The Bible is the Living Word of the Most High God

Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ Goodshepard
A Few questions about your answer.
Before the writings that make up the bible were put together, What was the Living Word of the Most High God?
When all of the bibles in china back in the day were burned, where was the Living Word of the Most High God?
If a bible is sitting in a garage collecting dust, where is the Living Word of the Most High God?

I think that you just answered The questions above. Does this mean that Jesus Christ and the Spirit of Jesus Christ are the Living Word of the Most High God?

Jhn 6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

Jhn 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

Jhn 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Jhn 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

Jhn 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Luk 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

Exd 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw [it], they said one to another, It [is] manna: for they wist not what it [was]. And Moses said unto them, This [is] the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

Exd 16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

QUOTE
Lam 3:22 [It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Lam 3:23 [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.

Lam 3:24 The LORD [is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Lam 3:25 The LORD [is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul [that] seeketh him.

Praise God.

Let me see if I can put this together in reference to the topic. The bible tells us about the bread of Life from God but it has no life in us until we come to Him to be fed. In essence the Bible is not the bread of Life but tells you where and how to obtain it. By asking daily for that daily bread we have the promise writen that if we ask we will receive which is also part of coming to Him in faith believing.
C
Jesus is the Word that was in the beginning and that Word is now in our hands as well. He is also the Bread of life , that came down from heaven. That Word became flesh and lived amongst man for a while. There is no other word to hear, because we cannot add or take away from this one.

The Holy Spirit makes this Word/Bible alive to us who wait on the Lord.As we eat it every day, God makes it alive to the believer. It give life to those who eat it.The voice of the Holy Spirit that every believer hear, echos only the Word. It breaks the Bread open for us. He gives understanding into the mysteries of God, by a gift of knowledge and He grants understanding to those who ask.

For those who venture outside of the Word, well, they go beyond that which was written and do so to their own detriment. (I know some like that and their lives show confusion , they are not standing on the Rock)

Its a need in the church today to believe the Bible is the Word of God. How do I know that: Because I look at those who doubt it , and I look at their fruit.

I know where you are coming from with this, because I walked this road before smile.gif But you know, the strange thing about it was, that I looked and searched for the truth, but could not find it anywhere. Then I asked the Lord to show me if even the New Testament was His Word (meaning , did that include the Living Word?) When He showed me "yes" it was the first time I believed it.
So , nobody is going to convince nobody of this or the other. If you really want to know, I KNOW you have to ask the Lord about it. Only HE will show you. No argument will achieve this.

Happy searching...the truth is out there...just ask smile.gif

If I am understanding you correctly then you can't come to Christ and God and be saved without the Bible?
C
God is sovereign, to Him anything is possible. He has revealed Himself sovereignly to people in the past, who have asked to know the real God.That does not influence or change the Word being the Word.

Hmmm..well, I would say that is wrong Godsloft..If you told me the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I had never read a Bible and the Holy Spirit convicted me..Then I can be saved without the Bible..Also I have heard of people who had never heard of Christ or seen a Bible..come to Jesus..supernatural through Christ Himself..missionary's teach in areas that have never read God's word or heard of Him and are saved.

NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE for GOD...

Of course, I have heard of a 4 year old child of an atheist visiting with the Lord and painting His picture..BTW..she brought her family to Christ..She never heard of Jesus or God...God is SO MIGHTY..

Long time no talking to you..I am pleased to see that you are alive and well..miss your site tho..Go with God my friend and peace be with you and yours.
May God continue to bless you in your journey.

Amen C before the 1600's there was no bible. Maybe a piece here and a piece there, with this group and that group. My purpose for this thread was to bring out into the Light that people should start worshiping the Lord of heaven and earth and discover that there is a living God out there in the expanse of the sky who loves them and wants them to come out and walk and talk with Him. The devil has done great damage to the general public of all nations by changing thought patterns and exchanging the truth of Christ for the lie. If a person Loves Christ and does what He said, The Lord will come to them and make His Home with them. Not in their imagination but in reality.

Amen goodshepard. None of the elders and prophets had a bible and they will be coming with Christ when He returns.
I shut the other board down thinking that the new one would come right up, but we had problems with it. Hopefully not to long now and the problems will be worked out. We'll be back.

Correct, not in their imagination, but in reality:

The Bible is reality, it is the Word of God. The early church new that, they had received the words of the apostles as the Word of God. They were all started of with the Gospel of the what we know today as the New Testament. They shared the Word and became followers of those who became believers before them . We can see it here in this scripture where Paul tells them how they received his words as the Word if God and he also said that was the correct thing to do.
Plus they became followers of the churches (called out ones) that went before them.

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1Th 2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they [have] of the Jews:

See, God did not want us to walk in the dark, so He supplied His church from the beginning with all the truth that they would need.We were never asked to sit still and meditate until we hear a voice or see a vision, that would enable us to find the correct path. No, God sent His Son who is the manifestation of the Word.
Then by open revelation gave the rest to Paul and the Holy Spirit also wrote through some of the disciples.

Through uneducated fishermen and an educated Pharisee, God brought the final part of His Word to us. Broken men, which were filled and enabled by His Spirit. Then God proceeded to seal this Word. He used numbers to place His seal on every word. Google "Panin" if you want to know more about it.

We find more than one copy of the old manuscripts that show is that they "e-mailed" them to the other churches. They copied and spread the letters around to the known church of the day.

I agree with everything that you said C. Unfortunately no one has listened to the final part of Gods word for millenniums. Their still not listening, which forces Gods hand to do great harm to them during the transition from the world into the Kingdom. But it has to end and start somewhere, sometime. It might as well be now.

GL thank you.
The student of prophecy all know that we have seven days only on this planet.(7 Thousand years)

Eze 46:1 Thus saith the LordGOD The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

As we are in reality there NOW,(the end of six working days...) this is about to happen.

Christians have lost sight of the fact that God has divided the time into dispensations and that we are now entering the dispensation of the seventh day. Just like Israel forgot to so that as well, and they missed the coming of their Messiah.

So what I actually want to say is: Its not so much that people do not want to hear, as the fact that God spoke this prophetically and said that it will be shut, but on the seventh (7th Millinium) day, it will be opened. That is why we are experiencing the outpouring of more and more understanding at the moment that most of the previous generation did not understand .

Its not "new" its just "time for it". More and more of the elect will hear and understand.God is "blowing a trumpet" in the spirit and His people are hearing it. A new day is dawning, a new dispensation is here, Christ will manifest in His body, before He returns on the clouds. (Rev 12) (John 16)

Its the last leg of the final race.

So although it seems that few are hearing: That is also according to Scripture. "Many are called, but few are chosen" and also the Bible teaches us about the "remnant" which are actually very few as always.

The Word teaches us to:Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

and to work out our salvation "with fear and trembling"
to run our race........1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Only ONE obtains the prize...........only Christ. So if we run our race (Paul said he disciplines his body so that it will submit, unless he that preaches to others, might become apostate himself)

Those who HEAR, realises that it is about death to self: its about having Christ formed in us, by absorbing the Word and , as you say, actually DOING what it tells us. Then all those wonderful things start coming to pass:God makes His home IN US...and only then.

God is coming back for the fruit, and not the tree...........He is coming back for Christ.

Praise God: We have been crucified with Christ and no longer live............Christ now lives in us by faith.
Let us die daily to our own will , our own fleshly desires and let us humble ourselves under the Word and actually DO IT, so that Christ can be fully formed in us.

Battle for Truth

No other study will so ennoble every thought, feeling, and aspiration as the study of the Scriptures. This Sacred Word is the will of God revealed to men. Here we may learn what God expects of the beings formed in His image. Here we learn how to improve the present life and how to secure the future life. No other book can satisfy the questionings of the mind and the craving of the heart. By obtaining a knowledge of God’s word, and giving heed thereto, men may rise from the lowest depths of ignorance and degradation to become the sons of God, the associates of sinless angels.

A clear conception of what God is, and what He requires us to be, will give us humble views of self. He who studies aright the Sacred Word will learn that human intellect is not omnipotent; that, without the help which none but God can give, human strength and wisdom are but weakness and ignorance.

As an educating power the Bible is without a rival. Nothing will so impart vigor to all the faculties as requiring students to grasp the stupendous truths of revelation. The mind gradually adapts itself to the subjects upon which it is allowed to dwell. If occupied with commonplace matters only, to the exclusion of grand and lofty themes, it will become dwarfed and enfeebled. If never required to grapple with difficult problems, or put to the stretch to comprehend important truths, it will, after a time, almost lose the power of growth.

The Bible is the most comprehensive and the most instructive history which men possess. It came fresh from the fountain of eternal truth, and a divine hand has preserved its purity through all the ages. Its bright rays shine into the far distant past, where human research seeks vainly to penetrate. In God’s word alone we find an authentic account of creation. Here we behold the power that laid the foundation of the earth and that stretched out the heavens. Here only can we find a history of our race, unsullied by human prejudice or human pride.

In the word of God the mind finds subject for the deepest thought, the loftiest aspiration. Here we may hold communion with patriarchs and prophets, and listen to the voice of the Eternal as He speaks with men. Here we behold the Majesty of heaven as He humbled Himself to become our substitute and surety to cope singlehanded with the powers of darkness and to gain the victory in our behalf. A reverent contemplation of such themes as these cannot fail to soften, purify, and ennoble the heart, and, at the same time, to inspire the mind with new strength and vigor.

In an age like ours, in which iniquity abounds and God’s character and His law are alike regarded with contempt, special care must be taken to reverence and obey the divine will as revealed to man. The fear of the Lord is fading from mind because of neglect of Bible study.

All should have a living connection with God, and should stand, firmly and fearlessly, as witnesses for Him. Never from cowardice or worldly policy let the word of God be placed in the background. Every student will be profited intellectually, as well as morally and spiritually, by its study.

John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
