I had two really odd dreams recently and I can not get them out of my mind. I can not shake the feeling in my heart that they were from the Lord. Perhaps someone can help me interpret their meanings? Here's the easy one (quite short):

I am in a small room and there is a Bible on a shelf. I go to open it and find it is locked. There is a keyhole in it. Suddenly a key which fits the hole materializes out of nothing and I catch it with my hand, then process to unlock the book so I can read it. Then, I wake up. I assume this is telling me that I am unlocking the mysteries of the scriptures, but, I was just wondering if anyone else had a alternate take on this.

And now the one about the towel (the hard dream)....

I throw a towel in the dryer as I am doing laundry and an hour later I come back to take the towel out of the dryer only to find it is still sopping wet. Annoyed, I throw it back in the dryer for another hour and at this time I hear a voice saying "God's will is that this towel be dry." Well, another hour passes and I go back only to find the dryer did not dry my towel-- it's still soaked. At this point, I am getting frustrated, thinking to myself "what's the deal here?" I look inside the dryer and find there is a small pool of water that somehow ended up in the bottom of it. "Great", I thought "how am I going to get this towel dry if my machine's busted."
At this point, the setting morphs. I am now in a backyard and I find laundry being hung out to dry on a rope suspended above the ground by two posts (the old-fashioned way hehe). I am still holding the towel from the first "scene" and it is still wet. There is a storm coming and the wind is blowing hard. Also, I see an owl flying across the street, hooting as it does so. Now, it is about 4 in the afternoon in the dream...aren't owls supposed to be night creatures? I sense this owl's appearance in that dream is signifigant somehow, but I do not understand it's relevence. Anyhow, like I said, there was a storm brewing and the wind was blowing hard. Again, I hear this voice saying "God's will is that the towel be dry". I then put the towel on the line so that the wind would blow it dry, however I am worried that the strong wind might blow it away. Then, the dream ends.

Anyone out there have an idea how to interpret this one? Thanks for reading this.

The way l see the towel dream is a sign of the times. We have opposition in doing Gods will. It's going to be hard in the days ahead. Maybe the two dreams are connected?

Sometimes, owls are symbolic of wisdom (I'm not thinking of Bible symbolism, this is secular)

I'm totally guessing

The owl is a dark symbol always. A night predator. Somrtimes symbolizing satan.

Sounds pretty simple to me actually. It seems symbolic of yourself as you are trying to follow God's will, struggling because contstant obstacles keep getting thrown your way. You are determined and thirsty for his Word and to follow his path. Perhaps you are exploring other alternative paths to his Will that may get you lost, hence you see the owl....as a wake-up call. I don't mean to say that you are seeking in every nook and cranny as any scientist would to find evidence of proof. It might mean that this is some type of spirtual obstacle course for you, or a quest, if you will (as it is for us all). The devil is doing everything to steer you and prevent you from learning the truth and following his will. Outside representing a larger scope of view of the whole scenerio. The owl is a sign from God and the wisdom of his Word of his evidence as unseen, the owl has always been there. Just hidden from plain view. Just as Yahweh, God, The Creator, The Almighty has always been there watching.

Keep in mind His greatness for he created the heavens and the earth. He breathed life into man. We are not to question where the Almighty had evolved...for He is the Alpha and Omega and His word shall abide forever and ever.

Remember blind faith. It is always there. Evidence unseen and angels unaware.

God is always there watching and giving us free will to follow the right path. In the Bible Satan is known as the prince of the air. The wind/air as a deterrent to blow you off course and from your straight and narrow path.

So remember whenever you see that storm brewing and that wind blowing away your faith in God....just remember how strong God is because he breathed life into all of us. The heavens, the earth, the universe were created by his word. I don't even want to disect it or pick it apart-because it all goes back to FAITH. We all struggle because Satan is unleashed in this world and unfortunately we have to live in it. blink.gif

God's will is not being accomplished by things made by men. That is why the dryer is not working. Twice you have looked for for something made by men's ingenuity to accomplish God's will.

God's will will be accomplished by means of his spirt. This is the meaning of the wind in your dream.

by means of simple things God will accomplish His Will, despite the appearance of conditions, (the storm coming) A storm is coming. God's will will be accomplished despite the storm.

Darkness is approaching. the owl is to divert your attenion from the task at hand. It is unclean.

IT is the will of God that the waters of truth, that clease us, dry up.

THe towel is saturated, but it also must become dry.

Remember Jesus said, "i thirst"

He used a towel to dry the feet of his disciples.

He was gird with it.

be willing to "go outside" --away from what is man-made.

my computer is not working well.
things made by men will fail.

remember Zechariah 4:6.

Jesus was "hung out to dry".

SO was Terri Shiavo.

one other thought, dear no fool.

be willing to put "everything on the line"

-even your very life-

for the love of Jesus.....speak about that one.

even if you lose your life, if the coming storm blows it away- you will find it again.

For God makes all things new.

Wow....praise the Lord. You folks really nailed it. It just boggles my mind that such a vast, powerful, awe-inspiring being like Yahweh cares enough about mere humans to concern Himself with our personal affairs-- even to the point of speaking to one personally. Our planet is just a tiny little speck of dust compared to the size of the entire universe and the inhabitants of this planet are far smaller. You would think we would be insignificant to Him, but that is not the case.
It is very true regarding God's will...fear is the thing keeping me from walking with Him to the fullest and that issue does need to be addressed. Thank you very much for the insight, folks, I really appreciated this.

not one small sparrow falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge,
and even the very number of the hairs of your head are known and accounted for in his book.

you are worth many times more than many sparrows.

Praise indeed belongs to Yahweh, God, the Creator of all.

He is very tender in his compassion and his humility was prefectly exemplified by his Son.

Pour all your burdens upon that One, for e cares for you.

He loves you like crazy.

Hello NoFool,

The Lord has given me several dreams (visions in my sleep) and I understand where you're coming from. When God gives you a dream or a vision, you can bet your most cherished possessions that it will stay engraved in your memory for quite a long time.

Understand that the vision has been made especially for you, and the vision has been CREATED by God.

I have come to start to understand some of the symbolism of some of the dreams. I do not claim to be as good at it as Joseph in Egypt or Daniel in Babylon, but here's what I can tell you about your dream:

This dream is for you personally, not for the nation(s), not for others, only for you.
The dream means two things but it is one and the same somehow.

First:
The key that apears from nowhere and the wind is God's Spirit, or rather God's intervention in your life.

You try too much to do things your own way instead of God's way, that's why the Bible cannot be opened at first, and that's why the dryer does not dry the towel. That is what the Lord shows you in this double dream. Rely on Him is the key. Remember, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says The Lord".

The Lord is showing you that doing things His way is better, simpler and easier than doing it your way, the wind and a clothesline are rather simpler as compared with a dryer. As for the storm coming, I would think The Lord is showing you that it is not the appearances that counts, could be also a symbolism of the "latter rain" coming (yeepee!!!). The owl you mentionned, well usually fowls symbolize evil spirit, so the enemy (the devil) will try to attract or rather distract your attention away from the goal to accomplish.

Second:
You try to reach people for the Lord (a good and noble intention) but you are not doing it God's way.

God's way, is first to get into His word (the locked Bible). He will give you the understanding Himself (the key that appears from nowhere) and show you gems in His word. But you must get into His word, and pray The Lord for understanding. He gives the key in due time.

Talking to people about God on the Internet (the dryer with its own electrical heat and wind and staying within the confort of your own home) is not getting the job done at all. On the other hand, talking to them about God on a person to person basis (using the clothesline and the open wind in the backyard) is God's way of doing it.

Just as the apostle Paul was sending letters (epistles) to many churches, but only after he had been there himself doing the person to person human contact, and often returned there later on.

The waters at the bottom of the dryer are nations and people and things distracting and nullifying the desired effect of the word of God. The cloudy sky in the backyard is the influences and the spiritual state of the world, specially the neighbourhood where you have to talk. The owl is the devil trying to distract you and scare you from the purpose God wants you to do.

Only when the towel is dry can you be a good servant with a purpose to wash people's feet just like the Lord did Himself at the last supper.

I hope this helps.

If we link the two dreams, A locked bible is like a wet towel. Neither is any good for the purpose for which it was designed. The enemy is represented in both dreams, by not only the owl, but the lock since the lord would never hide his word and provided a means to overcome the lock, his way. The owl in afternoon shows the enemy come against you in an unexpected time. Even though the storm is coming, the lord will do what he has purposed, his way in his time.

I had two really odd dreams recently and I can not get them out of my mind. I can not shake the feeling in my heart that they were from the Lord. Perhaps someone can help me interpret their meanings? Here's the easy one (quite short):

obedience, obedience, obedience. Trust God- this is what I hear.
I see you turning to the bible for your answers. you are alway seeking for God's way. you want to please Him with your obedience. your struggleing with something. God's will? two thought are -you want to see God's word preformed as it is promised. you want Gods will to line up with your will? Is there someone close to you sereously sick? He's saying trust Him and be obedient even when you don't understand. stay in pray and fast for YOUR strength. God is with you and he loves you and He hears you.

Hello Pam,

I read your dream. Could you elaborate a little bit more and type the other dream as well please. Also we are in the discussion of the dream NoFool had. Maybe another thread should be started for this. Asking this for 2 reasons:
1: Both dreams could be complementary.
2: Not mess up NoFool's present topic.

Tell me Pam, was this dream only audio? A voice only without imagery?

Thanks Pam
Love in Christ

The dream means that God is in control.
The owl is a foretelling of ruin or desolation.
