A few nights back I had a dream where I was sitting on a hill with several people at a party when all of a sudden I looked up at the sky and saw a crazy-huge asteroid going seemingly slow through the atmosphere and crashing some several miles away. When it was going through the sky I found myself thinking "Why weren't we told about this thing?" This thing have you had seen it for surely dominated the earth without question. If you have ever seen independence day it looked like the spaceship did when it came through the clouds. It had fire all over it as it crashed. The body of it looked like an icecream cone and it was long as well which resembled a snake or worm. WHile the asteroid was still in the air I heard some lady say something about Jesus and then kiss me on the cheek. She was very happy. She was also Janet Jackson?

In regards to your dream, I find that in dreams and visions that the Lord gives me where a name is mentioned, it is the etymology behind the name that is significant, and not the actual individual person, them self.

The name "Janet Jackson" translates into "Son of Yahweh's Double Grace" or "Son of God's Double Favor". It appears to be in reference to the “joy” brought on by the release of the Lord's double anointing of Grace and Favor upon YOU during a "test" or "trial" as symbolized by the act of the happy lady (Janet Jackson) kissing you on the cheek. Scripturally speaking, the "cheek" is a symbol of testing and suffering when smitten (Jos 6:10; 1Ki 22:24; Mt 5:39; Ps 3:7; and Mic 5:1).

The "asteroid-serpent" is the "fiery arrow" (like a conic ice cream cone shape) from the Enemy planned against you. It will be "unexpected" as you said, "Why weren't we told about this thing?" First the dream and then some comments from me:
In my dream I knew that I was in Arizona (never been) and I was standing around in an open area watching people celebrating. Someone came and took me by the arm and said "come with me and see what is going to terrify many". I went with this person to the top of a hill and as I got to the top of the hill a HUGH black triangular object with lights on it came over our heads. It was enormous. Then I woke up.
Comments: First as I stated I have never been to Arizona and the only thing I knew about it is that it has deserts. Yes, the object reminded me of a hugh black ship like was in the movie Independence Day I think. No, I had not seen that movie before I had this dream.

my life is a living hell. everything just got REALLY bad whenever i was Born Again sometime around July 2004.



fast forward to now. i'm 19 years old. i got no friends, my family doesn't understand me. there's this on going war between me and my dad and i'm tired of it. everyday is the SAME as the day before. i got no job, i'm looking. i'm DYING to get my own house, some friends, and a job and just my own LIFE. it's even deeper than what I just explained but that's the starting point. I hate this, I am SO SICK of it. For TOO LONG NOW this has been going on.


God is Sovereign. He gives and takes away. He puts me in this pit for His good pleasure.



but i had this dream almost a year ago.



there's this Big Beach. And I'm I am in this beachside restraunt and whenever I would go from room to room in this place, someone would greet me kindly.



at one point, I'm looking out this back of this place that goes onto the beach. There's these steps that people can walk down and out onto the Beach. I see this HUGE bolt of Lightning come down out in the Ocean and I KNOW that some thunder is Coming next. I Close my Ears.



But it's still so loud. And here's the thing about the Thunders. Each time it Thundered, It sounded EXACTLY the same as the One before. It Thundered FOUR Times. And everything about them was PERFECT. They sounded the same, the same time in between each crack, etc... It was as if someone was Controlling them. There was no sun from what I remember. Just dark clouds.



People started running and I'm running out on the Beach and then these Waves from the Ocean crash over me. When I come to, I believe it was sunny now and I take this kid named Kyle by the hand and lead him up onto the Beach. Then I go and look for others.

Josh, first off welcome to the forum! I know that life seems to be difficult...Our LORD never promised a Rose Garden here on earth...but we are to look forward to our heavenly home. Do not fret... for you are abiding in the Arms of the Lord, He will not desert you. The reason why your life is “hell” for the past 3 years is because when some (not all) choose the “straight and NARROW path” in Christ, then the spiritual Enemy will launch a “counter attack”. This is a very “SPECIAL SIGN” that YOU are reserved by God for a very SPECIAL PURPOSE and ROLE in Christ where you will do great damage to the demonic agenda, and thusly so, the demonic realm has mobilized against you to thwart God’s plan for you, because the demons greatly “fear” what the Lord will do through you, for it is going to be REALLY BIG. Any Christian who is a demonic target of heavy spiritual attacks is an indication of the individual’s THREAT to the demonic realm. Consequently, the demonic nature desires to circumvent that future threat by wearing you down and to discourage you, because you are the Lord’s “TOP SECRET WEAPON” or “SPECIAL AGENT”.

Also, because you have become a Christian, you have “defected” from the “other side”… it’s sort of like in the realm of spies and secret agents during the Cold War between the U.S. and Soviet Union… while an undercover agent is with his Soviet comrades they were his friends, but when he chose to “defect” to the oppositional side, say the U.S., then his former comrade friends suddenly became his vowed enemies bent on eradicating him. This is what occurs in the spiritual world, while we as non-Believers were in the World, our inherent demons were our “friends”, our “comrades”, not actually making their presences or influences known to us. But when we “defected” to Christ, SUDDENLY, the demons proclaim us as their vowed enemy and they manifest great turmoil for us in the Real.

Yes, you are correct, God has put you in the midst of your pit for a purpose (as Joseph was in the pit), and you are a “seed” planted there to bring Christ to your WHOLE family and this is part of God’s plan through you. Believe the IMPOSSIBLE; He will do this for you and your family; and even MORE, for look at Joseph who became a mighty man who was greatly blessed by God. Now, be careful in the midst of the turmoil as not to engage in “hatred” for your situation or against your family members, instead be very mindful that it is not the flesh you battle against, your family members, but the demonic realm that is responsible for the turmoil and influencing your family members with resistance to your choice in Christ, and their revile to the Presence of Christ in you. Put on the whole Armor of God, and use the Divine Weapon, “LOVE”. The more turmoil, the more resistance, the more hate that the Enemy musters up in your love ones, then the more LOVE you will magnify and pour on. Do not hate for this is exactly what the Enemy desires, for hate from you will actually “feed” the turmoil against you and cause “self-cursing”. Be extremely mindful of your words, bless, do not curse, for regardless both will return to you magnified. Do the opposite of hate… LOVE. Believe me, this will indeed work… my father was an alcoholic who beat my mother terribly and life in our household was a living hell. Then one day I choice to LOVE my father no matter what, and then one day out of the blue he just stopped drinking, cold. And finally we had a father and son relationship, and he began to reciprocate the LOVE back to me. That was in the last two years of his life.

Now, to your “FANTASTIC DREAM OF GREAT HOPE”…

The BIG BEACH in your dream is a symbol of the unsaved multitudes of the Earth. The “restaurant” with the “kind-spoken people” is a symbol of “Restoration” and “Rest” in Christ and it also represents the coming new “AGE OF RESTOREIA”, being the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. The four years are essential for you to grow in Christ, mature your trust in Him despite the “appearances” of your circumstances (no job, no friends, hopelessness and parental friction), and for the alignment of the great commission that the Lord has for you, for He is raising you up to be one of His “Mighty Sons of God”. Now, your 4th year in Christ is symbolic of your “wilderness year” as the 4th book of the Bible, “Numbers”, which in Hebrew is called “B’Midbar”, meaning “The Wilderness”. It relates to the “pilgrimage” through this period of “striving” and “wanderings”. Even the 4th book of the Psalms is the “Book of the Wilderness” and the first Psalm is the “Prayer of Moses, the man of God”--- the man of the “wilderness”. Use this 4th year in Christ as “Christ in the Wilderness”, grow in your dependency in God, the Will of the Father, press into Him as never before. A “diamond” is produced by the result of tremendous “pressure” upon a lump of carbon (coal). The turmoil you are going through is the “pressure”; use it to your advantage… REJOICE as these things occur, for in the final outcome you will be an “Overcomer in Christ”, transformed into a DIAMOND, spiritually speaking.

Now, the "Four Thunders" are also "Four Great Blessings" reserved EXCLUSIVELY onto you, and yet, simultaneously, the "Four Thunders" are also "Four Great Curses" reserved for those that comes against you, the enemies of Christ. Hence, ultimately, the Lord will give you the POWER to BLESS and the POWER to CURSE, as in Moses (Blessings) and Elijah (Cursings). While the whole world engages in self-seeking empowerment, we are not to do so; we are not to do anything according to our own strength, but rather abide in the lord, selflessly and powerlessly so that He may be our Power. And by so doing, you will walk the straight and NARROW path as symbolized by the boy, Kyle.

Nothing fancy-shmancy, I just use a good old fashion Webster dictionary. Being a researcher, I have many kinds of dictionaries, but the one I truly like and use heavily, particularly for etymological analysis is the "New World Dictionary of American English: Third College Edition" (my version was published in 1991).

Also a good "baby name book" is helpful. I use the one by Anne Geddes, "Baby Names Keepsake", published in 1997. She lists the meaning and origin of each name.

I'm sure there are sources on the Internet that you can access through "Google" as you mentioned.

For biblical name etymology my Bible has a "Biblical Cyclopedic Index" which defines each name. I use the "Open Bible Expanded Edition: The New King James Version Red Letter Edition", published in 1985.

Etymology is one of the prime methodologies I employ in my research; it truly unlocks the deeper meaning of things, spiritual, material and life in general. The Ancient Greeks were highly proficient in this methodology, and required it in their scholarship and studies in order for one to apprehend the true meaning of things. It is truly a lost art in the sciences.
