildfire. We hope to draw from far and near.
Anyway that is the lowdown of Cindy's and my life. If you get a chance add your own update.
May God bless & keep you, David & Cindy

David,
I want to be there on Sept 22. I know I am just dreaming. But.............. God could work it out if it was His will I am praying about being there.
I hope there are others that will consider meeting there. We could have a forum reuinion.

I read your post again and so I will tell about what is going on in our lives.
God is blessing us so much! With three grown childern and the youngest being 30 we are tring to adopt a child. He is 7 and we found out his two sisters are going up also for adoption. Ages 3 and 1 so we need alot of prayers.
I worried because we will be in our 70's when the youngest finishes high school. We tried to figure out a way not to get the two sister because of our age but God would each time show us their ours. So we stopped thinking of ourselves and now we are putting God first. This is his will and we will do what he is telling us to do. He has the plan not us.

Kim,
For what it is worth......... I think it is wonderful. You and your husband are doing an amazing thing for this family. You are keeping them together. You are willing to give them a home. You are being such a good example to your own children too. When you get your new chidlren, please share a picture with us.
Hugs to you
