It's great how God uses different tools to help us: #1 His Word, #2 other Christians, books, etc. I was reminded - again - today about Attitude. Mine in particular. And I recalled something (or the Holy Spirit recalled it for me biggrin.gif ) I read years ago from one of Chuck Swindoll's books. I'd like to share it with the form in case there are some Christians who have not seen it:

ATTITUDE

"The longer I live the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a church ... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past ... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing that we can do is to play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our attitudes."

Wow........... there is powerful realization in that..........
Dr. Clawson now since passed onward, was a pastor in the Church
that lead me to Salvation.............

He use to say, when you have climbed the highest mountain and sun is shining,
the breeze on your skin is gentle and warm, and the view is fabulous........
Soak up the panoramic view, because guanteed very shortly your going to slide all the way down to the bottom of that mountain and be in the muck again.

Knowing in advance........... the peaks are the highs in life we call blessings of Gods gifts, treasures of pleasures. These things are not owed us, any joy we find in life is a gift from God.

The good times are easy................ Attitude in advance............. Attitude in knowing you don't own the good thing, its a gift........ and can be taken away tomorrow............... Attitude in preparation for the roll in the muck.
Attitude in how will I look with muck on my face and greet the world today?

God uses everything good and bad in life to mold us and make us more of what we are meant to be in His eyes.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before the fall.
________________________________________________________________
Psalms 22:4 by humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and Life.

There is a fine between pride and humility............ I try to walk on it.
I don't want to be so proud that I am ugly to God............. yet I have a sense of pride in myself and my accomplishments through Christ.

I don't want to be so humble............ I look like a welcome door mat.
Yet I need to know my place and to let the host tell me where he would have me sit as appose me selecting the finest seat in the house to sit upon only to be told its reserved for someone else ................. please stand and sit in the corner will you.

Attitude................ I walk a fine line .................I embrace the good > easy to do..
Attitude ............ prepare for the worst..........

..humility helps us deal with defeat... a dose of pride can get us back on our feet.
