Gas prices going up AGAIN!!!! Couldn't afford the propane for the last month of winter; thank god for electricity. Medical bills stacking up. Politics!!

I WANT OUT!!! I AM TIRED OF IT!
Man it is getting so that it is impossible to get ahead these days.
I have an Idea!!! Lets start a fellowship community. Like they did in the Book of Acts. They sold all they had and lived in harmony. We could have a plot of land with small cabins for personal living and a central community hall for fellowship. A workshop and mechanics garage. Gardens and enough acorage to butcher our own livestock.
In my position, I could make it if I only didn't have to pay rent!

Welcome to reality.
I have been studying alternative fuels and biodiesel, as well as alternative energy production.
I had hoped to use my knowledge to become self sufficient in this world, yet with these increases in fuel and other costs it seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.
What do you think?

Place your trust in faith in Jesus Chirst and trust that He will provide all of your needs...
You should be good to go if you do this...You should know this, you are a believer....
I hear that in other countries, gas prices are very high....

What does "get ahead" mean?
Our prayers are for our daily bread,,,,
have any of us reading this have starved to death yet???
Dont look at the wind and the waves,,,
eyes front,,,eyes on Jesus.
Your walking on water,,,one step at a time,,
your daily bread.

Feeding your faith is important, but also learn to take care of yourself/family.
God will help you, but it does take a little bit of effort on your part also.
He can bless all that you do, and multiply it, but he needs something to work with.
Consider the story of the Prophet and the old widow woman, she gave him the last of her oil,
and flour, (she was going to eat the last of what she had and then die), then he (Prophet &
God) blessed it and she had more than enough.
Sounds like

I break down and have cried over the situation and the LORD sends me reassurance again and again, that He will take care of me. I'm better off than I ever have been. I not rich or anything, but at least I can pay my bills and have a little bit I can stash away. As you know, squirrels must stash!

Gas in Australia is $1.28 a liter and that equals to $4.864 Australia dollars and that equals to $3.9364 US dollars. I don't know the gas prices in the states at the moment.
Australia has a very big public transportation system, I was amazed when I arrived at the trains and buses. Trains travel between all cities, and if they don't, then the buses do and the rate is very resonable.

I tithe and I am not on the world system therefore I do not care what the world economy says and does...He will provide and I will survive..matter of fact I am continually on the increase not the decrease. God's promises work to our benefit...I am better off now than ever before yet I do the same work I always did all my life....

It already takes me that much. I have to fill up two cars for the job thing and around town thing and yet I never miss the money. My God has lots of it...He gave me a RHEMA word one time and it has been playing out....Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. Psa 24:1 The earth [is] the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psa 50:10 For every beast of the forest [is] mine, [and] the cattle upon a thousand hills. Psa 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing]. Psa 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
Think I'll go look for a new car later today...

Thank You all...
I do have faith that the Lord will and has provided. I've just been thinking that is all. I know for a fact that churches are suffering because of lack of tithing. And I do not know of anyone who harvests the corners of their fields for the poor, and the OT said to leave for the poor. When you think about it, the number of social workers and welfare employees is staggering and we are not getting our dollars worth for social security and social programs. It makes me wonder what would happen if Christians actually did their part.
For example the last census I heard was 285 million American Citizens. Of which 80% claim to be Christian. Which I know is not true.. but. If everyone who claimed to be Christian tithed just $10 per month that equates to $2,280,000,000. That is $2.28 billion dollars per month! Now leave the corners of your gardens for the poor and what do you have?
Now Get together with four Christian families that you can relate to. Find 100 acres to purchase together. Let's say it's $1000 per acre. A little hard to find such acorage... but it is available. Ok this gives you 25 acres per person if you subdivided it... but!!! Give each family 5 acres, leaving 80 shared acres. Now you have 85 acres and 3 ranch hand families. And the land can be paid off in five years easily!!! In five years a neighbor farmer sells his 100 acre plot. Bingo! five more years and you have 200 acres of shared acorage. At some point you can subdivide and sell your $25,000 dollar land investment for $50,000 - $100,000.
Essentially it is a low risk investment program.
I'm not talking about getting rich... though you can through land development. I'm talking about reducing the cost of living through fellowship farming... like in the book of Acts.
Really, something has to change in this world! We're not headed in the right direction.

I think Itchy has a good point, although I'm not so sure it is practical in the times we live...and then there is always the risk of another Jim Jones or Waco Branch Davidians scenario...which I don't think anyone would want. That's usually the way those things end up...at least, that's how the news media wants us to believe...so maybe he has a good point...which is why the government wants to make it look like such a bad idea with "special news coverage" dragged out for a year
just thinking out loud...Jesus said to wash each others feet...not stand in the wilderness by yourself and wade in a creek while reading a copy of the latest "What's God gonna give me" book...what are we gonna give each other?

It is obtuse to the ways of God to sit in Lodebar when one has been invited to the King's table....to situate oneself thusly is to oppose the basket and store of provision from God based upon the natural sight...When one has a grasp on the reality of benefit, blessing and favour of God Almighty, one does not cherish impoverishment nor does one expect to fall under the way thereof...Psa 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psa 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness [and] of thy praise all the day long. Psa 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Concerning the "I want out" post,...Nothing has ever occurred to Our Father, and if it has,it probablly only happened once.God wants us to use todays battle's to help someone else with,in the future, and also ,these battle's are for our personnal benefit. How we respond to to particular episode's in our life is our decesion.Be careful what you wish for, because God may provide you with a way out,but not exactly the way you wanted it.Be patient,...be still.

Mike,
Sorry... but no. The Amish are goofy and the minnonites are strange! Once you get to understanding their doctrines. Although I do know one minnonite community that is "liberal". They allow colorful cars, as long as they are not too bright! They are actively evangelizing within our world... and welcome outsiders into their church. Beautiful people in this "liberal" community. Very open and nice. They even have colorful minnonite dresses and suits.
The Amish... well they are goofy! But won't elaborate more since they are extremely unlikely to be able to defend their lifestyle.... No technology you know. Talk to them and find out what they believe, you'll understand.

Christians are called to be humble....now that is humble?
Pro 16:19 Better [it is to be] of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Our boldness should always come from the LORD...and not used for our personal gain.
Pro 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
For we can do nothing in and of ourselves....
Phl 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
1Pe 2:11 ¶ Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by [your] good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
May the LORD bless you always!

The Lord has shown you how to come out of it, by example and His teaching. Those who Love the Lord will follow His example and teaching and take up their cross and follow Him.
The labors of man are your torment. Laboring for the things of the beast.
17 Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."*
18 "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.
Matthew 8
20 And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."
Matthew 10
38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
40 "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me
27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."

None of us is righteous in our own right...only through the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
and His sacrifice makes clean...our own sacrifices are to love Him and believe when
we have not seen, yet this is faith...and the actions of holding fast to the Word, is our
meat and drink...so, drink deeply, beloved...for the King has prepared a feast for us.
and do not think that going to the mountain was in vain...your journey is not in vain...
and it is an act of faith that takes us to the mountain...where we lay every other
word down and seek the face of God...not from Moses... from the burning bush...
that act will release something into your life and those who agreed with you and whose
burden you carried. don't ya see, child of God...you heard the voice to go to the
mountain...and to that mountain you went...
this is acting on His Word in your heart, and in the Bible...no one else sends us the
mountain...only the Lord...hold on to that, too!
