Reuters - Squirrel goes on rampage

BERLIN (Reuters) - An aggressive squirrel attacked and injured three people in a German town before a 72-year-old pensioner dispatched the rampaging animal with his crutch.

The squirrel first ran into a house in the southern town of Passau, leapt from behind on a 70-year-old woman, and sank its teeth into her hand, a local police spokesman said Thursday.

With the squirrel still hanging from her hand, the woman ran onto the street in panic, where she managed to shake it off.

The animal then entered a building site and jumped on a construction worker, injuring him on the hand and arm, before he managed to fight it off with a measuring pole.

"After that, the squirrel went into the 72-year-old man's garden and massively attacked him on the arms, hand and thigh," the spokesman said. "Then he killed it with his crutch."

The spokesman said experts thought the attack may have been linked to the mating season or because the squirrel was ill.

I've been hearing about this quite a bit, when the Bible talks about killing men with the beasts of the earth, squirrel wasn't the first animal that came to mind

Speaking of squirrels I had one that somehow got into the back seat of my car and chewed up my window sealing a couple of years ago.... was that Hampton beach here in New Hampshire? Hmm?

Here, I have my little wild squirrel come visit every morning after dawn, and while he gratefully eats the bag of peanuts I provide him,
he allows me to walk up to a meter (3 feet) from him and quietly take pictures...

Oh how sweet.

I like to watch them eat and play with each other.

And my little dog was so funny to watch as he would try to creep up on them and then charge after them.

about a while back i heard that these squirrels in a certain town in america were finding the hiding holes the dealers would hide their crack in and sevral squirrels ate the crack and went crazy as i read the article i could not stop cracking up thinking to my self these poor stupid dealers hidding their crack in gardens only to have the squirrels of the neighbour hood find the stash and then share the crack with their mates

this is a true story its no joke

i am involved in another forum and when i heard the replys to what the members were leaving i said wouldnt it be cool to catch one of these squirrels that have become addicted to the crack the drug dealers were stashing and intoduce the gospel to them

then let the squirrel go into the neighbour hood and say come out of her my brothers and hear the little squirrel say in jesus name i rebuke you devil you have no hold over my brothers

the squirrels who were addicted were going crazy attacking sevral old ladys and pouncing on one poor little dog sevral squirrels invaded this one home and gave the owners and their kids a hard time


i guess you can say they wanted more crack and when they came back to the spots to were the drug dealers were hidding their stash from the police to find no crack they resort to brake and enter and go crazy


but those pictures are cool shame we dont have these little guys living in Australia we have to put up with possums though possum stew is not bad if you dont get cought by the ranger

these little cute animals can do this much harm to a human were you need a bar or a walking stick to end its life


i thought our Australian magpies were bad through their breading season its summer and if you live in a hot zone were magpies are breading they wil prottect their young a young girl had her eye plucked out she has to have a patch on the magpie that did this was killed magpies come down real low and go for your eyes ears and head and arms and nose if they get you on the ear its pain full they have sharp claws to and sharp beaks they sharpen their beaks on the wires or telagraph pole

nah it was the duck i tells you bad duck bad duck the duck set of the squirrel the squirrel could not get back at the duck so it goes for the old lady construction site worker injures him and then ends up in an old mans place were it attacks the old man and he kills it with his walking stick did he have squirrel stew few dinner

i have had possum stew yum yum very nice with rabbit also thrown in

watch out arni this little squirrel could end up having a movie made called rambo squirrel 1234 let my squirrels go its the crack i heard also in america that squirrels are diging up crack in peoples gardens crack dealers hide their stash in peoples gardens in one neighbour hood alone this squirrel was able to sniff out the crack and i wil not tel you what happend it cracked me up i had to show my pastor and some of the members

Awww I miss Squirrels... growing up in the UK they were common place and I once got attacked by one at school. We all wore these thick navy blue tights and there was this crazy squirrel, it had some kind of injury on its head, and it ran up my tights! I knocked it off and it went after some of the other girls.
Unfortunately there were much more news worthy things going on, so I didn't get my 15 mins of fame.
They are so cute, we have Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory and watch the features just so we can watch the squirrels. I find Verruca Salt, a very posh little English girl (unlike me, I wasn't posh lol) who says, "Daddy, I want a squirrel!" very amusing.

"...and I want it NOW! "
