I read and heard about most unlucky day (Friday 13th).Is it really true?.My husband is travelling on coming friday.I am bit worried.Please pray for us.

it's a superstition.

definition of superstition: a farmer noticed that the moon was full when he planted his corn this year, and he made a BIG crop of good corn,..........so, he decides that, from now on, forever, he will ALWAYS plant his corn during a full moon.
the full moon had NOTHING to do with the Big harvest, but the farmer thinks.........maybe, it was cause and effect

I've never had a problem with Friday the 13th...superstitions are nonsense.

I will pray for your husband's safe trip home. GOD is the only protection we need. HE is our hedge of protection.

One of my neighbour died on fri 13th (2 yrs back) so people around me created this believe on me.I thought I should get ride of this thought but not able to do that I started reading more about this in internet to know the truth..but so many posted that it is a bad day...that's why I got worried...yesteraday my husband also told me...all day are good day...after reading your posts I am now 100% confident that I will never frighten on seeing friday 13th in my calender ever...I know this forum surely will guide me in right direction....happy to see your posts..

IMHO: Monday the 13ths are worse,,,,
but when we wake up every day, let us remember

that THIS is the day the The Lord has made,,,,and rejoice and be glad.

Weather it is a monday, friday,,or thursday the 13th,,,,,,,,,
EVEN APRIL THE 15th...........or tuesday the 17th of April this year (tax day)

Everyday that we have,,,,is The Lord's Day.

believe in superstitions either.

In a town not far from me all the bikers gather on Friday the 13th-from all over
Canada and some come from the States too. What a site. What a site it would
be if I hitched a ride with a biker dude for my birthday. NOT! Not a pleasant site anyway. Great opportunity to
share the gospel though.

I guess it dates back to the assumed crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus + 12 disciples = 13; And we know what happened to the numero13 (Judah); and therefore no one wants to be the 13th (or a Judas)...

But toss that garbage where it belongs... to the garbage! 'Cuz Jesus was crucified on a... wednesday!

My first date with my wife of 11 years and counting was on Friday the 13th (and yes I'm very happy)
By the way, we closed on our first house on april fools day! Dates are just dates.

Luck is something we made up to attempt to describe unusual circumstance. There is in most a things a reason behind why it has occurred whether we can see it or not. I do think some things do fall into the category of chance, but that you cannot readily distiguish those from things that had reason to them but the reason couldn't readily be realized.

I do think there is reason to believe in spiritual curses/ect... but that these are not actually associated with 'luck' we just tend to label them as 'bad luck' because its an easy label for misfortune we can't explain or feel we don't deserve.
