Full Version: Internet Etiquette Or Netiquette

Greetings all,

Upon being informed that I broke internet etiquette by one of our beloved members... I recollected a webpage on Internet personalities in the form of caricatures... I began to look for that page again to see if it was updated and to have another chuckle....

Anyway I came across some interesting information... being relatively new to the internet community culture, some I was aware of others I wasn't.

I am finding it very interesting in seeing how the etiquette or "internet morality" is being shaped... VERY FASCINATING...

I'm going to post some things I've found here and see if you see what I see:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Flaming---
Baiting---
Gadfly---
Thread bombing--- Wow... didn't even know that but have seen it.
Hit and run posting---
Garfenkling---
Devils advocate----
Sock puppets---
Griefers---
Schadenfreude---
Ostracism---
Trolls---

Meow wars --- biggrin.gif

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Fascinating stuff when you evaluate the sociological response and manifestation of this etiquette. Especially the origins.

WOW...

What else am I missing...
