EVERYTHING that is going on in the world today is riveted, to these times of ‘dividing God’s land’. It is President Bush’s act, of REJECTING GOD’S COVENANT, (Psalm 105:7-11) that gave the land of Israel as an INHERITANCE to its people. That has put the United States in dire straits!
President Bush is the architect of the ‘vision’ to a Roadmap to Peace, the ‘recipient’ of the vision Ariel Sharon has been in a comatose state for 15 months. He agreed with the President, and set up a ‘disengagement plan’ that expelled 8000 Israelis from their homes in Gush Katiff.
This land area then became a weapon smuggling haven, that aided the enemy dramatically in last summers 33 day war with Israel! WE ARE IN ‘BIG TIME’ TROUBLE!
Preterist do you see, that OUR COUNTRY, through the Roadmap vision, by telling Ariel Sharon to expel the Gush Katiff residents in Gaza, then giving that land area to the Palestinians, AIDED AND ABEDDED THE ENEMY in their war with Israel.Gavrial, do you not see that all promises made by God to "Israel" are given only to those who believe on Him? "But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandment to do them" (Psalm 103:17, 18). Now notice Jeremiah 31:31ff--
Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--NOT according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant WHICH THEY BROKE, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But THIS is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Who would be His people? Those who have God’s laws in their minds and written on their hearts! The so-called Jews of today continue in their unbelief–God’s law is NOT in their minds and is NOT written on their hearts. This applies only to the true Israel of God–His Church–made up of believing “Jews” and “Gentiles!”
Jeremiah 31 is clearly a reference to the New Covenant in Christ's blood--a covenant that included all of faith, Jew and Gentile alike. It is in the New Covenant that all of God's promises are kept. The "Jews" of today, the nation of "Israel" of today is NOT part of that New Covenant. They continue to cling to that which God has made obsolete--that which was already vanishing away in the first century! (Heb. 8). God's promises are kept in His kingdom which is not of this world.
Why do you long for Abraham that for which he himself did not long? Abraham "waited for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (Heb. 11:10). He, along with all those who died in faith (this excludes the wicked, unbelieving Old Covenant Jews [Matthew 23]) did not receive the promises but saw them afar off and were assured of them and embraced them and "confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims ON THE EARTH" (Heb. 11:13). That’s a strange attitude is it not for those who expected to inherit the “land!” But they were NOT looking for themselves for that which you insist they should have! They sought a "homeland"--"a better, that is, a HEAVENLY country" (Heb. 11:14-16).
Who is a Jew, Gavrial? Is it not all who are part of the New Covenant--those who have been circumcised in their hearts? Are there not clearly those who say they are Jews but who lie? Jesus said: "I know the BLASPHEMY of those who SAY THEY ARE JEWS, and are NOT, but are a synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9)! Again, Jesus said: "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are NOT, but LIE--indeed, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you"–(i.e. those circumcised in their hearts--Rev. 3:9). Those who call themselves "Jews" today are NOT Jews--they are of that synagogue of Satan of which Jesus spoke. They need to repent and become part of the true Israel of God. That should be our message to them rather than encouraging them in their unbelief by falsely calling them the people of God, the apple of His eye! In its sincere but seriously misguided attempt to help "Israel," the Church today is doing them great harm!
Did not Paul clearly explain who a true Jew is? "For he is NOT a Jew who is one OUTWARDLY (as so-called Jews today); nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he IS a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit" (Rom. 2:28, 29). Again, why is this not your message to those who call themselves Jews today? Why do you not seek for their salvation through becoming real Jews through the circumcision of their hearts rather then give them the false notion that they are the people of God. They are NOT!
America may indeed be in “dire straits” but it is not because of her treatment of the nation which calls itself Israel–it is because of her own sinfulness and disbelief!
